Anyone a fan of Coldplay?

I got around to listening to their newest album "A Head Full of Dreams" but I only like a few of the songs. :( It's much too 'pop'y for me.

I tend to like the sadder, more heartfelt songs so I like "Ghost Stories", however.

I am not a huge fan of their band, so to speak, but I do like their album "A Rush of Blood to the Head". I sometimes play an album playlist on Youtube whenever I feel the need to relax.

Never really listened to them heavily. But I like the songs I know by them, those being "Viva La Vida", "Violet Hill", and another I don't remember the name of.

I like Coldplay a lot, though their songs have different... feels, I guess, and I like some more than others. I'm not a big fan of, say, Clocks or The Scientist or Midnight, but I really like A Sky Full of Stars, Viva la Vida, Violet Hill, and Death and All His Friends. I guess I prefer their songs with the more lofty instrumentals, since their instrumentals, when they make use of them, are excellent.

These days, Coldplay is one of the few pop bands that I still find enjoyable in a sea of sucky pop bands (one of the big reasons why my brother listens more to country and I listen more to power metal).

Viva La Vida is a good though, though a bit overplayed. Coldplay is a bit like Gorillaz, which is another band I really like.

I found Gorillaz too weird for my liking. .-.

I hated, like HATED, Coldplay as a kid but they're growing on me now. And I don't even mind their more recent, pop songs. I actually like them with a happier beat. If I listen to the older, more melancholy, Coldplay songs I find myself getting depressed. xD
