I have been receiving worrying reports of chus and possibly humans being transformed into Dittos. While I am confused and frustrated over the lack of details, I do know this--this malady (for lack of a better way to describe it) needs to be stopped before the world becomes a large blob of nothing that can become everything.

I may not agree with the chu regime and their war-like tendencies, but stopping the Ditto threat is something this chu can get behind.

What you are about to read are my research notes gathered from my quest to figure out who caused the Ditto transformation and why.

So far, a promising lead has been found in the very Pokedex entry for Ditto:

"Its transformation ability is perfect. However, if made to laugh, it can't maintain its disguise."

So tonight, I will encourage the other chus to find anything and everything funny--I don't care if it's a cartoon, the Muppets, a novelty song, or even a pie fight in an old-timey movie--just something to make the members of the Hive Mind laugh! Once we unmask the Dittos, then they are potentially vulnerable to attack.

My contributions to Operation Funny Bone (I know, Dittos don't have bones, but bear with me here.) are the following:

Mahna Mahna (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTXyXuqfBLA)
Yakety Sax (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4NDLJow1ZE)
I Know a Song that Gets on Everybody's Nerves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj1heGiIehU)

Now to see if any of these work.

I woke up today with reports that the Ditto threat has been mostly contained for now--while progress is ongoing to remove the last few pockets of stragglers, it seems my theory of funny items was true.

I will continue gathering funny items in hopes of making the stragglers laugh--maybe this is the key to ending the threat. It is also possible some would-be victims displayed an unusual resilience--this warrants further study.

Those stragglers turned out to be tougher than we all thought, and the Dittos appear to have gotten a second wind. We have been ordered to retreat to base to rethink our strategy.

But we will not go gently into that gooey night--though our commander may have fallen to them, I will continue my research into Ditto and humor, so we will be ready to strike back when the time comes.

Until then,
Lita

I like how you incorporated Ditto's pokedex entry into this. Very nice touch. Though I am a bit confused, what this just meant to be a diary style journal or a scientific journal? Because if it's a diary style then I'm a bit confused as to why the time was added unless this was a video or audio recording. And if this was a scientific journal, then not only is there the issue of the time stamp but also this isn't how scientific journals are written.

That aside, I like the style it's done in and I'm interested in seeing if this will continue or if your story has ended.

As a scientist-chu at heart, even Lita's personal diaries are considered "research logs" to her, so what you are seeing is her diary of the whole affair as it unfolded

After a bit of a long journey, I discovered a Zoroark's den that many of the displaced chus have taken shelter in. The den's owner seemed sympathetic to our cause, and considering how enthusiastically he reacted to my humor research, we may have a powerful ally.

I will continue my humor research alongside my fellow chus and Zoroark--the Dittos won't know what hit them!
