Neo's Log: Entry #1 - 4/28/2016
Nothing happened the way it was supposed to happen. I'm not sure where the infection started, whether Fate was the original carrier, or whether Xanthe could be considered Patient Zero. All I know now is this.
It may have already spread beyond our control. One by one, they are all being assimilated by what has been called the Ditto Infection.
The symptoms are appalling. Faces, wiped away, replaced by a mere minimalistic rendition of their former selves. Where there were once eyes, holes are now there instead. Empty, unsettling holes, one after another. They gaze as if they stare into souls, in no discernible direction, or all of them at once. I don't even know for sure how they now work, but somehow they can still see and the victims are still self-aware, although nothing seems the same now. The most disturbing symptom is the victims, the infected, don't believe that there is anything wrong. They don't even realize they have been assimilated and are now all Dittos themselves. Pokémon, human, even completely different species are not spared by this rapidly-escalating pandemic.
In my time, I have never seen any pandemic like this before, and it has me worried if the true victims are simply prisoners in their own mind as they watch their internal Dittos commandeer their bodies acting as their host, or if their true selves are gone permanently, now joining the ever-growing hordes of assimilator pink blob-like organisms that have been attempting to seize control of our world as infiltrator units attacking us from within.
The victims have been succumbing to this assimilation in droves and in ways I never dreamed possible. At once, early on, even I myself came face to face with the infection, but thankfully, I discovered I am immune. Call it luck, but this contagion was not able to produce a Ditto embryo inside me like it did with all the others.
There are still survivors out there. Sarah, Noble, and myself are just a few that were exposed to the pandemic, but we were able to resist the assimilation. But in the meantime, I have seen friends and colleagues succumb to this infection. And one by one, it has been rapidly spreading to others.
We, the survivors, are working to find a cure and develop an immunity. And though we don't know when, we will find it. But in the meantime, I find myself sleeping less. The blank, minimalistic faces keep appearing in my darkest nightmares, but upon awaking, I have been driven to find the answer and the solution. We are in a race against time, but we will take back our world.
If you're reading this, be vigilant. Be aware. They are watching, but we will survive like we always have.

Neo's Log: Entry #2 - 4/28/2016
As of late, there have been multiple developments.
It is clear the contagion is spreading rapidly. Additional victims were claimed since the last entry, including the late Chakramaster and his fiancé Gemma. Unfortunately, my attempts to mercifully terminate them were not entirely successful. However, we have at least identified them as Ditto carriers and have been flagged for elimination by the Regime, which has been activated as of late after operating in the shadows since working in the underground of the country of PXR. Thankfully, the Ditto infiltrator units were not aware that the Regime had been working as a Shadow Ops throughout the country since the first of April. It has given us a chance to hold back the infestation and locate operatives that have been seizing major sectors of PXR City. As of late, we have not started evacuating civilians from the infected areas, but we have been conducting several midnight raids on key locations the Regime has identified as "hot zones."
In the meantime, we have learned the identity of our adversary, known as the "Ditto Hivemind," "The Supremacy of Transforming Dittos," or "STDs" for short, but fellow Regime operatives have been referring to them as "The Faceless" or using derogatory terms like "gum," "blobs," and "fleshbags." References to other Supremacy dogma, such as "His Gooeyness" and "Purple Light" has been appearing as well as of late, as it seems our enemy has taken on the form of a cult-like following in the wake of the first stages of infection. Their motives, as we had suspected, point toward national takeover of PXR, which we fear may lead up to a greater campaign of global infestation. Thankfully, we were able to contain the threat during its early stages. Had we not, chances are good we would not have the strategic position we currently have or the tactical intel that we now possess.
Tactical Operative, Codename "Lightning Dash," has established a forward outpost within the Prism sector (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?9690-The-Resistance-is-the-only-Safety!-%28Zoroark-Giveaway%29&p=194258#post194258) of PXR, which has been actively distributing Zorua and Zoroark to operatives involved in the Prism Operation. These Pokémon, which have formed a tactical joint operation with the Regime, have been providing essential intel and reconnaissance detail on confirmed carriers as well has keeping the infestation limited to red zones.
Shadow Operative Sergeant Steven_Six was successful in drawing out several of the STD carriers (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?9688-The-Ditto-Hivemind) while posing as one of the infiltrator units himself. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to confirm additional carriers and add their elimination to our operations playbook, but in my personal attempt to destroy them by rigging the illegitimate bunker with explosives, they evacuated from the strike zone. The intel on the operations, however, will prove valuable as our teams prepare surgical strikes on the STD blacksites of operation.
Unfortunately, as of late, we have not completed research on the cure, what we have dubbed as "The Purge Project." However, it is only a matter of time. Current research suggests that only an immunity may be possible, which would mean all current carriers would have to be terminated as their ailment could be considered terminal. Only time will tell, however. We are hoping for a reversal agent, but ERL (Electric Rodent Laboratories) cannot promise the kind of parasitical extraction medical device we would require to address this pandemic.
In the meantime, we must not give up hope. Despite the fact the infection has claimed additional civilians, our cause is still strong, and we will prevail. They were not expecting resistance on this level, and their ignorance of our current shadow operations will not serve them well in the days to come. They will go the way of the ground types that we eliminated earlier this month.
The Regime will not fail. We will be vigilant. We will be victorious.

Looks good so far, but I would also add the possible lead of making a ditto laugh

Hahaha. You tried your best to terminate us and failed. 83
However we may one day return to the ERR, when the purpose of the STDs has been fulfilled.

The ERR lost, though. We pretty much decided it was canon. :P

Well, barring the fact that only one person submitted for Pro-Ditto writing, if you want to count that. I'd say it's a draw, regardless, really, because they didn't take the hill at all...

Neo's Log: Entry #3 - 4/30/2016
The situation has only gotten worse. Unfortunately, our attempts to keep the Ditto incursion have met with repeated failure one incident after another. Not to mention additional victims were claimed recently and despite all the efforts, there's been no sign of the Regime having any noticeable impact on the problem.
I had to go underground. At this point, it's the only way for anyone still involved in the resistance to stay alive.
After several incidents of my position being compromised, I knew if didn't change my course of action soon, the situation would only get worse and I had a feeling that once the STDs realized there was no way to assimilate me, they'd just off me outright and I wouldn't be able to have any chance of overcoming this.
The original attempt to access key PXR City files was met with extreme failure (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?9708-Ditto-Count-to-1000/page101) as the STDs, in their swarming numbers, were able to decrypt the data before we could. Once we lost that, we started losing everything and it became apparent this was not the touch-and-go operation we thought it would be. We just didn't have the manpower to hold them back even though Special Operative Tazz had deployed his team to help with the files. There were just too many STDs and this was even prior to the more recent additions they have made. By the time we thought we were getting a handle on the situation, they had multiplied with their efforts growing to feverish paces. When we had abandoned all hope, we evacuated and withdrew from the operation, hoping there would be some way to reclaim what we had lost.
At this point, we've been simply lucky to hold out for as long as we have.
Since then, things have gone deadly quiet. The remainder of the PXR populace has become... complacent with the entire nation being held captive by the STDs and the Ditto masters. And while they have tried to make it seem like everything is normal and there is no cause for alarm, I have been seeing their true agenda unfold and it continues to get progressively worse by the day. Ghostwriter was yet another victim claimed by the Ditto overlords, followed by Corey soon after. After trying to see if there was still time to undo the damage, I saw the same blank faces with their dark, simple smiles, indicating all hope for them had been lost.
Commander Raichu's last known transmission (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?9280-ATTENTION-Greetings-to-Chu-Comrades!&p=196808&viewfull=1#post196808) is disturbing and it makes it evident the Regime is no more. Even my attempts to update him on the situation from the underground network have been met with failure. It's as if he never existed.
Maybe it would have better if he hadn't considering what I think had gone down...
With the Regime gone, its leader eliminated, and additional victims falling to the ongoing wrath of the Supremacy, I don't know if their true agenda will ever be exposed. I fear we will see the ongoing assimilation of other innocent civilians and the world we once knew will be no more.
In the meantime, I've had to operate from the shadows in undisclosed locations scattered throughout the PXR country. The signs are still there. The blank, vacant stares of the assimilated. They try to blend in, but it's always the faces that give them away. They're always looking back, smiling, somehow confident and smug that despite the knowledge that their evil deeds are nefarious, they will continue to have their way with the rest of us for whatever dark event or purpose their ultimate goal includes.
I am still here, and despite the eerie silence, the shadows still whisper.

I like the whole survivalist theme going on here. The font also meshes very well. I am curious to know if you will be continuing this given the recent Zorua development and all. It is very well written and despite it lacking true action, you can just see the scenes of everything transpiring quite well.

Ah, yes, I was halfway through a new journal entry, but then... Game of Thrones.
Expect a new entry soon! There have been loads of great new developments!

Game of Thrones is important and a good reason to stop writing because it is Game of Thrones.

Neo's Log: Entry #4 - 5/01/2016
It appears there's been something new developing.
For the past few days, after the disheartening fall of the Electric Rodent Regime, the STDs and their Ditto masters have been having their way with PXR, free to do anything they want throughout the nation now completely unopposed. Many of the nation's areas, including the XAT drawings and the Fusion thread have been overtaken by Ditto challenges. So if seeing Ditto everywhere makes you anxious, prepare to be anxious.
As for Commander Raichu, he's still nowhere to be seen. For all we know, however, any number of the now-present pink blobs could have been him. They say ignorance is bliss and maybe it would be best if I didn't stumble upon the truth. That might give me even more nightmares to add to all the ones I've been going through already.
A somewhat ominous message from "Operative Z" (http://www.pokemoncrossroads.com/forum/showthread.php?9706-The-STDs-vs-the-ERR&p=197189&viewfull=1#post197189) assured the PXR community that some kind of shadow organization would be dealing with the Ditto infestation. It seemed rather mysterious and enigmatic at first until... well, his wily, puckish, and energetic Zorua partner made it very apparent the Zorua and Zoroark duo is now rallying up support for their mischievous activities. It may not be anything like the Electric Rodent Regime, but it's a welcome sight after the Regime crumbled in defeat.
Needless to say, them being around makes me feel more secure, but there's still uncertainty in the air about who will be victorious in days to come.

A nice brief description of what has transpired. It's short and sweet to the point, but with so little that has progressed, it's to be expected.

Yeah, I was hoping there would be more to it, but then I kind of ran out of material. :P
Thanks again for your feedback, though!
