How often do you update apps/programs?

For the most part most of my phone apps don't update very often. A few of them do a big monthly update and then if there's bugs there's smaller ones throughout the month but nothing too much.

Not that often; I'm always annoyed by the skype prompt to update. XD I don't really bother to update stuff that much, aside from the iOS version because I want to be on top of that. But unless the app updates by itself, normally I don't realise till way later because I don't bother to look it up.

UGGGHHHHH. Every. Damn. Time. No, Skype, I don't want to update to your newest version. Stop asking me and stop updating for me because you think you're doing me a favor. And stop telling me afterwards that you did it for me and ending that message with a smiley face. I've had to reinstall an old version about half a dozen times.
When it comes to mobile apps, I just let them update on their own. I don't care anymore.

Their new versions were not nearly as good as the old ones. -_- Eventually I gave up, though, and now I just let it do whatever.

I got so annoyed at Java's incessant and annoying updates that I totally uninstalled it. I'll reinstall it when I actually need it again. That, and Quicktime Player, which I almost never use. If it nags me again, I'm blowing that one up, also.
As for mobile apps, yeah, I let those update on their own, although lately I haven't been playing too many games on it. I got so tired of Unison League's grindfests that I'm honestly thinking of just wiping that one off also.

I don't play much of anything on the computer, but what I have on my iPad typically either autoupdates, or doesn't update often if at all.
The one that updates the most is Vainglory, which does a big update every month or so to introduce a new character and a few smaller ones here and there for balancing out the new character, old characters, and items. Every once in a while an even smaller update to introduce a new character skin.

I update stuff (that I care about) in my laptop at the end of every year, especially during the holiday season when one needs to sort out stuff anyway.
However, I absolutely hate it when my smartphone needs updates, because regardless of whether I actually update it or ignore it, its battery will drop down from high 80% to low 20% on that day itself, meaning that I need to recharge it again, even after just charging it, which normally I only do every week or so.

I HATE IT.
Also my stupid computer at work pops up with a notification EVERY MORNING to restart it to update. NO. NO, I WILL NOT.

If a program doesn't auto-update, I do updates only occasionally. In other words, "whenever I feel like it". I am so sick of the fact that we have to update all our programs every couple of weeks. I am also so sick of everything being full of security holes, and wish we could go back to the days when a single software version was good for the lifetime of the computer it was installed on (1980s and early 1990s).

On my phone I only update the apps I actually use, which isn't many. Lots of apps on Windows phone are pretty crappy/beta so I look forward to updates. xD
On my computer, I only update stuff if it asks and it's something I use. Flashplayer is the only thing that I notice updating a lot haha. Also Firefox. CALM DOWN MOZILLA, CALM DOWN. Like we were on Firefox 3 for YEARS and now what are we on? 30 something???

If the program it wants me to restart for an update, then... It's probably not getting updated anytime soon. xD
For my mobile devices, I don't usually update either.
