Well, annoying music thread here. Let's all bask in our ceaseless hatred for certain songs and see if we can find some common ground on which to stand and hate together.

First, that one song that goes, "But first, lemme take a selfie! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN1xomBlhSA)" Blah. It's so annoying. (Is this even a song?) And The Lazy Song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLexgOxsZu0) by Bruno Mars. I just find it incredibly stupid.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of most modern music (there are some songs I like and some I can stand, but most of what I hear is annoying). The two you named are just a couple of the ones that bug me.

Now, I like 80's music. A lot. But there is one song that I just can't stand from that decade, and it's the only one I know of that I don't either tolerate or like. Girls Just Want to Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper. I don't know why, but it's just annoying.

Modern pop music makes me cringe for the most part. I know, it's not very original to hate on Justin Bieber, but I don't care, I can't stand him. I find it hilarious that "Baby" is the most disliked video on YouTube, which is doubly ironic considering his YouTube videos was how he was found in the first place. It's also a clear sign this douche-canoe's career needs to be struck dead when SIX of his other music videos are on the top 30 most disliked YouTube videos of all time.

And yes, that Bruno Mars garbage is so overplayed. I didn't mind it so much at first (certainly didn't like it), but when it kept popping up again and again on in-store radios, I felt like punching holes in walls with my fists.

Pretty much, any time I turn on the radio I have to turn it right back off because it falls into one of a few categories:
1. Obsessive cursing
2. All about that booty
3. Horrible horrible beat

I don't really mind cursing in songs, like This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race by Fall Out Boy and Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars are great in my opinion. But when I turn the radio on nowadays I don't want to hear how many curse words you can fit into a sentence. That's just not appealing to me, especially when it's the f-bomb. I hear that in school I don't need you dropping that twenty times per non-f-bomb lyric.
There are some booty or sex songs I don't mind, like All About that Bass by Meghan Trainor or Bang Bang by Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Nicki Minaj. But then there are other ones that literally all the song is about is sex and the only lyric you can hear is "gotta get that ***" or something about genitalia, and I absolutely despise those songs because they just make me feel icky.
And of course, usually if it qualifies for one of the above, it also has a sucky beat. Bang Bang is a good exception because while it is all about getting that booty, it doesn't make it blatantly obvious and even though it's easy to catch, the nice beat makes me want to listen to it anyway. Other songs like that, not so much.
