It is mainly a fortress, used for protecting the towns and villages by the Great River. That said, it is not unheard of for travelers to take shelter there--the soldiers stationed there are loyal to the true Empress, who instructed them never to turn away a traveler.
That would be awesome, thanks! I'll get to finishing my sign up right away. :) Oh, one small question, is the Great River Keep like a village/city? Would it be a place my character coulld conceivably live, or is it just a fort for protection and only military people would be there?
We haven't gotten very far, so if you want to meet us at Great River Keep, I can work your character in.
