*whistles* That's almost as bad as kind of what I plan to do in my undertale AU. No one dies (kind of) but it's similar. Wanna hear?

No I totally understand. I have a character like that so I understand.

HOORAY FOR TORTURE! But yeah so now I'm much more torturous. The most recent things I've done that were pretty bad were: a) in the fallout RP sign up here, my character has apparently been put through a combination of some of the worst vaults, including but not limited to experimentation, lose of pretty much everyone she knew (except her boyfriend), torture, and cryogenics. Fun stuff! And b) the whole Jack the Ripper story. Long story short, Madder was going to be hunted down by the incarnation of Death, but since Madder had summoned Death's old girlfriend to help him kill everyone in London, Death couldn't muster the courage to do (cause he's a wuss). So Life went and did it instead. Problem is though, Death's old girlfriend is pretty much Life's daughter (it's difficult to explain) so when Life "killed" her, she ended up hesitating which allowed Madder to capture her and use her a torture slave for two days since she can't die by conventional means. Oh yeah it was a very gruesome story.

I can tell. Poor guy. That's gonna suck to find out.

Yeah that's definitely fun to do too.

Yeah poor Leonard was really screwed up. Especially since his memory wipe was just part of X's ultimate plot to kill another character. Yeah it was messed up, especially since Leonard blames himself for everything happening.

Peyton feels really guilty about it because he really fears telling his friends since he blatantly broke a promise to the girl he has a huge crush on. It's actually a running joke for all of us in the OOC chats to question him about if he likes her and if he desires her and stuff (cause we're total pervs ya know) and he'll deny it but then there's suddenly a lie detector strapped to him. XD Anyway, he's afraid that they'll all react horribly when they get their memories back of what he did because not only will they find out that he's been the mole this whole time (there's been suspicion of a mole and it's been cast off on Leonard for now for the obvious reason of he was under X's control for a bit) and that he broke their promise of never betraying their friendship for their lives.

Haha, I've done that too. It really depends on the characters though. If they're characters from the series of multiverses that Madder is from, then usually it's just like "how did they get to be here" and other times, if they're from a more relaxed universe it's just like "I wonder what would happen if..." So I do it too.

Oh I've always been mean to my characters, just not to the same extent I am now. Some of my first roleplays I had some of these happen:
1) X and Y characters had just gotten together, but X was a runaway princess. X was going to be forced into an arranged marriage so she rebelled as best she could by "discarding her worth" with Y. Then the two were separated for several weeks. X was nearly married until X's old fiance A (that's another really long story) busts in, declares the wedding null and void and then escorts A back to Y where they are happily reunited. Because happy endings and shenanigans.
2) Character L is best friend with character S. Along with R, B, M, and a few others, they are fighting against X. X employs one of his minions to kidnap and wipe L's memories. But not just any memories. Oh no. It was all his memories specifically of S and of the organization they worked for. Long story short, L ended up working for X's side for a while, caused S to resort back to drinking (which L hates mind you), and a bunch of other stuff. He's still really guilty about it too. And the best part? L's not even my character. XD
3) In the same roleplay as above, characters P, C, Ar, and G are all really close friends. P has a crush on C, I should mention. They are also fighting against X, just 50 years prior to the current group (which contains L, S, and co). X ends up trapping C, Ar, and G in the virtual reality that they use to fight X and P, in an attempt to save them, betrays them, agrees to fight with X if X agrees not to harm his friends. X agrees, then traps them anyway. P tries to save his three friends by preventing the main hard drive powering the virtual reality from shutting down, through which X uses to enter P's body and somewhat take control. P fails in saving his friends resulting in C, Ar, and G being trapped in the virtual reality until the thing can be rebooted again. The only problem is, you have to wait at least twelve hours. In the course of these twelve hours, P quickly discovers he reacts violently to metal (like door handles, lamp posts, etc) and people notice his friends are missing. P is accused with their murders and he has no way to return to the factory, ultimately trapping his friends there until the second group of users (who would come about 20 years later (30 prior to the current group)) arrive. P ends up fleeing to America and becomes a computer programmer. He learns how to control his violent reactions but X still plagues him with voices in his head and visions. X also prevents P from aging as quickly, to the point where he ages a year like every... I can't remember. By the time 2016 rolled around he was 25 let's go with that. After fifty years pass, P finally returns and is heartbroken (yet relieved) to discover his three friends have no memories of him whatsoever due to the virtual reality shutting down on them. It's a common side effect and since it had actually happened twice to them, that was even worse. P ends up bringing them back to reality and he and C start dating but X (unknown to the others since he has yet to tell them) still plagues him with visions and violent reactions to metal. The rp actually died right before P was going to tell everything to C.

Yeah, for me, it usually has to do with something like "I have a question about why such and such character is like this" and so I write about it to answer the question. XD

Mm, okay so I should explain how he works. So, Madder (in the roleplay universe in which he exists) is Jack the Ripper. To make a very long series of explanations short, I ended up (just for the heck of it) writing a little story about him, how he's unstable in the afterlife and whatnot. Then I wrote another story about he became Jack the Ripper, and that particular story was quite... gruesome. Prior to this point, other than being somewhat mean but not overly so to my characters in roleplays, I had never been like out right evil to them. Following this, I found it a lot easier to write torture stories and such about characters. I couldn't do it all the time, but if I was in a certain mood, sure. Online, my friends jokingly said "Madder is helping you" and such. Eventually that developed into him becoming my second personality that occasionally comes out, takes a rather innocent style story, and twists it into something more evil in style.

That's why I usually work in short stories and stuff. If I want to do more with them I'll write another short story. And sometimes I'll mess around with my friends with them as well. Though one of the running jokes on another site is that one character (Madder Hatter) has actually become my second personality that you can only see when I'm writing.

Lol yeah I see what you mean. I often hate only using my OCs once because once I do that and then the RP dies they tend to disappear without any record so I try to either make them recyclable or write a story for them so that I'll have some record of them in the future.

I mean, it's becoming more difficult given I'm sticking to more unique characters now, but when I was first getting started, importing was very simple and easy. Probably my main few that can go into any roleplay are: Sloane Jackson, Raven Sincock, and (maybe) Dylan Thomas. Sloane and Raven are like that because they were my first ever OCs and Dylan because he's tied to Sloane so if Sloane exists there's a pretty high chance Dylan will at least be there by mention. Sloane and Raven have been (but are not limited to): gijinkas, humans, pokemon, anthros, animatronics, super humans, mages, elves, birds, pokemon trainers, demigods and the list goes on.

Yeah I'll admit there have been some very big ones that I loved. There was one roleplay that would be five years old now that I met a bunch of my characters in. The only thing is, we regard them as like sacred territory so no one's ever reused those characters. XD I used the hypothetical son of one of my characters though.

At the very least I get to recycle characters out of roleplays but most roleplays I'm in tend to die pretty quick. They do not usually last ten pages and if they do, it's not more than that.
