Wait, what are these castles? Do you get your own one? How does it all work? My curiosity is piquing. And what you've said about the characters is interesting as well; the diverse cast is one of the things I really like about Fire Emblem games. :D
Birthright is the one I meant, I just forgot their names. I like a challenge too, but I'm not too good at Fire Emblem games (I even play in Casual Mode because I'm scared of permanent deaths). :3 Yeah, I really like the games' style. It's the first Fire Emblem game to ditch a more traditional Medieval setting for something more Oriental, I think, and it just works. The game looks amazing. :D
Longer by far. The first few were more fun because of the extra planets and because they packed in so much content. 3 is my all-time favourite because there was so much to do, the weapons were great and the story was pretty decent too. :D I haven't actually gotten either yet because of a number of reasons, but I think I'd pick Conquest because it's allegedly easier and I'm not too good at Fire Emblem games, even though I really enjoy them. :3
I picked them all up a couple of years ago after playing 1 (with 3 and Tools of Destruction being the only other ones I had at that point), and I had a great time playing through them all. Later ones - especially Into the Nexus - are generally much shorter than the PS2 games anyway, although I can't speak for the two I haven't played; Q-Force and All 4 One. Pokémon's obviously up there, but I really like the Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest games. There was a really obscure RPG called Nostalgia that I used to love on my DS as well. :D
You were close. "Life imitates art" is the phrase. =3
Yeah, it's just such a unique mix of platforming and shooting that it works in so many ways. It can really test you at some times, with the toughest part of any of the games being the Drek battle at the end of the first game (you won't believe how much I ran out of ammo). The humour's always been great, even in Deadlocked/Gladiator, which was a little darker in tone. My main complaint with the reboot was that it abandoned some of the funnier characters, particularly Helga, who was a favourite of mine. It's still a great came, though. :D Same here. Give me even just a decent RPG and you'll have to pry me away from it two days later because I haven't stopped playing it. :3
All kinds of things, really, although mainly platformers and RPGs. I've just finished playing the new Ratchet & Clank for the first time, and I've made lots of progression into Challenge Mode. To be honest, as long as games are colourful, unique (or at the very least have fun spins on a pre-existing formula), then I really enjoy them. :D
Let me just say that I think you have a great taste in games. :D
Not shoegazer but a lover of good music, 'tis all.
Actually, neither were a reference, but I do love Two Steps from Hell. They're my jam. Omg 'Dad metal.' XD Yes, yes I do. >:) Am I supposed to spare you because you're a bidoof fan? xD
