You can post as often as you like. I encourage people to post because it helps get them points. At least posting when your character would be involved helps the story a lot.. On the flip side if you do not have much time to post once a day would be great.

Questions about GCEA dont bother me :) As I said the more you know the easier your transition will be.

I think you mean Butch and Cassidy ;) and yeah there wont be to many references to the cartoon in Yellow but established rocket grunts (other than Jesse and James are fun to play with.)

Normally I pick from the pokemon. Enough to keep your team on par with the others. It doesnt have to be a starter. Its a mega pokemon and it can be from any region. The starter pokemon you pick is from Kanto. Sorry if that was confusing.

Its always applied to your target.

They are selected from pokemon that have appeared already to keep the new rper on the same part as the others. Players also get a special pokemon. A basic stage evolution pokemon that is unique to them. Youll notice Max has a marshtomp now. Mudkip was his Mega Start up partner.

The Manga is really interesting. The gym leaders are bad guys. :)


Honestly when I do bonuses I do them like this.

Opponents: Boldroe
Attacker: Squirtle
Opponent's Point Value: 25
Attacker's Point Value: 25
Bonuses: -3 (- 5 Type Water over Rock/ + 2 1st stage over Basic Stage)
Opponent's Remaining Points: 0
Attacker's Remaining Points: 3

You dont need apply bonuses diretly to each pokemon. Sometimes they cancel each other out.

Also when you do bonuses always apply them for or against your target. Thats why you see the + for the evolution bonus.

Well the good news is there is a new trainers package :) This gives new people points and pokemon to start. I also help them get introduced to the story. T

As for the difference. The teams have different villains to face and are in different versions of Hoenn. Thunder Yellow follows more of the Manga.

A lot of this RPG have premade battle systems like URPG and ASB. this systems require battle calculators and refs. I wanted to make a system that used a pokemons type and level to give the player a chance to battle instantly. Recently we voted and decided that the type chart was not completely accurate. So we choose to make all No Effect Bonuses a type advantage that way it would be reflected in the battle. The Kanto battling system is much easier to understand than the hoenn one..lol

Yeah I completely understand. If you were were interested I would suggest Thunder Yellow. We had new person join with us yesterday and the story is still young.

The point math comes off a little complicated at first but once you the bonuses down its pretty easy.
