secret battlestars were just an additional thing. basically in previous seasons if you completed a week of challenges [each week has 7 challenges] you get a loading screen, and that loading screen has a clue to a hidden star hidden on the Island and if you collect it you get a tier-up so like say you're tier 77 it goes to 78 after that

but they redid the challenges format entirely now there are free limited time challenges and those have the clue loading screens

i try to be a completionist w/ the passes, that means all 10 weeks of challenges, all secret battlestars earned, tier 100, etc.
