Darkrai had told Magnum the Typhlosion that Corruption simply couldn't be reversed, and also gave him and his team free reign on how they wanted to eliminate them.

"It'll be done," Magnum assured Darkrai, actually looking forward to this part of the deal.

With their team leader's command, Team Lockdown had headed out. Magnum, despite his differences with trusting Darkrai prior to the discussion, was reassured when Darkrai would not question or restrict his methods. Killing something as powerful as a legendary Pokémon required everything they could use at their disposal. Cheap ploys, brutal and merciless tactics, and dishonorable methods of attack were things that Team Lockdown simply did to get the job done in a very means justifying the ends pattern.

Magnum's first objective was to find stakeholders that suffered from the existence of legendaries. Whether they were Pokémon that had suffered before or were at serious risk of suffering from them, he knew they could be a very reliable source of intelligence and information considering both sides stood to gain from their immediate elimination. There were those that wanted revenge and protection...

...and Team Lockdown was in a position to provide both no matter what the cost.
