A new update has arrived for the app, Pokémon Duel, and with it comes the Dark Gym Cup!

During this event all Dark-type Movement 1 & 2 figures get an increase of 1 for movement and Fighting-types getting an Attack increase of 20 for each attack. It also gives the Darkrai figure as a prize. It lasts until June 6th with booster redemptions lasting until July. Trophies will also be given at the end of the event with you being able to display on your ranking screen. So, players of Pokémon Duel, what are you waiting for? Get the powerful Darkrai figure while you can and crush the opposition in the fight of darkness!

Yeah unfortunately I haven't been playing either. I participated in the first couple Gyms, but I lost most of my interest in the game when they released Deoxys and Reuniclus. Those two decks were absurdly strong and it took them almost two months (or thereabouts) before they finally nerfed them. I still really enjoy the gameplay, but their release cycles are impossible to keep up with unless you spend money on gems. If they had kept the sextuple box in as a permanent option in the store then I might have stuck with it, but as is it's just too common to spend 200 gems and not get a single EX.
I've mostly switched over to Fire Emblem Heroes as my mobile game since their pull system seems to be a lot more forgiving and it's a lot less detrimental if you skip summoning a banner compared to Duel's featured boosters. The other thing I like about Heroes is that all of the matches are against the AI which makes it a lot easier to play games quickly as opposed to Duel where you can get sucked into a 10+ minute match.
