Cheers and good times!
Ah yeah, that's a good choice! Affinity Designer would also be my go-to program in case my version of CS6 somehow couldn't be used and I need something that feels close to it. Considering my version of CS6 is still on a CD and my current computer needs an external drive to read it, I feel like its days are numbered, unfortunately. Everything is digital these days and you see less and less of physical media, unfortunately.
But yeah, I really don't like all these subscription services, either. Photoshop should just be a program you buy once and that's it, why keep paying for something that doesn't change that much or give you anything new? CS6 hasn't changed in over a decade and it's been fine with me! I really think it just comes down to greed and I'm not surprised people have had it with Adobe.
