    Name: Magenta LaRue, aka Seraph

    Gender: Female

    Age: 19

    Power: Semi-Willful Power Shifting. Magenta has a power that is theoretically one of the most powerful that could exist: at will, she can change powers. However, this power comes with a major caveat in that she cannot, at all, choose the powers that result. Furthermore, her powers have an agenda of their own: they’ll generally shift into something that makes it possible for her to survive a situation, but not straightforwardly and not with much consideration for her other objectives. Trying to game this by resetting her powers multiple times in a row will result in her powers punishing her with weaker and more obnoxious abilities. Generally speaking, the risker her situation, the more potent a power she might be granted, but this is no hard and fast rule. To make this even more annoying, she actually does not know the specific powers she gets: she gets general feelings about them in the vein of “this power is perceptive/kinetic/physical/etc,” and she had to learn what feelings meant in the same way a child learns to read. She cannot even stop resetting her powers at a time where she might get a good one, because when she goes to sleep, she loses any powers entirely.

    Appearance:

    Magenta’s appearance varies day to day, for she often uses makeup and hair dye to change her appearance. She’s a hair under six feet with an olive skin tone, with a sturdy, heavy backpack on her back, and those are the only things that stay consistent in any civilian identity she happens to use. Her most consistent appearance is the one she uses when she wants to appear as Seraph. She wears a cheap white mask, but she decorated it with a sharpie and her incredible art skills, making it flow with incredibly elegant and ornate designs. She usually wears very cheap clothes or else clothes that she could have shoplifted easily. She has highly functional muscle from all the physical exercise she does when trying to not die.

    History:

    Magenta knows what happens to the Foram.

    Her father ran several facilities that managed captured Foram, and when Magenta was 11, she went with him to work one day. He did not intend her to see anything, but Magenta was always a curious child, and when she slipped from his sight to go explore, she opened a door she shouldn’t have and saw something happening to a Foram in there.

    She closed the door before anyone noticed and told her dad that she went to the bathroom, nothing more. But whatever it was, she refuses to talk about it even now, and it clearly has stuck in her mind very hard.

    She struggled quietly about this information for two years, but when she discovered her abilities, she realized that the vaccine her father made her take failed, utterly and completely, even if the way it failed changed when she wanted it to, and every time she went to sleep besides. She struggled to come up with a plan to deal with the situation: after all, she had a very comfortable life. She was used to the comforts that her family’s wealth got her, to excelling not only in school but also in anything vaguely artistic.

    Magenta had, thankfully, been very very careful with any odd seeming impulses, refusing to indulge them in front of anyone for years, on the off chance that her vaccine didn’t take and her father threw her into one of his facilities. Less pleasant, however, was her decision seven days after she realized her powers, during a meeting her father had with some of his subordinates. Her powers had granted her a increased knowledge of chemistry, and she used it to make and contain fluorine gas until she intruded on his board meeting that day and dumped it on his head, very publicly burning him alive.

    At first, the thirteen year old Magenta had no idea what to do with her newfound fugitive from the law status. She was able to evade the law with some success with her art skills: she figured out shoplifting pretty quickly, and could make her face look entirely different with the makeup she snuck into a backpack she stole. In her position, many people would have fallen into a bad crowd, but Magenta did not. No, she did not merely fall into a bad crowd. Oh no. Mere 'bad crowds' cowered in fear of who she actually fell in with, for this was no mere 'bad crowd', or even an 'advanced bad crowd’, this was pure evil: namely, Theresa "Tess" Lively, aka Powder Girl.

    When pro Foram groups argue about Foraminis having rights, Tess single-handedly demonstrates a very good counter argument. Her ability to manipulate particulate matter was not one most people would have thought very threatening until she very abruptly appeared on the scene by using her power to scatter sawdust in the middle of Times Square to create a dust explosion, singing “Humpty Dumpty” just prior. Attempts to stop her went abysmally: the list of people who were killed in the attempt is depressingly long, ranging from powerful Foraminis to elite trained government agents, up to and including Navy SEALs. More terrifyingly, she did not seem to have an overall agenda in perpetrating her massacres: she simply thought that murder was absurdly funny and entertaining, and thought of people only in terms of how amusing their deaths could be. Many people hesitated fighting her early on because her short stature and cutesy, high-pitched voice made them believe themselves mistaken about who was the cause of all the death around her, but very quickly people learned to take her deadly seriously, and entire crowds would blanche in fear when they heard her cyanide-cute voice singing nursery rhymes just before she found a new, creative way to kill everyone in the crowd.

    And she decided to take Magenta under her wing, because the teenager had, “Lots and lots of potential!” and could even “become super duper fun!”

    Magenta was, understandably, not at all enthused by this prospect, but when she tried to object, Tess made it clear that, “Oh, you’re such a silly willy! You can’t leave until you graduate, and to do that you’ve gots to kill me! And if you faaaaiiiil...”

    Tess’s overly saccharine grin combined with the dust cloud she flung with lethal velocity to just miss Magenta made it clear that Tess would have great fun making Magenta her next amusement.

    And so for four months, Magenta was forced to join Tess and the latter’s sick, terrifying amusements. At first, Magenta tried her level best to avoid participating, but Tess was starting to make it clear that Magenta needed to start “practice!” or else face Tess’s nonexistent mercy. But Magenta was clever, and realized that Tess didn’t care who she killed, so long as she was killing, and therefore started to manipulate Tess into pursuing targets of Magenta’s choosing. Under Magenta’s subtle redirection, the duo went after anti Foram officials, gangsters, and other terrorists, and life was, in a very dark way, looking up for Magenta, who went around, wearing an ornately decorated mask and calling herself ‘Seraph.’

    But when, on a rare solo excursion, Magenta saw someone give her the same kind of terrified face people gave Tess, Magenta realized that no matter how noble her intentions, she was still not only enabling Tess’s massacres, but participating in them.

    At first, Magenta despaired. But very quickly, she grew furious at what she had become. She grew angry at the system that abused the Foram to the point where she killed her own father for being a monster, the laws in place that made her very existence illegal, and the ‘mentor’ who shaped her into the very sort of monster she hated. And so, Magenta decided to ‘graduate.’

    She very quickly discarded the idea of fighting Tess directly: while Tess preferred ambushes, Tess had also acquired terrifying experience in fights to the death, and the amount of people she killed for trying to fight her was enough that Magenta could not even begin to count them. Furthermore, when Magenta “rolled” her powers on the day that she decided to kill Tess, the power of the day was an ability that enhanced coordination between allies, minimizing friendly fire and increasing synergy, a power not precisely suited to the overwhelming lethal force Magenta intended to “gift” to Tess. “Save scumming” having the potential to make the situation worse forced Magenta to consider how to use this enhanced coordination power to kill Tess, as she had no intention of staying with Tess for even a day longer.

    Magenta ended up contacting many Foram, leaking Tess’s current location. When three of them arrived to actually try to kill Tess, Magenta stealthily used the enhanced coordination power to make the fight against Tess easier. Unfortunately, while Tess had to try quite a bit during the fight, it was quite clear that, even against the well coordinated and powerful Foram, Tess held the advantage.

    Until Magenta stabbed Tess from behind with a knife to the back of the neck.

    While Tess had powerful abilities, she also required concentration to use them, Without those powers, Tess was unarmed, 4’7”, and slender against someone with a foot and close to a hundred pounds on her who was using a knife.

    Magenta didn’t let up with the knife after the first attack. She stabbed Tess again and again. At first, she was methodical, but she quickly dissolved into an incoherent rage as she stabbed Tess over and over and over, crying and yelling and screaming as she used the knife to stab Tess into the consistency of salsa, venting her frustrations not only at Tess’s tutelage, but also at the terrible direction of her life since she first saw what her father enabled against the Foraminis, only stopping several minutes after the main evidence Tess’s body was a red stain on the ground and finely chopped meat.

    She then got up, brushed herself off, and calmly asked if any of the other (now dumbfounded) Foraminis had lighter fluid, gasoline, or thermite.

    Very shortly after, people began to react to Magenta with even more fear than they already did whenever she was recognizable: apparently, someone recorded the whole thing and put it on the internet (one person actually reuploaded it, replacing the audio with “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead”). Furthermore, the fear only grew for the next years, and it took her a bit to realize why: while she knows that her power is an enormous douche that likes trolling her all the time, all everyone who fought her (and died or were severely injured for their efforts) only saw someone who survived to kill Tess at the age of 14 and who consistently shows up to combat with a different power every time for no apparent reason. Furthermore, attempts at diplomacy failed very badly, as Magenta has a tendency to react to overtures with extreme violence, thanks to assuming that any “allies” actually seek to control her, which only exacerbates her intense feelings of loneliness (that she attempts to suppress as much as possible).

    This is where Magenta is now, with an ability that makes her powerful, an intellect that makes her dangerous, and a sanity that is barely hanging on and slipping all the time.

    Personality:
    On the surface, Magenta is very superficial. Practically every other sentence she uses has some variation of “like”, “so”, or “whatever.” Her actions make this impression even worse, as she has a tendency to act almost entirely on impulse, easily trading a long term benefit for a short term advantage, even to her detriment. She easily comes across as vapid and stupid, and is difficult to take entirely seriously between her speech patterns and her actions. She is not precisely fickle, but she is definitely not the type to stick to a long term master plan. On top of all of this, she has a tendency to be abrasive and condescending, particularly when someone is trying to intimidate or otherwise control her. This especially tends to show up in various graffiti that she leaves around the city, suggesting that both the Vigilantes and Demon’s Run go do things anatomically difficult to impossible.

    However, while her impulsiveness has a tendency to make her come across as less than intelligent, Magenta is both a good critical thinker and extremely creative. It does not matter if she is approaching a canvas, an instrument, or a particularly tough opponent, she is very good at creating entirely new approaches from very little material to work with. Furthermore, her tendency to be impulsive in conjunction with a power that practically exists to jerk her around has left her in many situations with her back against the metaphorical wall, developing her native creativity to the point where she can improvise off of practically nothing. This was especially true after murdering her father, and then even more so after her little apprenticeship under Powder Girl: surviving when everyone is trying to kill you rarely happens by accident.

    Alignment: To Demon’s Run, she’s a particularly hardcore vigilante who likes to kill them sometimes, but she’s a bit too murdery to fit into the vigilantes proper. So technically neutral, but plenty of people have reason to want to recruit or kill her.

    Good news! My better judgement about not joining more RPs has been overridden. Could you reserve me slots for a big buff rough and tough werecat and her small fussy aerokinetic surrogate child?

    Name: Tam Jojo, AKA the Shadowcat.

    Gender: Female.

    Age: 36.

    Power (If any): Essentially, Tam's a werecat. At will, Tam can shapeshift into a somewhat mutated melanistic jaguar (what most people just refer to as a "black panther” and then call it a day). This transformation is not painful, but it is strenuous and it takes time. Partial shifts such as having feline ears or claws are common and fairly easy; a full shift, on the other hand, takes anywhere from fifteen to thirty seconds (up to a full minute if she's been abusing it). Generally, she can manage about three full shifts to and from her feline form per day; at around four, symptoms from fatigue and muscle pain to full blackouts become common, worsening with further transformations. While in feline mode, she remains in control of her mental faculties, though feline instincts are there to help her navigate the changed body - instincts which can sometimes override the human mind in chaotic or stressful situations. In addition, her power gives her above-human resilience and senses in human form, and when transformed she's larger and much stronger than the average jaguar.

    Appearance: Tam is not the sort of person who you easily lose in a crowd. Standing at 6'5", broad-shouldered, with a big body padded by fat and plenty of muscle, she's best summed up as "freaking huge". As a black woman, she has dark skin, which is marked by many scars that criss-cross her body - a wide plethora ranging from big burn marks along her left shoulder and left flank, several gash marks on her belly, and a very prominent scar on the left side of her face from cheekbone to chin. Aside from - or as some people, including Tam, would say "because of" - this scar, Tam has a fairly attractive face, with deep black eyes, full lips, and rounded features aside from a strong jaw. While her hair is naturally black, she keeps it in a "faux hawk" style, leaving a stripe of white-dyed curly, fluffy hair in the middle of her head. She favors thick leather jackets, both for fashion and protection from attacks, though she can also often be sighted in pink or green tanks that show of her muscles. She doesn't like to dress up or wear a lot of jewelry, but she does keep a fake-glass pendant shaped like the Greek delta on pretty much all the time. For Tam, think "huge butch black lady who could probably throw you across the room" and you'll get there. Here's a picture!

    Tam's feline form has a few variations from the traditional jaguar. For starters, her jaguar is about 4'5" at the shoulder, tall enough to give a tiger pause, with thick muscle to match. She also has slightly handlike paws, giving her just a little bit of dexterity without completely reducing her mauling power. Her coat is heavily melanistic, with only a few very dark rosettes visible in the midst of the black. Tam's feline form retains all of Tam's scars, resulting in the appearance of a huge, grizzled catbeast. When she shifts, her irises turn silver.

    History: A little kindness goes a long way. Tam Jojo learned that as a kid, growing up in Harlem, where community was very important. Her childhood was fairly uneventful; everyone knew everyone in her little corner of town, and she was energetic and charismatic enough that she made a lot of friends. However, when she turned fourteen, she quite literally changed. One night, while she was trying to force herself to focus on her homework, she transformed into a massive black panther. While she retained her human mind, the sudden shapeshifting was horrifying; she went into a terrified frenzy, forcing her parents to lock her in her room until she could transform back. It was only their calming words that enabled her to resume her human form.

    Tam bounced back quickly. After a few days, she was already pushing her limits, testing the extent of her abilities. Her parents came down on her sharply for this; they knew the consequences of being identified as a Foram, whereas Tam, who had only ever heard of Foram in textbooks and newspapers, didn't. So when her claws came out during a scrap in middle school, she didn't see it as any worse than just scratching someone with her fingernails, but the authorities disagreed. The short stint she spent in juvenile hall only pushed her to be more rebellious. Why did she have to hide who and what she was?

    She never found the answer to that - and honestly, she never went looking. Instead, she began testing the limits even more. A few jail visits for showing off her powers did nothing to tame her attitude, so it was only a matter of time before she ended up in proper trouble again. After a particularly rough incident in which a bar fight, one which Tam didn't start but absolutely tried to finish by threatening the aggressor with her claws, she found herself facing a years-long sentence. A strange, gentle man intervened; he'd hired an excellent lawyer for her, causing the sentence to be pared down to mere months. Tam sought out this "Orville Leland" immediately upon her release. The man was one of the founding members of the Foramic Rights Coalition, a group that did all they could to fight for change for Foram and to support Foram within the system. Having been floored by Orville's generosity, Tam pledged her loyalty to the cause immediately, leading rally after rally and protest after protest.

    It couldn't last, however. What had been intended to be a peaceful rally ended with a fight between Foram and counter-protesters. Tam managed to restrain herself from the fighting; as a result, she managed to walk away. Much to her dismay, a lot of her friends didn't. When Aria showed up at her door and told her that Orville had been arrested, the only surprise Tam had was that Orville's weird adopted kid was the one to deliver the news. Aria asked Tam for room and board; Tam remembered Orville's intervention in her life and one-upped the teen, offering to let her stay as long as she needed. She didn't like kids much, but Orville bailed her butt out of the fire once. She could do the same for his kid, doggone it. Her job as a bouncer isn't the classiest or most luxurious in the world, but she gets by. Even if she doesn't one hundred percent know what to do with the "little tyke" she's gotten surprisingly fond of.

    Personality: Brash/Suspicious/Protective/Confident/Stubborn/Reliable.
    Generally, Tam is a pretty enjoyable person to be around. Despite being a little tactless, she’s usually good for a laugh, and tries not to take herself - or pretty much anything - too seriously. However, if someone pushes her boundaries or gets too touchy-feely, she gets very grouchy very fast. Getting close to people is a bit of a scary prospect for her, as she feels like loss or betrayal are inevitable. But if she makes the self-professed ‘mistake’ of forming a solid friendship, she gets surprisingly clingy and ferociously protective.

    Tam’s word is her bond - if she says she’ll get something done, it gets done, end of discussion. This can sometimes work against her, as she is a very stubborn person, and she’s been known to refuse to give up or ask for help even on occasions where doing so would have spared her pain and gotten the job done more quickly and efficiently. She tends to be a bit rash, under the impression that she can handle anything. She’s usually right, but when she’s not, things usually get very ugly very quickly.

    Alignment (If any): Technically unaffiliated, but casting longing looks at Demon's Run. Let her LOOSE.

    Other: Tam is gonna be really fun to handle on a PXR RP because most incarnations of Tam average about 1 swear every two sentences. Also worth noting: Tam can't make any noises a very big jaguar wouldn't be able to when she's fully shifted. Cats don't talk.



    Name: Aria Leland, AKA Squall.

    Gender: Female.

    Age: 17.

    Power (If any): Aria's Foramis exposure has given her a broad range of abilities, allowing her to manipulate wind as well as calling upon its attributes. She can summon wind to throw at opponents; while tiring, this includes wind so compressed that it can deliver cuts. She can also apply changes to air pressure to temporarily disorient opponents, or better redirect sound or light towards her. She can also, for lack of a better term, 'borrow' the speed of the wind, granting her short bursts of super-speed. TL;DR, aerokinetic with a broad spectrum of not-very-strong abilities to choose from.

    Appearance: With an unremarkable 5'6" height, fairly flat body, and not overly attractive face (her nose is too pointy, she complains, and her eyes are so big she looks goofy, and her face is too long), Aria is pretty much a textbook gangly teen girl whose body hasn't quiiite gotten the memo that it's time to be a grown-up now. Being a Foram has modified her appearance somewhat - her skin is very pale and her short hair is pure white; between that and her blue eyes, most people mistake her for an albinistic person (which isn't wholly unfounded - the poor kid gets sunburnt ridiculously easily, though she's mercifully escaped most other health problems associated with a near-absence of pigmentation). Aria dresses as nicely as she can; she doesn't have an abundance of fancy clothes, but she makes do and her usual look can be described as "casually fashionable". She keeps a cord necklace hidden under her shirt most of the time; on the end of it is a faux-glass delta pendant, one of the few mementos she's managed to salvage from home. Here's a picture!

    History: "Home" is a fluid term for Aria Leland. Her birth mother, despite being "immunized" against Foramis exposure, was a healer, able to treat a plethora of injuries and illnesses with a touch and a bit of effort. This is pretty much all Aria knows about her birth parents besides vague memories and impressions. When she was four years old, her parents were killed in a car wreck, her mother dead before she could even attempt to heal her father's grievous wounds.

    From there, Aria's life went from fine to bad to worse. Her wallflower attitude made it difficult for her to find proper parents to adopt her, and years' worth of bouncing from foster home to foster home only continued to impress upon her the importance of silence and not making a fuss. What's more, as a potential Foram, she faced cautious scrutiny from many foster parents, even from other children. She was treated as a ticking time-bomb, which didn't lessen the surprise and pain when Aria's hair changed from brown to white within the course of a week and her complexion transformed to that of a sheet ghost. The ability to control wind and water was a paltry exchange from the redoubled ostracization she faced.

    It was at this time, when Aria was eleven years old, when Orville Leland walked into Aria's life. The cheerful, chubby black man couldn't have looked any more different from the recalcitrant, pale, twiggish young woman, but with surprising speed Aria found herself trusting her new father. It helped that they had their powers to bond over - Orville was himself a Foram, able to alter the flow of time. What's more, he was an activist; one of the more prominent members of a group known as the Foramic Rights Coalition. While fighting against the US government's harsh anti-Foram policies often felt like a lost cause, he still did his best to make a difference. This was a huge inspiration to Aria, who had previously been forcibly submerged in the opinion that Foramis were unilaterally bad.

    The next five years were the best of Aria's life, but it didn't last. After the FRC's rallies began getting out of hand, with incidents of public power displays and even attacks on police, the government cracked down hard on the group. One particularly nasty incident ended with FRC members and counterprotesters getting violent - and when Orville used his powers to intervene, he was arrested as one of the aggressors. Aria, rather than letting herself be taken back into the foster system, sought out one of Orville's associates. Tam Jojo wouldn't have been Orville's first choice to take care of his daughter in his absence, but Aria wasn't spoiled for choice. While Aria was initially skittish around Tam, she's come to view the woman as something like a cool older sister. She still goes to school, as well as working a bit so that she can pay her keep. The Demon's Run group has attracted her attention. Maybe revolution is the way to make a change.

    Personality: Reserved/Kindhearted/Emotional/Nervous/Stubborn/Hard-Working.
    For the most part, Aria is a quiet person. She tends to be a wallflower most of the time, and when she does talk to people who she doesn't know well, she's polite but withdrawn, sticking to small talk and revealing little to no details about herself. When she's with people she's more comfortable with, she's not exactly open, but she tends to hide and conceal a lot less, revealing that she is in fact a very emotional young woman driven by strongly-held beliefs, passions, and convictions. In fact, these convictions tend to be set in stone. Once Aria establishes a belief, she almost never turns away from it, and she tends to get defensive if these ideals are challenged. In all of her tasks, she does the best she can; she doesn't have a lot of self-confidence, but one thing she does take pride in is a job well-done.

    One major thing that drives Aria is kindness - she truly wants the best for most people, though she doesn't mind taking questionable approaches or tactics in order to accomplish a greater good. In interpersonal relationships, she tries to be nurturing; in the community, she tries to be a good influence. This is sometimes made difficult by her own reticence, as she is made easily nervous by strange people and situations. She's doing her best, y'all.

    Alignment (If any): N/A, but she wouldn't hesitate to join the Demon's Run if asked and she may or may not be seriously considering a stint as a vigilante to hone her skills.

    Other: If you've ever read Codex Alera, yes, Aria is literally a windcrafter, though her superheroic incarnation was originally designed for a setting about powers based on Pokemon. She started off as a Wingull.

    Also, Orville Leland's time powers aren't exactly anything to worry about. He can speed up/slow down time in ranges of space. The more time he's moving, the less space he can affect; he wouldn't be able to age someone to death or anything that drastic.

    Gender: Female

    Age: 18

    Power (If any): Arden can project herself into animals. She can see through their eyes, and understand their thoughts. This ability is draining and she eventually gets kicked back out into her own body. While she is projecting, her human body is as if asleep, making it vulnerable. Projecting into smaller animals is less draining and she can remain in them for longer. After years of training, the largest animal Arden can project into comfortably and remain that way for at least a couple of hours is a cat. When inside an animal, she can control their movements to some extent though it becomes difficult if she tries to fight their natural instincts. When inside an animal, Arden can also not venture too far from her body. The furthest she has got is a couple hundred metres before she is snapped back into her own body. Once as a young teenager, Arden accidentally projected herself into a human child, saving him from running out onto a busy road. It was an extremely strange and unpleasant experience and she has never tried to project into a human again.

    Appearance: Arden is of slight build and what her father describes as 'willowy'. While she looks weak, she is quite fit due to her love of running. She has chin-length, dark red hair, green eyes and freckles. Her favourite outfit is leggings, shin-high brown boots, a knitted scarf and an oversized grey hoodie.

    Arden's pet bird Rafferty is an American Kestrel, small for his species, he fits in the palms of her hands. He likes to snuggle down into her hood when travelling.

    History: Arden grew up on a farm on the west coast of the USA. Arden found Rafferty as an abandoned chick on the farm as a child. One day close after her 13th birthday she was watching Raff fly and wishing she could be up there with him. For a brief moment she looked down and could see herself on the ground. When she realised what had happened, she trained hard with Raff, learning to enter his mind at will. Raff doesn't mind Arden's presence but has developed resistance to being controlled by her and has been known to peck at her body angrily when she tries. She never told her parents what she could do as she was scared for their safety if someone found out.

    When she was 15, Arden's parents sent her to live with her aunt in Manhattan to go to a fancy school in New York to get a 'proper education'. They had saved all their lives for this and Arden didn't want to let them down. She had to fight to take Rafferty with her as her parents thought it would be a poor life for a bird, but Raff adjusted well and often accompanied Arden by hanging out in the schoolyard. When classes got particularly boring, Arden would project into Raff and he would fly her around the block. When some of the kids at school started noticing the oddly close bond Arden had with Rafferty, she stopped bringing him to school. Luckily her aunt's place was close enough to the school that she could still project into Raff whenever she wanted.

    Arden recently graduated high school and is taking a year off, working part-time at a bookshop to save money for college. The owner of the store likes her a lot and treats Raff as a kind of mascot. As the Foram trouble has become more widespread, she is worried about being uncovered and has been lying low, not wanting to reveal her powers.

    Personality: Arden is cautious by nature, having hid her Foram power from her parents since age 13. To others she is outwardly friendly but does not give away much of herself. Her friends from high school have all left for college, so she has become a bit of a loner and spends most of her spare time reading books or taking day trips with Raff to get out of the city. Arden is outwardly calm and composed, though she can be very competitive. When she lets her guard down, she can be extremely loyal. She is a bit of a worrier and likes to plan everything in advance.

    Darn it Sarah, now I need to come up with a whole new character! :P

    Come to think of it, @Desolate Divine are duplicate powers allowed, or do we all need to have unique powers?

    By the by, I imagine that some alternate history is in place, so I'm going to ask this explicitly - is it okay if my characters have ties to a Foram-rights group that was inspired by the American Civil Rights Movement (especially, no joke with Tam intended, the Black Panthers)? Given your timeline, the movement would've been gaining momentum right around the time that the first Foram were discovered. I've got no intent to make this story about civil rights or anything (it's not even close to my place, and it should have no direct impact the RP or my characters); I'm just curious how references to real-world events, people, and movements slot into this RP.

    And if you're worried about this group making too big of a plot splash, no need (though I'd be happy to scale them up if you think there's interesting potential) - they're going to have already been pretty hamstrung before the RP's start, and they were never up in people's faces the way the Vigilantes or the Demon's Run are. Sociopolitical all the way.

    That sounds fine but I have no knowledge of US history. Do you have discord? If so, could you please add me and give me a quick rundown of the events you mentioned?
