He sat down on a leather chair as he explained what he really wanted "Before we start its important for you to know a few things. I am aware of exactly where your friends are at. I could have the Rockets storm Morty's hideout and even his little amusement voider wouldn't be able to protect them from my reach. However, I am a god who likes to play the long con. That's why I had the Rockets take only you. You more than all of your other friends are more likely to do exactly what I say. From this point on you will work for me and you will do what is best for my mission. Is that clear?"

Brandon nodded and said "Y..Yes... B.But... P...Please D...dont a..a..ask m.me t..t..turn on mm..my f.f..friends or P....Pokemon". Brandon was still stuttering as he spoke and he was trying to be careful of his wording so as not to tick off the evil god.

Giratina paused for a moment. His intense purple eyes flickered different colors.

"Now that's the real catch isnt it?" He sighed reaching over to press a button on the desk.

The doors at the far end of the room opened up Skipper and Marshtomp were lead into the room by 2 grunts. Each of them had dawned a metal brace around there necks.

" For the sake of bluntness. I know what you wouldn't betray your friends. I also know you wouldn't work for me willingly for me. I choose you because unlike your friends you have a weakness that makes you easier to manipulate. So let me rephrase the question from before. Would you work for me if it meant harming your friends for my gain with your pokemons soul lying in the balance?" He smiled

Giratina sighed and said "Now that's the real catch isnt it?" He then pressed a button on the desk and the doors opened. Skipper and Swampert were escorted into the room by 2 grunts, metal braces dawned their necks.

Brandon's fear immediately turned into pure anger as Giratina continued to explain how he would take his pokemon's souls if he didn't cooperate. Brandon's face got as red as a tomato as he screamed out "I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU HARM THEM I WILL...." he trailed off as he struggled to come up with anything he could possibly do to Giratina. Brandon took a few deep breaths to try and calm down before he said (face still flushed with anger) "Do not harm them... they are innocent Pokemon who do nothing besides protect me. Do what you want to me, but let my Pokemon go!"

After a few more seconds he finished out with a short rant saying "I will do whatever it is you want... but I must ask why you are doing this to me and my friends. You KNOW we had nothing to do with that tower falling so why are you doing this to us? What do you want?"

Brandon's outburst was to be expected. The momentary flash of rage amused the lord of the underworld. With a sinister grin that stretched from cheek to cheek, he leaned forward on the desk closer to Brandon.

" Because inside you Brandon there is a firey rage that burns. There is a spark of darkness that brings me joy. Unlike your friends you are willing to harm others." Giratina smiled

His hand moved forward slowly opening to reveal Brandon's knife.

" What you did to those grunts was pure hate and rage and it told me one thing above all others. You are vengeful and the kind of person that will do anything to anyone for his pokemons' sake. In a way we are alike. We are very much misunderstood. I want to bring purity to the world too. I want to shape the world in my image so that no more hate or violence spreads. I would do anything to make this a reality."

Giratina leaned back in his chair.

" Now then, lets talk business shall we? I'm going to be very blunt here. I need access to your world and I can't do that on my own. Any attempt I have made has simply failed. The steps I put in motion to find a perfect host failed when the rocket grunts mistook which pyschic I wanted... That fool Giovanni was supposed to take Rose and not Max. I underestimated Max's latent psychic ability and how his energy would attract them. You see influencing humans isn't always easy when you are trapped in another dimension. I had to use lessor means." He growled


The shadows began to swirl and a sinister laugh echoed through the room.


" Lessor means? Such a playful term for a creature trapt in a snow globe." Darkrai snickered


" I did exactly what you told me to do, lord. I freed the soul of the Kantos most powerful psychic. It is not my fault that Dreddful creature can't be controlled. There were other factors at play beyond you or I....Something else had plans for him. Then you had me to do the same process in this world and you picked and even stronger subject and now you have it locked in testing tube."

Darkrai stepped closer to Brandon

" Ah Brandon." He said with a smile

" I have seen your delicious nightmares boy. I know what scares you most and I understand now why the lord has called me."

Darkrai turned towards Brandons pokemon.
" You want these two to join our cause, my lord?"

Giratina shook his head.
" In a moment here I will let you know. Until then be silent fool."


" It is time now Brandon, for you to do your part."

Giratina pulled a yellow gem.

Giratina actually smiled at Brandon's angry rage. He began to explain why he chose him for this 'mission' and began to try to say he and Brandon were alike, which is preposterous!

Giratina then began to explain how the rockets made a mistaken when they grabbed Max. He explained how he had underestimated Max's psychic ability and how influencing humans was not easy and he had to use lesser means. At that point another figure with white hair and a dark robe appeared and talked to Giratina about how he had done what he asked but that Dredd was too uncontrollable. He then went over to Brandon and said to him with a creepy smile on his face "Ah Brandon. I have seen your delicious nightmares boy. I know what scares you most and I understand now why the lord has called me."

Brandon found this creepy as he stared up at the figure, but he remained silent, doing everything he could to avoid being afraid. He had to stay strong, he couldn't show anymore fear if he and his Pokemon were to get out of this alive. The figure looked at Brandon's Pokemon next and said "You want these two to join our cause, my lord?" Brandon was about to scream out again, but before he could Giratina said " In a moment here I will let you know. Until then be silent fool." The figure then stood there in silence.

Giratina looked back at Brandon and said "It is time now Brandon, for you to do your part." After he said this, he pulled out a yellow gem, then continued "You must take this. He held the stone out to Brandon as he said "But you must choose to take this first. Knowing what you now you must realize that if you do not accept neither you nor your pokemon will leave this room."

Brandon put on the bravest face he could as he took the gem and said "You and I are nothing alike Giratina.... I do what I have to do to protect those I care about, you on the other hand, your just pure evil! Now I will do what you ask, but I will need my Pokemon returned to me unharmed. I will not leave here without them, so if your not going to return them to me, then your just going to have to kill me. I would rather die then leave my Pokemon here to suffer with you!"

Brandon realized quickly what he just said, and he hoped Giratina wouldn't kill him, but he also meant what he said, he would not leave his Pokemon no matter what. Brandon continued to stand there bravely, doing his best to fight off the fear that continued to try and overtake him.

Brandon put on the bravest face he could as he took the gem and said "You and I are nothing alike Giratina... I do what I have to do to protect those I care about, you, on the other hand, your just pure evil! Now I will do what you ask, but I will need my Pokemon returned to me unharmed. I will not leave here without them, so if you are not going to return them to me, then your just going to have to kill me. I would rather die than leave my Pokemon here to suffer with you!"

The stone lit up in Brandon's hand. Without warning the orb started to glow and burn into his hand he tried to fight it but he was forced t watch in horror as the Orb slowly melted into his hand and vanish into. As he lay there screaming in pain he looked up to notice the other dark figure laughing.

" Now then Darkrai." Giratina order

Out of Darkrai's arms shadowy worms crawled out and went into the Charizard and Swampert. The two pokemon dropped to the ground in pain for a moment before slowly getting up.

" Now my dear boy." Giratina said standing up.

" Our deal is set in stone or to be more accurate in flesh. Once you fulfill your end of the bargain your pokemon will be cured. Not a moment sooner. When you and your friends are back in your world I will contact you. With instructions." He laughed

" Now its time for the next phase to begin." Giratina motioned towards the guards to remove his pokemon. After they were gone the guards returned to get Brandon.

" Await my message." He said to Brandon turning to the guards

"Take him back to his cell."

Giratina just smiled at Brandon and said "You speak as if you are the one in control." Then after a moment he continued "I promise you that if you do what you agreed to, you and your pokemon will be safe. But until then."

At this moment the stone lit up in Brandon's hand, then began to burn into his hand. Brandon howled in pain, trying with all his might to drop the stone. but for some reason his hand would not listen to him. He dropped to the floor in pain as he watched the orb slowly melt into his hand. The pain was almost unbearable, Brandon came within seconds of passing out.

Just before he was about to pass out, however, he heard the other figure laugh. He looked up at the figure as Giratina said "Now then Darkrai". Then to Brandon's complete horror he watched as words crawled out of Darkrai's arms and went into Skipper and Swampert. Both Pokemon dropped to the ground in pain.

Brandon jumped to his feet, despite still being in immense pain, and shouted out "NNNNOOOOO! YOU LET THEM GO! DO IT TO ME INSTEAD!" As Skipper and Swampert got back on their feet weakly, Brandon said to them "Don't worry guys I won't let them take you and hurt you! I promise!"

He glared at Giratina angrily as the evil god stood up and said "Now my dear boy. Our deal is set in stone or to be more accurate in flesh. Once you fulfill your end of the bargain your pokemon will be cured. Not a moment sooner. When you and your friends are back in your world I will contact you. With instructions." The evil god laughed as he finished the last sentence. At this point the evil god, still laughing said "Now its time for the next phase to begin." He motioned for the guards to remove his Pokemon.

After removing his Pokemon, the guards returned for him. Giratina told Brandon to await his message and ordered the guards to take Brandon back to his cell. As the guards grabbed him and began to hual him away, he shouted back at Giratina "I SWEAR.... IF MY POKEMON DIE, MARK MY WORDS... I WILL FIND A WAY TO KILL YOU... EVEN IF IT KILLS ME! YOUR ARE EVIL... EVIL I TELL YOU!"

As Rose began to panic, Kyo moved to her side with Meg. She waited for Meg to say her piece then said her own words of comfort. "Rose, don't worry. You may be powerful, but power does not instantly corrupt people. It is the lust for more power than corrupts them... and exposure evil jewels occasionally. But my point is, like Meg said, we're here for you, and if we think something will corrupt you well... we'll figure out another way. We will protect you. Got it?" She offered a comforting smile to Rose in hopes it would bring her friend some ease.

Having seen an evil Rose in that alternate timeline, Kyo was hellbent on ensuring that never happened to this Rose. It had been a frightening and horrifying sight, the thing of nightmares. It was hard to believe that was Rose. But she'd prevent that from happening. This Rose would never become that Rose if Kyo could help it.

Sloane waited in silence as the two girls comforted Rose. She didn't have the heart to tell them at the moment that there may not be another solution to waking up Max. She didn't want to frighten Rose any further, so for now she would allow them this false hope, if only to bring them some comfort. Sloane turned her attention to Morty and nodded her head in understanding. "I see, good then. Focus your efforts on rescuing the boy. I will lead the group towards the hospital and we shall regroup later. Just send one of your ghosts to me if something comes up."

Sloane looked back at the group and said, "If you are ready, then I suggest we depart quickly before too many more White Rockets are stationed in the city. And pray to Lugia your disguises work the entire way out of the town." She turned, giving a slight bow to Morty and Darci, before leading them outside into the city again. Kyo looked back at the other girls before following after her, wanting to move towards this hospital as quickly as possible.

Rose was comforted by Meghan and Kyo's words. Just knowing that her friends were there for her made her feel better. She was a bit unsure of what Kyo meant about evil jewels, but didn't feel like now was the time to question it. They had a mission to complete, and the sooner they left the better.

"Thank you both." Rose said, returning Kyo's smile. The others all believed in her, so she had to try to believe in herself too. If all she did was doubt herself, then she'd never succeed. As Sloane headed outside, Rose followed cautiously. She tried her best not to look too suspicious, but couldn't help being a bit nervous.
