I'll repeat something I said years ago: Why is it that so many artists confuse "realistic" for "ugly as f**ing sin"?
I mean, seriously, THIS THING IS SUPPOSED TO BE A JIGGLYPUFF:
Not only does it look nothing like a Jigglypuff, this is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen in my life.

Let's just be grateful that the Detective Pikachu movie had the sense to actually emulate the designs as closely as possible to the cartoon while still looking somewhat like "real" animals.

I hate all of these. This isn't art, this is just a raw bastardization of Pokémon and whatever deranged person behind these needs to have their tablet, computer, and internet confiscated.

WHAAAAAAAT HOW IS THAT EVEN CLOSE AAAHHHH!!! I AGREE. Like why does realistic mean horrifying, and why does it also mean animals? It can be its own species and just look like it has actual scales or hairs or whatever. It doesn't HAVE to default to a real-world animal. Or a nightmare in this thing's case...

Mind you, I really hate the Detective Pikachu ones too. And I found out that the head artist...is this guy.
