Sweet. Makes sense. Ah man, you make me wanna do a nuzlocke again!

The only reason I'm in such a nuzlocke mood is because I just recently finished a Y egglocke. I plan to go back and finish my Ultra Sun too but I need to hatch my shiny mawile first and that hunt is NOT going well.

It went fairly well! I only had two loses (a litleo and an ónix). My final team was sceptile, empileon, blaziken, salamence, lapras, and absol.

Alright so I went on a trip yesterday and played my game pretty much the whole way down and some of the way back. Here's our list of updates:

• The Mysterious egg hatched into a Togepi that was nicknamed Ferdinand.
• Got everyone to level 10 and traversed Union Cave.
• Got the TM for Swift and taught it to Ferdinand.
• Caught a Spearow on Route 33 (?) on the other side of Union Cave. Nicknamed her Gloria.
• Expelled Team Rocket from the Slowpoke Well.
• Took on the gym. Blake took out the Kakuna and Metapod. Aliyah handled the Scyther.
• Aliyah evolved into Pidgeotto.
• Battle the rival and won with ease.
• Found the Farfetch'd and got the HM for cut. Had to retrieve my actual starter from the PC in order to use it.
• Got through the Ilex Forest and made it to the daycare.
• Put Gloria as well as my actual starter in the daycare.
• Got the bike, gave Ferdinand a haircut, and battled the trainers in the Underground.
• Taught Ferdinand headbutt. Taught Elijah Thunder Punch and Ice Punch.

Currently trying to grind these guys up a bit because my distinct lack of a counter to Miltank is going to be fun. I'm going to try and get everyone to level 20 or higher to see if I can come up with an effective counter to her. Right now my only real plan is to spam Flash, Sand-Attack, and Mud-slap to lower Miltank's accuracy enough that rollout doesn't do too much damage in one go. I also realized I forgot to get the Old Rod from the center on the other side of Union Cave, so rather than backtracking to get it, I'll just wait until I beat Whitney to go back for it. I think Magikarp is the only pokemon I can catch with it in this nuzlocke anyway so I may just not go back for it in general. We'll see.

Also keep an eye on the first post. I'll be updating the team there soon as well as adding the PC mons as I get them. The first post might also get updated in between actual posted updates too.

Who is your actual starter? I guess you picked Totodile to force your rival to have Chikorita and make him easier to battle with your Flying types?

Actually yes I did! But it was moreso because out of the three starters, Totodile is the only one that can learn more than two HM moves. Chikorita can only learn flash and cut, Cyndaquil can only learn cut, while Totodile can learn cut, surf, strength, and whirlpool. So I was thinking more long term as to what I might need if I can't catch like a Mantine or something.

Yay no deaths yet! Look at Elijah with that great moveset! Too bad they have terrible stats! D: Man, I forgot all about good old Whitney's miltank. That is gonna be fun. And by fun I mean terrifying. XD

Yeah Elijah's stats are uh... oof. But it'll provide some good coverage especially since he evolved during my grinding this morning post the update.

Currently my strategy might be to rely on Ferdinand. He's the only one without a type disadvantage against the Miltank and he tends to be a big of a wall when it comes to taking hits. Plus with Metronome it gives for some potentially harder hitting moves than headbutt and swift. And charm will also kinda lessen the damage a bit.

Ooh yeah charm will do wonders! God I love metronome. xD Such a good move. I kind of want to do a metronome run... XD Though it's kind of limited.
