May Makes Her Debut in the Pokémon Masters Roster!

Check out the latest update to Pokémon Masters!

As the New Years event draws to a close, several new events have started up in Pokémon Masters. From the next Legendary arena to a newly added Sync Pair, there’s lots to cover in this update! So let’s get started!
    Team Hoenn Unite

To commemorate the newest addition to the game, the solo event “Team Hoenn Unite” is now live! This event has you battle against a variety of trainers to earn Event Vouchers to exchange for a variety of items and runs until January 28th 2021. Running alongside this, two Spotlight Scouts have been added as well. The first is a Spotlight Scout that adds the Sync Pair of May and Mudkip to the game. Though don’t fret if you can’t succeeded in getting her during this event, as May will be permanently added to the Scouting pool following this scout. There is also another Spotlight Scout boosting the chances of getting Wally, Lisia, and Phoebe, all three being rare and illusive Hoenn trainers. So be sure to get your hands on them while you have the chance!
    May & Mudkip

May and Mudkip are a 5 star Tech pair with a focal water type moveset and a weakness to grass types. Like Brendan, May is able to fully evolve her partner Pokémon from Mudkip to Swampert, but for the sake of consistency in this article will primarily refer to the partner as Mudkip. Mudkip has access to three passive skills: Raging Rain 3, Racing Rain 2, and Dizzying Power. Raging Rain 3 powers up moves when the weather is rainy, Racing Rain 2 quickly charges the move gauge when the weather is rainy, and Dizzying Power increases the power of moves the more the target’s accuracy is lowered. Mudkip also has access to three theme skills: Water Tech, Hoenn, and Main Character. Water Tech raises allies’s Attack and Sp. Atk by 12 when using Water-type attacks and raises the maximum HP of all allied sync pairs by 12, Hoenn raises allies’s Attack and Sp. Atk by 1 and raises the maximum HP of all allied sync pairs by 1, and Main Character raises allies’s Attack and Sp. Atk by 1 and raises the maximum HP of all allied sync pairs by 1.
Mudkip also gets access to three Pokémon moves and one Trainer move. Mudkip can learn Water Gun, Earth Power, and Rain Dance. Rain Dance is an especially useful move since it activates two of Mudkip’s passive skills. May also provides support through the Trainer move “Ready for this?” which charges the user’s move gauge by two and raises the user’s Sp. Atk and critical-hit rate. Once Mudkip is full evolved into Swampert, it unlocks the Sync Move “Best Buddy Muddy Water” which causes Swampert to mega evolve.
May also has the ability to become an EX sync pair, which unlocks a new skin. Interestingly, not only does this skin match that of Mudkip’s color scheme, it also appears to be a nod to Pokémon Special. In the manga series, the character of Sapphire wears a blue colored outfit not unlike that we see in the EX skin. Coincidence or intentional, it’s a pretty neat tribute to find in this game.
    Electric & Steel Egg Event

The Electric and Steel-type Egg Event allows for players to get eggs of various Electric and Steel-type Pokémon to make Sync Pairs. You can get the Sync Pairs of Main Character & Pichu, Elekid, Magnemite & Voltorb with Shiny varaints of Pichu & Elekid being available.
Legendary Arena Entei & Battle Villa

The Legendary Arena Entei event has now begun a renewed run. This run runs until January 28th at 06:00 UTC. If you already received the items for completion a previous time, you will not receive them again. This stage allows you to go against the one Pokémon but it has multiple HP gauges and allows for you to use multiple Sync Pairs, this time with a limit of 30. Rewards are given based on how much damage is dealt to it.
In addition, the Battle Villa has made a return, running until January 21st.
    Skyla 6 Star EX Rally

The Skyla 6 Star EX Rally provides a variety of items through Missions for you to get Skyla to 6 Star EX including 3 Star Power-Ups, 4 Star Power-Ups and 5 Star Power-Ups. This is available until January 20th 2020.
    Gem Login Bonus

A new Special Login Bonus has begun in Pokémon Masters EX. If you log in for 10 days during its run, you’ll get a total of 40 Skip Tickets and 500 Gems. This is available until January 20th 2020.
    Upcoming Changes and Event

In addition to everything else currently going on, there’s also a lot to expect for the future as well! First there will be a Blissful Bonanza event running on January 21st alongside the addition of the Sync Pair Mallow & Tsareena. Then, theV alentine’s Day Story Event begins on January 29th and features Serena & Whimsicott as a Sync Pair as well as one other Seasonal Sync Pair that has yet to be revealed.
Egg Events will be altered. They will no longer require Stamina for completion but will then no longer offer any rewards other than the Eggs. This begins with the Fighting, Grass and Rock-type Egg Event that begins February 4th.
Two new legendary events will be coming soon. The first is a rerun of Lurking Shadow starting on on February 8th, giving another chance to get Giovanni & Mewtwo. The other is a new legendary event that will run on February 11th which gets you the ability to get Sync Pairs of Xerneas and Yveltal, with one being available in the event and the other in a scout. It is not know at this time who the legendaries will pair with.
6 Star EX Skyla and Korrina will be added soon. A new Poké Fair Scout style will debut soon with one with “unprecedented capabilities” with different offering rates from normal Poké Fair Scouts. Sync Grids will be updated allowing you select multiple options, have a preset feature and you’ll be able to use Co-Op Sync Orbs without converting them.
As the game reaches its second year anniversary, there will be more Sync Pairs available by playing the game. The current story will conclude and a new story will start. In addition, Dynamax is set to make its debut in game as well around that same time.
So with so much to do and even more to look forward to, why not pick up your phone and become a Pokémon Master!

I tried this game once but it was too big to fit on my phone with all the updates. xD it's a shame cos it looks pretty fun.
