[SU/DS] Spiritwater – Tides of Witchcraft

    INTRO

This is a sequel to the S.S. Wishmaker: Tides of Witchcraft RP, but you are totally welcome to join in on this if you’re new and weren’t part of the first RP (although I can assure you it’s a very good read). New characters are totally welcome and don’t worry if there are references to the first RP. It’s totally understandable some characters may be out of the loop with what happened in it and the below summary will help you get up to speed with the most important details.

BACKGROUND AND RECAP FROM S.S. WISHMAKER RP

It’s been four years since the maiden voyage of the S.S. Wishmaker cruise ship and the first Pokémon High Seasons Tournament, the first full Pokémon tournament to take place on a ship. The tournament had started on the cruise ship with high expectations for the world-renown Diamond Ladies, Cassandra Silvers, Jarena Farrell, and Violet Radcliffe. They were expected to continue their long-running championship reign with Cassandra taking home the victory. However, an investigation into their unusual winning streak, spearheaded by Jon Drake and his wife Alyssa, supported by Jimmy Kendo and Avery Miller, revealed the Ladies had been utilizing Shadowcraft, an almost-forgotten witchcraft that the Diamond Ladies had used to cheat and gain an unfair advantage in battle the entire time their championship-dominating reign had gone on for.

After being pursued by undercover operatives and several mishaps resulting in the three Ladies being turned into Pokémon, their deceit had been found out and their dark secrets were revealed. After surrendering, Cassandra and the other two Ladies had confessed to their wrongdoing and vowed to cooperate with the League by refraining to perform additional witchcraft spells to cheat. To keep the integrity of the tournament intact, Cassandra had continued to participate under close scrutiny while coming clean with the following Pokémon battles, even when the general public was not aware of the Ladies using witchcraft before. Under normal circumstances, she just barely managed to win against Avery in the semifinals, but in the final match, she had lost against Jon Drake himself. With the allegations confirmed, it was the end of the Diamond Ladies and their Pokémon battling careers.

During the course of the investigation, however, there had been other developments. Former Champion Lance had attempted to murder Jarena and Violet and frame Jon for the attack, but was stopped and neutralized by Jon just moments before his attempted strike. However, though Jon had tried to keep public knowledge of Shadowcraft concealed to dissuade anyone from learning and practicing it, several of Lance’s compatriots, including an enigmatic entity named “Karma,” had leaked the discovery of the Ladies’ witchcraft to the media, and with it came a heavy price as it was revealed openly to the public. As a result, the public perception of the Ladies had completely deteriorated into negativity as their once-glamorous publicity took a nosedive. The situation had gotten so bad that to escape the harassment, death threats, and public disparagement, Cassandra, Jarena, and Violet had faked their own deaths and fled into the wilderness as Pokémon, intending to never return back to human civilization…

It’s been four years since that maiden voyage of the S.S. Wishmaker. Since then, three additional Pokémon High Seas Tournaments have taken place on the cruise ship with the tournament occurring on an annual basis. And while these tournaments have generally gone smoothly, the first one and its controversies surrounding the Diamond Ladies became an urban legend, especially with the presence of Shadowcraft being revealed and conspiracy theories surrounding the Diamond Ladies.

    That was until now…

After the conclusion of the 4th annual Pokémon High Seas Tournament, the S.S. Wishmaker had stopped off at Akala Island for a three-day stay at Heahea City before it would head back to Slateport City, Hoenn to conclude the cruise. Known for being a popular vacation and resort island in Alola, Akala was selected as a new way to conclude the cruise with some time for fun and relaxation after the conclusion of the tournament before everyone headed home.

At the same time, the annual Spiritwater Festival would be in full swing and the League felt the trainers and guests on the ship would enjoy the festivities after an intense and tough tournament. As in the past, Spiritwater was known throughout Alolan culture as when the nights are the longest. Certain customs like candles, lights, and fireworks to light up the night as well as dressing up in costume to ward away mischievous spirits and their black magic trace back to the old days. Certain food items like candy and spirit cake, made with honey, caramel, and brown sugar, also make an appearance. Overall, it is intended to be a fun, light-hearted festival and many Alolan natives and businesses get in on the festivities to the delight of Alola natives and tourists alike.

And for a long time, the folklore behind the festival was merely enjoyed casually and not taken too seriously. Most of the locals of Alola didn’t truly believe in the spirits described in the old stories and felt it was just a fun festival that was good for local business and tourism. Spiritwater traditions are typically treated casually and the placement of “spirit precautions” is a very lax practice mainly done for fun and wasn’t quite performed as the folklore prescribed…

…and it ended up being a very big mistake…

Ever since Agatha had been pressured to retire due to her age and the Elite Four had been reformed to consist of Will, Koga, Bruno, and Karen as the new Champion of the Indigo League with Lance’s detainment, Agatha was left spending her final days of life wasting away and had been promptly forgotten about ever since her retirement. She had moved to a small cottage in Heahea City on Akala Island, back in her homeland, and yet despite once being a prominent member of the Elite Four in the Indigo League, she was a nobody in Alola now.

She was also disgusted about how the old tradition of the Spiritwater Festival had been turned into what she felt was a bastardized and commercialized new version that was a mockery to the traditions and practices of old. But instead of tolerating it, she saw an opportunity to leverage it and take advantage of the public ignorance and foolishness.

Agatha herself, unknown to anyone else, was a highly experienced Shadowcraft witch in addition to being highly seasoned in her specialty of using ghost Pokémon. At first, she thought she was the only one left in the world that still practiced Shadowcraft in secret and at first thought the dark art would die with her. However, she had heard about the S.S. Wishmaker incident and how the Diamond Ladies were banned from the League and under public protest after it was discovered they used Shadowcraft to gain an advantage. But instead of condemning the Ladies like most people did, Agatha gave the Ladies credit, giving dark admiration for the way the three of them teamed up and used the witchcraft together to dominate many tournaments and subtly support their Pokémon. In a way, she felt the Ladies deserved their fame for their prowess in Shadowcraft and clever use of it as a loophole around standard League rules. However, she had seen how the general public, ignorant in its ways, had destroyed not only their careers, but ruined their lives as well, with everyone suspecting they were killed when it was found a cabin they were renting for a wilderness trip had been destroyed by an arsonist. Between this incident and what had become of the Spiritwater Festival, Agatha had felt it was beyond unacceptable and decided to do something about it.

Before the S.S. Wishmaker had arrived, Agatha had used her Shadowcraft to reach out to all and any Shadowcraft witches that lay in hiding in the world, beckoning them to join her in Akala where she would lay out her plans to all those that were willing to come and strengthen them in their dark studies of Shadowcraft. To keep it secret, her message came in the form of a mystic dream, undetected by anyone else except those who had knowledge of Shadowcraft and its dark mysticism.

No one knows exactly how many witches came to assist Agatha and learn from her, but in the days that followed, something very dark had transpired. Unknown to what was happening in the shadows, the S.S. Wishmaker had arrived on Akala with its guests ready to take part in the Spiritwater Festival with their various costumes and spending money… just 12 hours before Agatha and her new followers had incited a new darkness upon the island…

However, another voice once residing in the forgotten shadows had stepped out of hiding and revealed Agatha’s dark secrets and nefarious plans to Jon Drake and the League, serving as an informant against the dark witch Agatha herself. Having heard Agatha’s shadowy rallying cry to Akala, the Diamond Ladies had “come back from the dead” to bear the warning and help the League’s counter-operation to shut down whatever insidious plan Agatha had intended, lending their own Shadowcraft powers to undermine her vile intentions and protect the League’s operatives.

Thankfully, the message had been acted upon just in time, and the League was able to quickly gather their operatives into action and attempt to prepare and position their hidden operatives for whatever darkness Agatha has prepared. But right now, the League can only hope what they have assembled is enough…

    CURRENT SITUATION

Wild ghost Pokémon now flock around Akala, unleashing mischief and ruckus on the locals, knocking over objects, pulling on hair, spooking Pokémon and their trainers half to death, creating disturbances in the night, and other forms of disruptive paranormal activity that has left everyone on edge. Even those trying to leave the island find new dark ocean currents pushing their boats back to the island shore. Trying to fly away from the island results running into shadowy wind currents instead, sending them back to the island. As a result, arriving on the island is easy. But now trying to leave it seems to be impossible and those on Akala realize they’ve been entrapped...

In the meantime, Agatha and her unknown number of witches are at work, and their true motives are a mystery with the formation of this new Shadowcraft Society that seeks to empower itself. As before when the Diamond Ladies used this forbidden witchcraft, spells and hexes could inflict feelings of vertigo, sleepiness, sickness, amnesia, or even turn their victims into bewildered Pokémon themselves. Similar incidents have been occurring now in Akala, and now the locals and tourists are learning there was actually legitimacy in the Spiritwater rituals and practices of long ago. However, so many decades of peace and quiet and lack of actual need to remember the precise rituals have now left the locals digging and scrambling through the records of older times to figure out what needs to be done to truly drive back the ghost Pokémon and make it less of a silly costume party.

Though Agatha and her followers had attempted to remain as an anonymous and enigmatic threat, the Diamond Ladies have revealed their presence and the Shadowcraft that is bringing Agatha’s new dark alliance together. Now, like with the first S.S. Wishmaker incident, the League has sent highly experienced, undercover operatives disguising themselves as locals, tourists, party-goers, and employees to conduct a closer investigation, prioritizing those that had some involvement with the first S.S. Wishmaker investigation incident and have some experience dealing with Shadowcraft witches. The objective is to get to the root of the problem and figure out where Agatha and her followers are on Akala Island and how to put an end to their Shadowcraft practices that are now creeping around the island and inciting fear and anxiety. The precise details are still ambiguous and Agatha’s true motives are still unknown, but as time goes on, things continue to become more worrisome as the days seemingly grow daker.

    NOTES AND MAPS

You can visit and use any of the locations on Akala Island (and you’re free to make up sub-locations in any of these places even if they don’t technically exist in the Su/Mo games). Alongside the S.S. Wishmaker cruise ship, the S.S. Anne also happens to be docked at Heihei City in time for the festival, and your character can board either ship. But both of them are stuck at Heihei City until something is done about the current problem.

As with the first RP, your character may be subject to hexes, spells, and transformations as they go up against Agatha and her enigmatic alliances of witches. And while the Diamond Ladies (controlled by me) have the power to undo the afflictions, the resources and spell reagents to do so are in limited supply.

    RULES

    • The usual PXR rules and Role Play rules apply. You knew that!
    • Be kind, be gentle, and please be respectful. We’re all friends here. :3
    • Content is meant to be PG-13, no over the top blood and guts. Heck, I don’t even think anyone will die in this RP either. But you may not come out the same way you came in…
    • Try to refrain from sexual themes, vulgar language (a few mild obscenities are ok), and other not-nice stuff like racism. Use of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco is okay.
    • No crazy god-modding with your character or their Pokémon. Just note that I can be loose on those rules with what the three Diamond Ladies have and can do to you and your Pokémon. But if you come up with a very clever ruse or strategy to use against them, I’ll let you have your way, too. ;)
    • Please don’t bunny (control) other people’s characters unless you have their permission. That just means don’t have them do something the person controlling them didn’t have them do.
    • Please use a header at the each of your posts that has your character’s name (handy if you’re making multiple characters) and their location on the ship (there’s also a potential of the RP going into Castelia City depending on how things go).

May amend these slightly but the jist of it is there. Rushed a little to get them done before class.

    Jon
    Spoiler:

    Name: Jon Drake
    Age: 32
    Gender: Male
    Role: Operative (Squad Commander)
    Appearance:
Physical:Standing at 5ft 11, Jon is a well built individual weighing in at about 80 kilograms. His naturally blonde hair is dyed dark brown, as his wife and daughter are used to seeing it that way, though he isn’t as stressed any more about keeping his identity hidden. The beanie he used to wear stills makes an appearance every so often, though usually his short to medium length brown hair is uncovered.

Having spent most of his adult life wearing contacts, Jon finds glasses to be irritating, however tends to keep a pair on him for when he has his lenses removed. If Jon were to remove his shirt, the first thing one would notice are the scars scattered across his torso and his upper arms, though he isn’t as self conscious about it anymore.

    Attire:
His standard attire tends to be a mix of looks and comfort. Whilst he hates baggy jeans, he tends to wear ones loose enough that he can run in, or even defend himself in, unhindered. However due to the different climate he has a few pairs of shorts packed. Due to the risk of media attention, being the winner of the first High Seas Tournament appearing on the S.S. Wishmaker again, he has made a point of wearing more button up shirts, though occasionally it is unbuttoned over a white or black tee. His usual footwear consists of white socks and some black Converses, though some sandals have been packed just in case.
Costume (Optional): Whilst the idea of costumes seemed silly to Jon, he understood the need to blend in, however wanted make sure the costume he used was practical for a mission. With Alyssa’s help, Jon made a costume reminiscent of a shiny Rayquaza, being a black body suit with Rayquaza themed worbla plates covering most exposed sections of his body. What one does not realize at a glance is that hidden beneath each of these worbla plates is a piece of sheet metal, which whilst it wouldn’t stop a bullet, would probably stop a knife, or more likely, Jon hopes a hex placed on his costume from taking effect on him, though the Ladies haven’t had time to help him confirm this hypothesis. On his head is a similarly designed, sheet metal base, worbla covered helmet, reminiscent of Rayquaza’s head.
Personality: Jon tends to confuse people at first because he seems to mix an overly serious nature with not taking things seriously enough. The truth is that Jon places a great deal of stress on self discipline and responsibility, and tends to not take it well when people seem like they aren’t taking those things seriously. Outside of that, he tends to be a somewhat easygoing person, though has no qualms about using his fists to solve problems if he thinks that is the most effective solution. He has an incredibly protective personality, particularly with his wife Alyssa, and their three year old daughter, Amelia, though this tends to transfer to his Eon Academy students.
    History:
    See Pre-Wishmaker History here

Aboard the S.S. Wishmaker, Jon was one of the people, alongside his Latios partner who helped to catch the Diamond Ladies. He was there as a competitor, however moonlighted as an operative, and when he found himself with the Diamond Ladies at his mercy, ready for him to detain, was shown by Latios, a pokemon with a supernatural sense of empathy, how low and broken they were at that time. At Latios’ request, Jon talked to them, and offered to help them pick up the pieces and get their lives back on track if they decided to turn themselves in, and whilst they declined at first, making a break for it, after an encounter with other operatives whom they had turned into Pokemon, they took Jon up on his offer.

The idea Jon had was for him to take the fall for the supernatural events, using a Zoroark and their ability to create illusions to sell the coverup that Jon had used Zoroark to create illusions to blackmail the ladies, specifically Cassandra, into throwing the tournament. This allowed for the supernatural things the public saw to be dismissed, and for the public to continue to believe there was no such thing as witchcraft, meaning that the chance of copycats was low. Steven and Cynthia were for the idea, Lance however was not, wanting to see the Ladies punished and made an example of, for the sake of fixing his shattered ego.

Lance attempted to kill the Ladies and frame Jon for the crime, though Jon managed to stop him, however Lance wasn’t acting alone, with accomplices leaking the truth to the media, putting an even bigger target on the Diamond Ladies back, causing them to decide to come clean. Jon ended up facing Cassandra in the final match, winning the first High Seas Tournament.

Whilst Jon won the tournament, his reputation still took a hit due to the measures he took to prepare the public for seeing him as the villain of the cover up story, as well as for his support of the Diamond Ladies and calls for them to be treated better than they were.

With the prize money from the tournament, Jon and Alyssa wanted to buy a house together, however the one they had been looking at had sold. However, for sale in Mossdeep City was a property containing an old, unused monastery. Jon and Alyssa ended up buying the property, living in the caretakers house, and turning the monastery and grounds into The Eon Academy, Jon’s own trainer school, where during the school year they would run basic classes and have school groups come in, whilst the summer contained a twelve week intensive for the more experienced trainers wanting to take their battling to the next level.

After their supposed death, Jon had been in contact with the Diamond Ladies only once, after sending Latios to find Cassandra, having been requested by Steven to perform an off the books mission, and knowing he needed help. The mission entailed capturing Rayquaza, as it had made itself a target of the military who had made it their mission to eliminate it. However after Jon said goodbye to Cassandra after that mission, he didn’t see her again for a bit over another three years.

A year after the S.S. Wishmaker incident, Jon ran the first Eon Academy Summer Program, where five students spent the summer living on the property, learning to improve their battling from Jon, two of them being Abbee and Dylan.

By the time Jon heard from the Diamond Ladies again, it had been three and a half years since he had last seen Cassandra, and was shocked to find three Pokemon knocking on his door.

The Ladies quickly explained the situation to Jon, though he felt like he was too recognizable and well known after the S.S. Wishmaker incident to be much help practically. He contacted the League with the information regardless, accepting a role as a Squad Commander, before offering Dylan Squire (an ex Eon Academy Student who now lived and worked there) and his close friend and ex Eon Academy Student, Abbee Strauss who was visiting at the time the opportunity to join his squad, spending the next few weeks attempting to train them to the best of his ability, and calling in favours from Christopher Kingswood, Charlotte Jones and Justin Collins to run the Summer Intensive whilst he was absent.
Pokémon Team: Latios, Blaziken, Nidoking, Scizor, Absol and Jolteon. Also possesses an illegal, unregistered Pokeball containing Rayquaza, however Rayquaza will only make an appearance if Jon feels like that is the only way forward, as being caught with Rayquaza in that Pokeball would make him an enemy of the state, and have him thrown in jail.
Other:Husband to Alyssa (34), father to Amelia (3) and temporary Guardian to Dylan (20).

    Abbee
    Spoiler:

    Name: Abbee Strauss
    Age: 18
    Gender: Female
    Role: Operative- Jon’s Squad
    Appearance:
Physical: Abbee stands at 5ft 4, with a slender figure, long jet black hair and green eyes. Her slightly pale skin is clear, and her demeanour tends to be approachable and friendly.
Attire: Abbee packed for the mission bringing a mixture of standard civilian clothes to blend in (beachwear, sundresses, summer attire), in addition to clothes that suited being on the job, that she could move freely in. (OOC: this bit I struggle with because I tend to have the characters clothing be pretty day by day, unlike the anime where they wear the exact same clothes every day…)
    Costume (Optional):
Personality: Abbee tends to be cheerful and bubbly to almost everyone she meets, which to some, can be grating. She tends to make friends without the other party necessarily wanting to be friends, and tends to try and look past wrongdoings and give people the benefit of the doubt, only really losing composure when the circumstances are weighing down on her.

Jon has had to make a point of telling her that the witches they will be trying to find aren’t like the Diamond Ladies. He was lucky that the ones he took a chance on were the sort to actually try and make amends, and has warned her to not be trusting of anybody they come across during the mission.

Abbee’s strength is her ability to think outside the box, and creatively come up with solutions to problems placed before her that may not have been considered before.
    History:
Abbee grew up in Ecruteak City Johto, as the daughter of the battling legend, Richard Strauss. She doesn’t remember a great deal of her early life, only knowing her dad retired whilst she was still young. She was six when her mother passed away from a terminal illness, though she doesn’t remember much of her life before that.

Growing up, her dad was her biggest mentor and supporter. When she wanted to become a trainer, her dad was the one who taught her everything he knew about battling, and whilst Abbee wasn’t too fond of competing, she enjoyed battling her dad, and getting stronger. She wasn’t sure what it meant for her long term, whether she would go on to compete like he did or whether her calling was elsewhere.

When Abbee was fifteen she came across word of the Eon Academy, a school run by Jon Drake, a trainer who had taken the media by storm by winning the first High Seas Tournament, but also splitting battling fans down the middle with his reputation. Richard however was a supporter of Jon, liking the attitude towards battling he brought to it, and feeling like he didn’t have much more he could teach her, supported Abbee about spending the summer there, hoping she could find there what he couldn’t give her. Abbee on the other hand, went there hoping to figure out what the future held for her, and she did.

During the summer, Richard was killed in a shock car accident. Abbee left the Eon Academy in order to spend time with her older brother, and plan and attend the funeral. It was there she realized that the reason her Richard retired from battling was to be with her when her mother passed away, and that he probably would have loved to have spent the rest of his life competing if he could.

Hearing this, Abbee felt driven to compete like her father, feeling like he put his own legacy on hold to be with her, and now she wanted to continue it.

Abbee returned for the end of the summer program, where she came across Victini, whom she clicked well with, before going to live with her older brother. She spent the next three years finishing school, returning to the Eon Academy each summer, with this summer now visiting as a guest tutor, being too old to attend now, however shocked to hear Jon’s request of joining him on a mission...
Pokémon Team: Typhlosion, Ampharos, Ariados, Glaceon, Politoed, Victini
Other: During the week the Diamond Ladies spent at the Eon Academy, Abbee wanted to become accustomed to being a pokemon, knowing the risk was there she would be turned. Wanting to turn this risk into a benefit, she acquired DNA samples of a few Pokemon, having Cassandra turn her into them so she could learn to use their abilities, becoming somewhat proficient in a Decidueye form, and planning to spend a bit of time in that form during the mission.

    Dylan
    Spoiler:

    Name: Dylan Squire
    Age: 20
    Gender: Male
    Role: Operative- Jon’s Squad
    Appearance:
Physical: Dylan is a tall young man, standing at 6ft 1, with a somewhat muscular physique. He has shaggy medium length brown hair with brown eyes and a lightly freckled face.
Attire: Dylan’s standard attire tends to be somewhat reminiscent of the 90s grunge sort of era, with faded and torn jeans, a band tshirt and possibly a flannel top, though given the beach environment, he is likely to trade that for shorts and a singlet.
Costume (Optional): At Abbee’s suggestion (and pressure), Dylan is wearing a Bewear costume, like the maskot ones...
Personality: Dylan tends to be very quiet and reserved. Jon, Alyssa and Abbee are the only ones he really feels comfortable around, however he can start and maintain a conversation with his Ex Eon Academy classmates.

Dylan is a quiet observer, tending to notice the little details people miss in their day to day rush, and has a solid instinct for caring for and raising Pokemon, understanding their needs with little experience.

Dylan’s greatest weakness is that when pressure does become too much, he is likely to freeze and shut down, though the threshold for that is high enough that Jon thinks he can handle this mission.
History: Dylan never knew his dad growing up. He wasn’t in the picture when he was born, and whenever he would ask his mum, she wouldn’t answer the question. When Dylan was eight, his mum got married, however when Dylan was twelve he woke up one morning to be told by his stepdad that she had gone. Left the both of them.

Dylan stayed with his stepdad, who as time went on, started to drink more and more, resenting Dylan’s mum for walking out on both of them, and leaving him to look after her kid, and eventually growing to take that out on Dylan.

Dylan’s solution to this was to try and not be at home, and when he was old enough to start working a part time job, he began doing that, taking all the shifts he could get, saving money so that he could spend summers on camp, away from home.

When Dylan was seventeen, he ended up attending the Eon Academy, though was the odd one out, as he had the least experience being a battler.

Towards the end of the camp, it was Dylan’s eighteenth birthday, and his stepdad had invited him to spend the weekend at home to have a celebration, sending him the message through Jon.

Not wanting to tip off what home life was like and raise suspicion, he went, when really this birthday celebration was his stepdad spending the weekend plastered, complaining about Dylan’s mum, and how she and Dylan ruined his life, with the only thing Dylan being useful for was the benefits he received for keeping him around.

They ended up in a fight, and Dylan returned to the Eon Academy after the weekend, when Abbee noticed a bruise on his neck. Keeping an eye out, she started to notice other marks and scars before telling Jon who alerted the police, who charged Dylan’s stepdad, and placed orders preventing contact.

With Dylan now 18, and not fitting into the foster care system, Jon ended up inviting him to stay at the Eon Academy, working there as an intern of sorts, and trying to provide the family that neither of them had growing up.

Dylan spent the next three years spending months at a time with Jon, helping him run the Eon Academy, and doing some travelling when he could. A few months before The Diamond Ladies appeared at the Eon Academy, Dylan was in Canalave City, where he helped deal with a situation where a child wouldn’t wake up from what seemed like a never ending nightmare...

Pokémon Team: Sceptile, Walrein, Metagross, Flygon, Dusknoir and Darkrai

    Name: Ruford McDonough
    Age: 32
    Gender: Male
    Role: Operative
    Appearance:
Physical: Ruford McDonough is a string bean of a man, thin as a rail, with long legs and lanky arms. He's got brown, curly hair – hair that refuses to straighten no matter what he tries – and yes, he's used every hair product in the world, including that new one that's only supposed to be used on Furfrou that left his scalp burning for weeks. It can at least be cut, and he keeps it as a bush on his head, making sure it never grows past his ears – he has dread nightmares deep in the night of his hair reaching down to his ankles, furry and monstrous, a Legendary Pokemon in of itself.

Aside from that, Ruford is a relatively plain fellow. Perhaps due to his job, perhaps due to the fact that he runs more often than fights, but he's got quite the runner's physique, able to run long distances without stopping to rest or to meet the pining men and women no doubt chasing after his godly form.
    (Note: No one likes Ruford.)

Attire: Ruford heard 'business casual,' and those two words burned into his heart as a permanent fixture of his identity. He wears dress pants and a nice shirt, the colors of which change depending on the day and his mood. He wears a tie or a bowtie, depending on how fancy he wants to go, though that effect is ruined by the wilder patterns he puts on them. His coat, though, is always the same – a blue overcoat that he always, somehow, finds a replacement for when it's destroyed.

Costume (Optional): Ruford, in spirit of the holiday, is wearing a Lickilicky costume. He can't see very well in it, and something about the mascot suit is unsettling and makes children cry.

Personality: Ruford McDonough is a strange man, to say the least. A coward in some points, who loves his wordplay, likes the good-natured pranks, tolerates authority, and generally prefers to live life by his own beat. He often jokes that he's Arceus's gift to men and women, though both he and his would-be lovers know this is rather far from the truth. He's amicable enough, though sometimes his antics can be grating. Nonetheless, he tries his hardest to be as friendly and well-meaning as possible, though the slip-ups and crude jokes he makes sometimes turns people off. That said, Ruford is also a competent battler and strategist, known for his unorthodox method of battling. He can also be scary when he battles, as his primary goal is to overpower his opponent by any means possible.

History: Ruford McDonough was born in Dewford Town in the Hoenn Region. Not much to say about that, save that if you love surfing and macho Pokemon, Dewford's the way to go. If you don't, tough luck. So Ruford left and struck out on his own at the good old age of ten years old, Yanma and Torchic in tow. He started his League journey collecting each of Hoenn's gym badges, left Hoenn for a couple of years to train in other regions, before returning and going through a series of League runs as one of the star contenders. Ruford, despite his lackadaisical nature, was a dangerous battler, ruthless in taking any advantage he could in a battle, almost becoming Champion multiple times.

Of course, the career of a professional Trainer can only go for so long, and Ruford, after his thirteenth loss in the quarter finals, decided to pull a Ketchum and leave. Only, instead of going to another region to catch another lot of Pokemon and abandon them at Oak's, Ruford decided to retire. He spent two years in retirement, before one day the League came to him with the offer of becoming an agent, working with them in investigation works. Ruford at first refused, until he realized that joining them basically meant a blank check to vacation in other regions and do a bit of detective work on the side. A win-win, in this case.

So that's what Ruford's been doing these last five years or so, hopping from region to region, doing the League's dirty work while enjoying martinis, exciting battles against criminals, and generally having a good time. All of the fun battles, none of the stress associated with being at the top.

Ruford was already in Alola by the time he received the job in Akala, investigating his own conspiracy connecting the recent Ultra Wormholes and the latest fast food chain's sudden popularity. He was unceremoniously taken off that job – which broke his heart – and put on Akala.

    Pokémon Team:

Flyboy – Yanmega, Ruford's first Pokemon that he obtained as a gift from an uncle in Johto. He's also the ace of Ruford's team, possessing several powerful moves. Ruford's go-to.

Sanders – A Blaziken and Ruford's first Pokemon after Flyboy, which he obtained when he first set out on his journey.

Jim – A Kecleon that Ruford caught during his travels in Hoenn. Has a thousand-yard stare, and not even Ruford's really sure if Jim actually has a brain or not. Likes eating drywall.

Maisy – Ruford's Floette, which has yet to evolve and chooses not to. The first Pokemon that Ruford caught outside of his original journey in Hoenn. Of note is that Ruford keeps a special flower for Maisy to use in particularly special battles, one that gives her quite the boost in power.

Ice Johnson – Arctozolt, taken after a particularly nasty raid in Galar involving the illegal experimentation on fossil Pokemon, Ice Johnson is named after Ruford's favorite basketball player, Ace Johnson.

Kartana (Legendary, I hope this is okay, if not I can change) – Part of Ruford's assignment in Alola, Kartana is the most recent of his captures, an Ultra Beast that he caught and was allowed to keep in order to further research the phenomenon.

    Jimmy Kendo:

    Spoiler:
    Age: 29
    Gender: Male
    Role: Operative
    Appearance:
    Physical:
Jimmy has since gotten more in shape. After the events of the last few years. Jimmy has been able to work out a bit more. Plus, having his ability to become a Pikachu thanks to his Jirachi giving him a thunderstone pendent that can turn him between Pikachu form and back to human. He gets a little more exercise in now. Jimmy's hair is just as spiky as before, if not spikier. His hair is now a bright yellow to match his Pikachu.

Attire: Jimmy did have to let the League know about his power now. He was given the okay to continue using the pendent Jirachi gave him, but was warned that he needs to know the repercussions should he get caught. As no Pokémon is safe from that. Jimmy then had the tech team to make him a new costume. His very own Sygna Suit. This is to match both Pikachu and Jirachi. While mostly black and small stripes of blue. It has yellow stripes and white spots on them across the suit. One side has lightning bolts and the other side having stars. Each one represents how Pikachu and Jirachi have both led their team on missions. he pretty much wears this all the time. As when it's not active. It looks like average clothes. A lengthy dark blue shirt and black jeans. When needed, he has a darker jacket.

Costume: Thanks to Jirachi, Jimmy has the, to quote Jirachi. "The most perfect costume ever to be seen!" A long kimono like costume with very wide arms to give the same look and appearance as Jirachi. In fact, all colors and styles were exactly the same. One could easily mistake him for a giant walking Jirachi.

Personality: Jimmy has had a slight mix over the years. Changing between one and another. He was once a bit cocky, but now he understands not everyone needs to get what they want. Jirachi helped him to understand this well enough. Thanks to both Pikachu and Jirachi. Jimmy has changed in what he sees for the better. Though he still does what he can to help ensure a friend or someone in needs gets a little extra help.

History: The mission on the Wishmaker was a life changing mission. Ever since it's helped Jimmy to get promotions to high class League member status. In fact, he's gone on more higher clearances missions. Which never existed or never happened. He's had to sign many of NDA's now. He's worked closely with some of the Champions personally. Ever now and then he still heard the familiar names of Jon and Avery.

Two years after the incident on the Wishmaker. Pikachu was continuing to help train Jimmy in his Pikachu form. They were doing their spar matches while on a little vacation. They do these spars to help keep in shape and in practice. Jimmy not having been born a Pokémon still had a hard time getting moves down and matching that with necessary speed, but it was getting better. Pikachu knocked Jimmy a little too hard with an iron tail. It sent Jimmy into a tree branch which hit him a little too hard in the head. He fell down after that and rolled down a hill. Which ended up leading off a cliff. Luckily he fell onto some passing Altaria. Fluffy enough to break his fall gently enough. Jimmy was kicked out cold.

Upon waking up. He noticed he was on the ground. His head was killing him. He didn't know where he was or what had happened. He couldn't even remember who he was. He had amnesia from the hard hit. He just looked himself over and saw some pendant hanging around his neck. The Altaria looked to him with worry. Asking him, Pikachu, if he was okay. He thanked them for saving him and wandered around as a Pikachu for days. Days turned to weeks as he lived his life as a Pikachu. Hoping maybe one day someone would know who he was. Until one day he did.

One day, Jimmy had found a group of Pokémon who mentioned having very special healing powers. He begged them to show him where they were. It took some time to gain their approval, but Jimmy showed he meant no harm to them or the Pokémon they would lead him to. He was welcomed into the Starglade. Where he again had to spend a few weeks to gain the trust of other Pokémon there. Some just didn't seem to like him. Even more so the fact that he couldn't remember anything.

One day, the Pokémon in question. A Furrett, Bunery, and Eevee has heard about this mysterious Pokémon. Wanting to see them for themselves. To their surprise. The recognized him. It was the Diamon Ladies. Cassandra, Jarena, and Violet. Although Jimmy didn't recognize them. They recognized him. They took the time to help use their knowledge and improved shadowcraft to help Jimmy gain his memories back. He was thrilled to finally be back to his normal self. He caught up with the ladies and spent some time there for a few more days before needing to leave as to not worry Pikachu or his team anymore. After leaving. He said his goodbyes to the ladies and the very gracious Pokémon that helped watch over him while he lived there as a Pikachu for weeks. He called to Jirachi. Jirachi appeared along with Pikachu. They waved and made their way back home. Though, now knowing more about the Diamon Ladies and what's become of them. They now know they're more connected again.

    Pokemon Team:

Pikachu- leader of his Pokémon team with Jimmy. No additional details or accessories. Sometimes a little over eager. Jirachi learned from Rotom Pikachu is a prime target for pranks and becomes a little funny when annoyed.

Jirachi- Jirachi over the years, while still young for his species, has become very enigmatic. Like he holds secrets to the world we don't know yet. Perhaps secrets the world itself doesn't even know. Speaking of things no one can seem to comprehend sometimes. Jirachi has learned to fit in with others and not so giving as he once was. Still likes to make friends with anyone that it can. Overall, very impish and playful at heart. "Yay! Hahaha" -Jirachi

Rotom- Rotom is still very silly in both actions and humor. He's working to become the first Pokémon comedian. Or so he's told Jimmy. Whether it be through some TV, a computer monitor, or a washing machine. Even a lawn mower could work. So long as he's able to communicate with humans. He's practiced more with Jimmy and they are able to quickly hack through most security systems now. Mostly thanks to some advanced training with Cyber Security and the tech groups through the League.

Grovyle- Grovyle has noticed over time that training had changed. He became a little more lax in nature. Likes peace more than anything lately. He still trains just as hard just to show his worth. Out of the team. He's still the best and fastest when it comes to stealth and getting something when needed before someone else.

Salamance- Salamance is the intimidation to the team. Ready to put on his size and scary face to match the opponent. With his flight, speed, and absolute to now mega evolve (thanks to Jimmy's advancements). It's helped Salamance to really gain his efforts in the team. Able to go beyond his limits.

Sylveon- Sylveon is a new addition to the team. After the events of the Wishmaker. Jimmy decided to get an Eevee to train up. She was adorable when she was young. Always trying to put on a show for Jimmy and the other Pokémon. She however, wanted to be an Umbreon like her dad. Jimmy gave her the okay and they worked hard to have her evolve at night like they wanted, but she somehow ended up evolving into a Sylveon to everyone's shock. She wasn't very disappointed very long as she seemed to still love it! She does see an Umbreon at times and it gets her down, but she's enjoying the hand life has dealt her and still loves being a part of Team Kendo.

    Alisaie (in progress)

    Spoiler:

    Age: 32
    Gender: Female
    Role: Civilian
    Appearance:
    Physical:
She has long straight hair. Usually tied behind her head unless she was using her hair to help gather attention. Which she doesn't often use. Very fit for a woman of her age and very agile and flexible (much like characters such as Black Widow and Black Cat). Her hair has since been dyed from their family's color of a bright yellow. To lighter shade of purple. She's been known to make quick getaways without a hassle.

Attire:If she isn't in her bikini while in "vacation." She's on a mission. Wearing her typical clothing. A suit of her own design fit to her body for make for any need. A suit of slender design. Darker black design mixed with traces of white and burnt orange colors. Can glow when needed. Black gloves with a Pokeball mechanical design. Each glove can hold 3 Pokeballs inside. With the push of a button. The one she needs slides out and can come to her call. A backup failsafe is also designed so that if her suit mechanics had a bug or someone has disabled her system. She needs only to pop a finger back (not break. Much like someone cracks their fingers. A simple "pop". Like putting a finger down and pressing your thumb against it). The suit is full body. From top to bottom. It does not cover the head. She has her own mask for that. Covers the upper portion of her face and eyes. The mouth and jaw is not covered.

Costume (optional): Alisaie had always been fond of keeping with the crowds. Blending in as to not draw attention unless she wanted it. While at the costume party she wears a shiny Weavile costume.

Personality:Hey personality is about the same as her brother's. Except for the fact she is not an operative. She doesn't see that kind of justice either. She's always seen the opportunity to take things into her own hands and acted on that. Though she does help people, its in her own way.

History:Alisaie is first and foremost, a thief. Though she doesn't do it for her own gains. She's always done it to help others. Though she's never been caught and her identify isn't known by anyone except her family. They don't always know where she is. Ever since she had started out on her own and she wanted something from a store. She tried to steal it. She was lucky to have gotten a slap on the wrist and let go. After she had left a Pokemon appeared to her with it. This was where she met Hoopa. Together they formed a team and together began a life of stealing things. At first it was for their own gains. Until she saw how wrong it was. She began to take on this life and continue it to help the poor and those in need. Though the law and media always see her ways as evil, wrong, and criminal. She only does what she can to help others, her family, and to keep living life as the gift Hoopa gives her this chance.

Alisaie is smart. She mostly creates her own gear herself. Every now and then the scientist she ran into within the black markets helps to create more specific gear she isn't specialized in. Weapons, IDs, Passports, tools, whatever she may need. It helps that this specific dealer, who she only labels as "Chuck" (which isn't his real name). He's never in the same location for more than a day. So it's not easy to keep in contact. She knows how to look for the clues though.

Alisaie still knows Jimmy works as an Operative. He doesn't talk about her much. Though he still doesn't like that she has taken on this life and wishes she would use this skill of hers as an Operative. He's even offered her a position at times as he now has that ability since advancing after the events of the S.S. Wishmaker. Each time she has turned him down. Not really explaining why she continues this life to steal the things she does.

    Pokemon Team:

Hoopa - The ever helpful Pokemon. He wants to see others have fun. Whatever it's enjoying what they do or just having some fun pranks on others in a safe way. A little scare at times, though through his training with Alisaie he's learned not to just up and do that publicly without being told to by her. Using Hoopa's rings. Alisaie has easy access to any place she could want during a heist. Easy ins and easy outs. Though Hoopa doesn't always get right in to places. Security is really tight and can't always get her direct access to the rooms.

Purrloin - Like a cat burgler to have a cat Pokemon on her. She's sly and has her own personality. It likes to sit at her side while they relax, but it loves to play with family or friends of Alisaie's. It does like to swipe food from others when it's hungry. Purrloin loves reconnaissance on heists. It's loves to be the eyes and ears on missions to watch for any trouble.

Emolga - This little Emolga loves her freedom. Though a little prankster. She will use her flight for quick getaways. Though she's very caring for Alisaie and Hoopa especially. This Emolga has been trained by Alisaie for scouting and able to knock out electronic signals in a short distance. Camera's that may be too high this Emolga loves to take care of on heists.

Haunter - Haunter is the ghost to get her into places she can't reach. Being a ghost type he can phase through walls for getting them access to areas that they would have to be more careful around. When needed. He helps put the enemies that may have caught them into a hypnosis. Helping them to escape while he stays hidden

Hitmonchan - For cases where she needs strength. Alisaie always heard "punch your way out."
So when she ran into a Hitmonchan someone just abandoned because he listen to orders to throw it's boxing matches. It loved winning and being the best at punching. Always being more unpredictable than his opponents. She decided to take him and and use him on the team. He hasn't got his time to shine much, but he's always been at the ready.

    Its done!
    Spoiler:
    Name: Ozona Reverie

    Age: 23

    Gender: Female

    Role: Civilian

    Appearance:
Physical: Ozona is known for being fairly thin in terms of her physical looks. Her skin is pale and almost "chalk white" while her eyes are more of a crimson-ish shade of anything, but those are just contacts. She's changed her hair up since the previous incident of the S.S Wishmaker, having trimmed it to shoulder length and dyed it a sleek electric blue.

Attire: Despite not seeming all too obvious, Ozona has grown out of her usual clothing and has more mature styles then last time. She has a vibrant purple hoodie with a small face sketched on the front, and her trousers are now just pink shorts with a few patches on them. She keeps her trainers though, although they have a more vibrant, tye-dye patterning to them.

Costume (Optional): Due to her new strengths and bonds, Ozona has a costume to help remember her Altaria, who she released shortly before the tournament. It consists of a blue balloon dress with small tassels down the back of it to represent the tails, a large white feather boa which wraps tightly but comfortably around her neck, as well as a simple blue headband with tassels similar to the ones on her dress.

Personality: Ozona is known for being quiet yet very easy to lash out. The time gap between the Wishmaker incident and now has made her more focused and serious with what she does, although she would still go to extreme lengths to protect her team even if she would get injured in the process. Ozona also has a talent for accidentally making her moves hold the energy and passion of a Contest, although she's stated that she doesn't like them all too much and would much rather stick to battles.

History: Prior to the Wishmaker incident, Ozona lived a peaceful yet slightly boring life in Driftveil City, gaining thrill from watching battles in the Pokemon World Tournament. She caught her first partner at the age of 11, being a Minccino who had wandered into the city. After a few years she built up a team and challenged the Pokemon World Tournament herself, gaining a strong reputation from it and being invited to the prestigious high-seas tournament.
Fast forward to after this happened. After returning to Driftveil, Ozona's family was highly considering a brief vacation in Johto. Ozona herself was very open to the idea, curious about the cultures of the bustling region. Once they arrived there, their vacation city of Olivine seemed a bit shady but they didn't question it. Somehow Ozona got roped into a shadier, private tournament called the Lacrosse Cup which took place in a underground arena below the Lighthouse. Most of the Pokemon there were clearly buffed up with vitamin drinks, but Ozona still prevailed in her victory and actually set a few of these tournament goers straight while she did it. The mix of her elite skills and pure heart actually ended up attracting the legendary beast of water, Suicune. Going along with its orders, Ozona eventually added the elusive beast to her team with its consent.
The vacation drew to a close with some kind of annual culture for Olivine, being releasing a Flying type Pokemon to go and breed in the wild, so with the pure heart that she had, Ozona released her Altaria in hopes it had a better life in the wild. She then proceeded to stay in Driftveil with her family until news of this next tournament caught her attention.

    Pokémon Team:
    Oreo the Cincinno
(The loyal Pokemon that started Ozona's journey. She sees herself as the pinnacle of elegance, although she's more clumsy then she'd like to admit. She also has a neat galaxy patterned shawl that she always wears.)

    Butterscotch the Ampharos
(Being one of her two new additions to try team besides from Snowdrop, Butterscotch doesn't really know what to make of himself. He was a rental Pokemon from the Lacrosse Cup so he wasn't treated too nicely, hence the bandage on his right forearm, so he always puts a lot of effort into his actions.

    Raspberry the Lopunny
(Still being the shiny athletic bundle of fluff that she is, Raspberry is notorious for being a speedy fighter who adores utilising confusing moves like Attract or Dizzy Punch. Her ears seem to be fluffier then a normal Lopunny's and she's just happy to be with anyone.)

    Crumble the Haxorus
(Known as the peacemaker of the team, Crumble is fairly aloof and motherlike when she needs to be. She's mostly defensive when it comes to her battle style, liking to get opponents away from her as soon as possible, being a fan of a combo of Outrage and Dragon Tail.)

    Caramel the Espeon
(While Oreo sees herself as elegant, Caramel just sees himself as an outright prince compared to the rest of his team. He assumes his boots are to show off his status, but in reality he just has very sensitive paws. So expect him to act very high class in public.)

    Snowdrop the Suicune
(After revealing themselves to Ozona because of her pure heart, Snowdrop had accepted an offer to join her team to help preserve healthy bonds with Pokemon and Trainers alike. They stay hidden most of the time, unless a situation is bad enough that they need to help.)

    Other: Not really. :)

    @Desolate Divine

Nice to see Dylan raised that Beldum to a fine Metagross. >:3 I knew he could do it! And it’s cool to see Victini with Abbee now. :3

Everything looks awesome, looking forward to seeing these three in action! I like the costumes, though, but I’m guessing Abbee isn’t wearing one?

Accepted, but if you want to give her one later, no worries, that’s just a fun side-thing anyway.

    @HorusMyDude

I laughed at the details you added for Ruford’s costume. XD

Personality-wise, he seems interesting and unique. Definitely curious to see how he plays this one out. And hey, the Kartana is fine, no worries there.

    Accepted!

    @SlickSlack

I love the nicknames you gave to Ozona’s Pokémon. I also like the way she has her costume as a homage to her Altaria. That’s good stuff. :3

    Accepted!

Still not 100% with Abbee. Torn between something Decidueye themed that had a double purpose or not because it could give away her chance at doing reckon. Will figure it out haha

    CASSANDRA SILVERS
    Spoiler:
    Name: Cassandra Silvers
    Age: 27
    Gender: Female
    Role: Operative
    Appearance: (Image Ref)
Physical: Standing 5’11”, Cassandra has long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a slim and charismatic figure. Before her fall from grace four years ago during the first Pokémon High Seas Tournament, she was most renown for her attractive appearance in addition to her ability to easily triumph over her adversaries. Now, she doesn’t flaunt it around, playing it as if she was never once a celebrity in the first place. She also isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and take a physical beating, whereas before the idea of something bruising her and damaging her appearance would have really bothered her.

Attire: Unlike her “pre-incident” days, she now wears mostly baggy blue jeans and graphic t-shirts with a black backpack, black sneakers, and a black cadet cap. Having been an Eevee for years in the Starglade sanctuary, she prefers loose-fitting clothing and doesn’t like to wear anything that feels too tight. Meanwhile, she doesn’t care for expensive clothing and jewelry like she once did. Most of what she wears now is cheap and easily replaceable.

Costume (Optional): Trying to stick with a theme that bonds Cassandra, Jarena, and Violet together without giving themselves away too obviously, they settled on going with butterfly Pokémon, as the theme bears no correlations to the kinds of Pokémon they used before and doesn’t give away their identities. Cassandra’s costume is based on a Butterfree. While not quite mascot in style and more like a onesie in format, the wings however are proportionally-sized, which looks impressive, but makes moving through doorways tricky.

Personality: Cassandra is cunning, smart, and level-headed, although at times, she can get emotional, and she was at her lowest during her fall from grace four years ago when it seemed like the entire world was against her and her two friends Jarena and Violet. But since then, she has shed her previous conceited and haughty nature and has become someone more selfless and empathic, although she knows how to have a good laugh every once in a while but also be a badass when she needs to be. And while the world still hasn’t forgiven the Diamond Ladies for what they did all those years, she has discovered the world thinks the Diamond Ladies are dead and are out of the picture. To her, that’s good enough, though she’s out to still try to do some good from the shadows while most others have started to forget about her and her two friends.

Having spent the last four years as an Eevee in hiding with her two friends Jarena and Violet, Cassandra has gained plenty of survivalist knowledge and skills at foraging, but at the cost of some hygiene. She’s gotten a bit used to doing human things again like wearing clothes, showering, and using electronic devices feels a bit odd to her, but she’s slowly getting back into it. Meanwhile, unlike before, she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty. Living as an Eevee in the wilderness with dirt everywhere and eating food off of the ground wasn’t the most sanitary of things to do, but it did get her to not care very much about cleanliness and etiquette. At the same time, walking upright on two legs still feels a tinge bit odd for her considering how long she was an Eevee for.

History: Cassandra was born to Victor Silvers and her mother Lauren Silvers in Goldenrod City, Johto. As a child, Cassandra was always out to try and outsmart others and gain influence and she relied on cunning tactics as a trainer instead of pure brawn. Meanwhile, she liked to battle her older brother Shawn quite often, as he liked to tease and taunt her that his team was above hers, although they were pretty evenly split in terms of win/loss records when it came down to Pokémon battles.

As a teen, Cassandra gained a fascination for mysticism and occult artifacts. Anything surrounding superstitions, tarot cards, and other supernatural paraphernalia caught her interest, though most of it she found was fake. Through a slumber party she was invited to, she made friends with Jarena Farrell and Violet Radcliffe, who also had some fascination with such things. But it wasn’t until Cassandra had discovered Shadowcraft that their lives had changed. Unlike previous occult memorabilia she had discovered and tossed away, Cassandra found Shadowcraft was truly authentic witchcraft that was not only genuine, but reliable despite its learning curve. With Jarena and Violet, they delved deeper into Shadowcraft’s secrets and then started using it. It started with using it on wild Pokémon to make them easier to capture by confusing them and bewildering them. And then they used it as a prank to win trainer battles. But as time went on, it was soon relied upon as they started to gain fame, fortune, and attention after using it to win tournaments. One of them would enter a tournament while the other two assisted from the grandstands, hexing their opponent’s Pokémon and assisting their own to help their friend achieve victory. They soon gained a high reputation and the three of them were known as the Diamond Ladies. Meanwhile, those that tried to discover their secrets were dealt with and discovered for themselves what the receiving end of Shadowcraft entails…

However, after winning almost every tournament and achieving Champion titles, the three of them had been invited to take part in the Pokémon High Seas Tournament. Unknown to them, a hidden investigation was performed to delve into their mysterious winning streak, and through many incidents and mishaps aboard the S.S. Wishmaker, their secrets of Shadowcraft were discovered, their reputations were destroyed, and they took a lifetime ban from the League, along with all of their prize winnings, titles, and reputation lost. However, Cassandra had decided to come clean, confess to her crimes, and attempt to cooperate with the League. Despite trying her best to make amends, her once loyal fans and the general public had loathed them once they learned the truth, forcing the three Ladies to take another path in life and become the three Pokémon they had been inadvertently turned into, with Cassandra becoming an Eevee. Their journeys into the wilderness had allowed them to find a hidden Pokémon sanctuary in northern Johto called Starfield, where she, Jarena, and Violet had become healers for the Pokémon that lived there. Had things continued normally, they would have spent the rest of their lives there as Pokémon.

After the first year, Cassandra had an encounter with Latios, who had approached her and informed her about a crisis involving Rayquaza and the military’s attempt to kill it. Knowing the consequences of that could involve serious damage to the world, Cassandra had agreed to go, embarking on a mission with Jon Drake once more to capture Rayquaza for its own good. Once the mission had been completed, Cassandra returned to Starglade and met up with Jarena and Violet once again, still feeling it might not be the last time she would see Jon…

A year later, Cassandra, Jarena, and Violet had encountered a familiar face they were never expecting to see again. Jimmy had found his way to Starglade, but not under the best of circumstances as he had been knocked out cold and lost his memories through amnesia. Through their experiences with healing some of the other Pokémon of Starglade, Cassandra and the other two Ladies were able to restore his memories and help the Pikachu get back on his feet again. After making a full recovery, he had been on his way, though he had promised to keep the truth about the Ladies a secret with most of the rest of the world believing they had perished in the cabin fire.

Two more years had passed before Cassandra, Jarena, and Violet had received the dark rallying call from Agatha to head to Akala Island in Alola to join their fellow Shadowcraft witches and grow stronger within this new dark alliance. Sensing something very dark was about to go down on the resort island, the three Ladies, after much discussion, had decided to temporarily leave the sanctuary, travel to Mossdeep as three Altaria, and warn Jon Drake and Champion Steven about what they had heard.

Not wanting to take any chances, the League had decided if the situation was dire enough for the three Ladies to come out of hiding, there had to be some authenticity behind the warning. In exchange for their trust and for Cassandra’s assistance with a League mission involving Rayquaza, the Ladies offered to return to being human and provide support in terms of dispelling whatever dark Shadowcraft might be used against this second League investigation.

Now, the Ladies themselves join the operatives from the shadows, with only a very select few knowing about their secret presence. But it’s anyone’s guess as to how long they can keep this presence a secret…

Pokémon Team: Having had to let her previous team go on their own (though Violet’s Pokémon were stolen), the League has assisted Cassandra, Jarena, and Violet in obtaining new Pokémon, Pokémon that were previously abandoned by their trainers, dropped off at a daycare and never reclaimed, and once belonged to trainers that passed away and never declared a beneficiary. Also, to keep hidden among her fellow humans, none of the Pokémon that Cassandra uses now bear any resemblance in similarity to the Pokémon she had before. However, the drawback is these new Pokémon haven’t spent too much time with their new trainers, and are still in the process of building trust with them…

Gale the Frosmoth – Gale once belonged to a trainer named Oliver Holden, who had passed away after freezing to death around the Snowslide Slope in Galar. Since then, Gale, previously without a name, has been residing in an adoption center until she was given to Cassandra to help with this mission. They still haven’t gotten to know each other, but Gale finds it fascinating that Cassandra knows the language of Pokémon, and seems to have her own secrets as well.

Angel the Swanna – Unlike Gale, in Angel’s case, he had once belonged to a trainer that lost their trainer privileges due to Pokémon abuse and battling misconduct. In fact, he was in rough shape when he was first confiscated and taken to a Pokémon shelter. For some unknown reason, he has been there for at least a year with no one willing to adopt him, but Cassandra decided to give him a chance and hope he can be a great asset to her new team. Meanwhile, Angel has taken a liking to Cassandra, captivated by her ability to speak to and understand Pokémon.

Nami the Purugly – Nami is the tragic tale of a young girl trainer named Sophia that loved Nami as a Glameow, but then when Nami evolved into a Purugly, Sophia was so horrified at Nami’s new appearance that she just outright abandoned her by leaving her Pokéball off on the side on Route 210 in Sinnoh. Despite the negative connotations about her species, Nami is a kind and gentle Pokémon and doesn’t fit the negative stereotype at all and even smiles much more than scowls. She sees good in Cassandra while Cassandra sees a gentle, abandoned soul that deserves a chance to do good for others and Cassandra hopes to make that possible.

Berri the Lilligant – What happened to Berri’s trainer is a mystery, as Berri was found still in her Pokéball in the backseat of a car that had been abandoned off to the side of the road. The car itself had been registered to Jude Maxwell, though she had been labeled as missing for three years. For now, Berri has been adopted by Cassandra, though it seems quite unlikely Jude will come looking for her, whatever she’s doing now. In essence, Berri is just happy to have a new trainer who can understand her.

Marche the Sandslash – Marche belonged to a trainer named Francis, who was killed in a drive-by-shooting after a rival gang mistook him for one of their opposing gang’s lieutenants. Marche is still on edge, still unable to grasp that Francis is gone, just like that, but he understands what death means and eventually he needs to move on. He never thought he’d find a human trainer that could understand him, but while Marche has told his story to Cassandra, she has done the same, and Marche realizes that despite Cassandra being human for now, she still seems to have the spirit of an Eevee…

Ace the Ampharos – Ace once belonged to a millionaire named Walter Frederickson, who lost everything at the high-roller table. Unable to support his own Pokémon, Walter had to sell them much to his dismay, and after some time, even the pawn shop really didn’t want to hold onto Ace after they couldn’t get a buyer. Still, Cassandra seems great potential in him and feels while he might not enjoy the millionaire’s life now, she can relate to what it feels like to go from riches to rags, but they both agree they’d rather be poor and happy as opposed to being rich but sad.

Other: Like Jarena and Violet, Cassandra has a strong knowledge of Shadowcraft, although the three Ladies now excel more along the lines of using it for healing, dispelling, and annulling curses and hexes, though they haven’t forgotten its darker side. But where Agatha and her witches have their knowledge of afflictions, the Ladies know much more about its curative properties. In addition to that, having lived in a natural habitat as Pokémon for four years, they have found ways to link and align their Shadowcraft with the terrain and nature around them, allowing them to harness druidic-like powers not even Agatha and her witches know how to do…

    JARENA FARRELL
    Spoiler:
    Name: Jarena Farrell
    Age: 23
    Gender: Female
    Role: Operative
    Appearance: (Image Ref)
Physical: Jarena stands 5’9” tall with long brunette hair, brown eyes, and with a jubilant and whimsical aura about her. She has a slim figure and is usually wearing a calm and mischievous smile. Like Cassandra, she doesn’t care much about getting dirty now.

Attire: Like Cassandra, Jarena wears baggy, loose-fitting clothing, and sometimes even jokes about “missing fur” because “it was just easier.” If Jarena had it her way, she would just wear pajamas all day, but she feels she can manage with t-shirts and baggy cargo shorts, especially in Akala’s tropical weather climates. She also likes cargo shorts because pockets, pockets, and more pockets. In addition to that, she also likes sandals and flip flops because “socks and shoes just feel weird now.”

Costume (Optional): Following the butterfly Pokémon theme, Jarena’s costume is based on a Beautifly and is akin to onesie style with the large colorful wings. Quite frankly, Jarena loves it and feels like she could wear it all day and all the time.

Personality: Playful, cheerful, and comical, there’s only a few things that can bring Jarena’s spirits down, although certain things like losing her Pokémon after the Wishmaker incident and nearly being attacked by Lance were enough to devastate her. Still, she’s quick to look at things in a fun, comical, and optimistic way. She also loves cute Pokémon and has a warm, soft spot in her heart for them.

With this new incident, ever since Cassandra had become a bit of a hero saving Rayquaza’s life, Jarena has wanted to do something heroic as well. While she has enjoyed her time casually living as a Buneary in Starglade, she welcomes the opportunity to do good, even if the rest of the world may still look down upon the Diamond Ladies. She feels maybe… just maybe, there’s hope in turning it all around. Meanwhile, like Cassandra, hygiene and sanitary behavior haven’t somewhat been discarded for Jarena. If her lunch were to spill on the floor, she’d have no qualms about just eating it right off the ground, five second rule be damned. She also doesn’t shower every day and doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty at all.

History: Jarena was born in Ecruteak City, Johto, to Alex Farrell and Joanna Farrell. As the youngest child in the family of five, Jarena had two older brothers, Hank and Adam, who were always trying to outdo each other while Jarena was off on her own to get into her own wild mischief. Sometimes, just to have fun, she’d play a prank on one of them and frame the other just to have a laugh.

As time went on, both Hank and Adam had started their trainer careers in Johto but got swept up in going to League after League, never winning any championships, but both of them had amassed a collection of badges. Jarena took things easy at first and battles were a bit of a struggle for her when she started, but it wasn’t until she met Cassandra and Violet at the slumber party did she have her whole life changed.

Like in Cassandra’s case, Shadowcraft started off with innocent intentions, but then took a dark turn as they pushed the boundaries and rules went from being bent to being outright broken. But things escalated to a point where Jarena felt it was just impossible and crazy to say “okay, yeah, let’s just stop” and not raise any red flags. Instead, they continued to use witchcraft in every tournament, simply timing each spell to look like the Diamond Ladies were just that much more effective at taking down their opponent’s Pokémon.

She tried to stay optimistic even during the S.S. Wishmaker incident had clearly squeezed the truth out of them and left them scrambling as Pokémon with all their secrets about Shadowcraft spilling out. But like Cassandra, she decided coming clean and cooperating was the only real choice after everything that had went down. Unfortunately, they didn’t get that opportunity to really make amends as the public outcry against them had gone widespread and viral. As things looked bad, her heart aligned on just running off into the wild as cute Pokémon and just living simple, happy lives away from humanity’s negativity.

Now, with this new situation surrounding Agatha, while Jarena still loves her life as a Buneary, she feels Agatha is up to something really terrible and it could spread around if left unchecked. Plus, she’s hoping maybe the three of them can be frontline heroes and maybe perform a climatic reveal of themselves helping to save the day to hopefully get people to realize the Diamond Ladies aren’t so bad after all. But for now, she agrees with Cassandra’s plan to keep things quiet as the world still thinks the three of them are dead.

    Pokémon Team:

Jubilee the Bellossom – A boy named Dave once loved a girl named Haley, and Haley had a special love for flower Pokémon like Jubilee. For Dave’s 20th birthday, Haley thought he might enjoy having a flower Pokémon of his own and she was interested to see if Dave could raise her to be a competitive fighter. Except Dave was a spineless jerk and only cared about outright dominating battles with nasty, beastly Pokémon, so Haley’s suggestion to add a not-so-competitive Pokémon like Jubilee to his team was met with a disrespectful distain and it eventually led to a terrible breakup as Haley realized Dave cared more about his battling record than love and respect. Meanwhile, to no fault of her own, Jubilee ended up in an adoption shelter as Haley just felt depressed every time she looked at Jubilee reminding her of something she wanted to forget. Life hasn’t been too good for her, but she feels a bit better now in Jarena’s company, although she still needs time to warm up to people again. To her, Jarena at least seems like a better person than Dave. Screw Dave.

Ruckus the Plusle and Mischief the Minun – Jonah was the story of a young child trainer that wanted to see if he could raise a spunky Plusle and a goofy and childish Minun as an amazing tag-team for double battles. And he had made it halfway through the Johto League before succumbing to a terrible battle with cancer that left his family and Ruckus and Mischief devastated. As the family was unable to financially support Jonah’s Pokémon, Ruckus and Mischief were put up for adoption, but now have found a new friend with Jarena. They seem to like her and her fun-loving nature, though something about her captivates them as mysterious and admirable…

Yogurt the Goodra – Yogurt is a fun-loving and happy Goodra, though the story and background of her previous trainer isn’t a pleasant one. Her previous trainer, Dani, ended up getting killed by her own Charizard when she lost control of him and he had become violently aggressive. Dani’s family was against her owning Pokémon in the first place, so all of Dani’s other Pokémon had to be put up for adoption. While Yogurt misses Dani, she’s optimistic, feeling Dani is likely “happier in a new and better place.” But in the meantime, she likes Jarena and her idea of striving to be a hero.

Comet the Clefable – Comet is a very chill, easy-going Clefable that likes a good adventure, but doesn’t take things too seriously and never really stresses out about things. His story isn’t all too bad, as he was just put up for adoption by a trainer named Brad that just decided to replace him with another Pokémon and didn’t like the idea of keeping him in a box, so he just decided maybe someone else out there could use his help. Comet had different visions for what his next trainer would be like, but he still likes Jarena’s personality and thinks he’ll do just fine with her.

Maxi the Dewgong – Maxi once belonged to a water Pokémon trainer who had fallen on hard times and really couldn’t afford to continue a Pokémon battling career, so Maxi was put up for adoption. Normally, Maxi was recluse with her previous trainer, who expected too much out of her Pokémon, but she’s enjoyed being with Jarena and finds it’s a much better experience and she likes Jarena’s playful and comical nature.

Other: Like Cassandra and Violet, Jarena knows a decent amount of Shadowcraft and in the past, Jarena enjoyed turning victims into cute and adorable Pokémon. Truthfully, she still does, but now she feels it should only be done with good purpose instead. She does like the feeling that comes with helping a person or Pokémon recover. But, if needed, she’s ready to go all out if she needs to and the situation calls for it.

    VIOLET RADCLIFFE
    Spoiler:
    Name: Violet Radcliffe
    Age: 26
    Gender: Female
    Role: Operative
    Appearance: (Image Ref)
Physical: Standing 5’10” Violet keeps a slim and attractive figure. In addition, she has short black hair and passionate green eyes. Before the S.S. Wishmaker incident, Violet didn’t mind getting her hands dirty, but now even more so. She gives off a very rogue-like aura and keeps a very dark and guile presence about her.

Attire: Prior to the Wishmaker incident, Violet liked expensive black leather clothing in addition to keeping up with fashion. However, losing almost all of her material assets and spending the last four years as a Furret have completely destroyed that kind of life. These days, like Jarena, she only wears loose-fitting, very casual clothing, mainly denim shorts or cargo shorts with a t-shirt, usually in dark colors.

Costume (Optional): Violet’s butterfly Pokémon themed costume is based on Vivillon and like the Butterfree and Beautifly costumes that Cassandra and Jarena have, it too features the large and impressive wings that resemble a Vivillon with a meadow-colored wing pattern. Normally Violet didn’t care for dressing up for this occasion, but she realized she would look like the odd lady out if she didn’t, but she’s alright with this one.

Personality: Somewhat hard and serious in nature, Violet usually lets Jarena do the joking around while she thinks more about the logistics of the situation. Sometimes Violet can be hard to read and she’s seen plenty of absurdities in her life, but generally, she tries to remain focused and not get easily distracted. Overall, while the rest of the world has turned on the three Diamond Ladies, one might wonder why a dark angel like her would try to help at a time like this. In essence, Violet would like to prove everyone who doubted them were completely wrong and while the Ladies could play the deception game, they can excel at the right side of things as well.

Meanwhile, Violet still has an instinctive habit and tendency to be wary of Furret tail behind her getting caught in a closing door or snagged onto something even though it’s not there anymore.

History: Violet was born as an only child to Barry Radcliffe and Natalya Radcliffe in Olivine City, Johto. As a child, Violet never really saw too much of her father as he was constantly on the go with a sales representative job that required 90% travel. Most of Violet’s upbringing came from her mother, who taught her early on to question everything and never to dismiss a premotion.

In school, Violet excelled in her studies, but she hated the work. The ability to memorize and understand the classroom material was there, but the passion was non-existent. Once she got the A as a final grade, she couldn’t give a damn about what she actually learned and she found very little of it actually benefited her or prepared her for the future. Very little of it seemed worthwhile from a practical standpoint.

She liked Pokémon battling, as it required wits, quick-thinking, and strategizing. It was also something where she didn’t need to pretend to adopt a teacher’s opinion or theory just to get an A and then promptly forget they even existed. It was clearly you have what it takes to win or you lose and need to rethink what you’re doing.

On the side, Violet liked to delve into the supernatural, mainly because it was never covered in school and it was something most people didn’t understand. She saw that as a challenge with dark secrets to uncover. It’s what led her to find Cassandra and Jarena at a slumber party and how discussions of such things made her find two new friends. To Violet, Cassandra was level-headed and Jarena, while whimsical and mischievous, was not the complete foolish goofball some believed she was. At the same time, she found it interesting to share what she knew about mysticism while Cassandra and Jarena shared their experiences.

Together, after meeting several times after the party, they had delved further into occult relics and it’s what ultimately led them to study Shadowcraft and realize its legitimacy once one commits the time and energy into it. Ultimately, it led to Violet and the others using it to hex and disorient wild Pokémon to aid in their capture before it was used on trainers’ Pokémon. It was something that had never been done before, and yet as they discovered, it was surprisingly effective, though inherently dishonorable. But after winning tournaments and massive prize earnings, trying to pull the plug in itself would be more suspicious than continuing.

The S.S. Wishmaker incident, however, turned her life upside-down. The cruise had started well, with Cassandra making it to the semi-finals easily thanks to Jarena and Violet hexing her adversaries’ Pokémon during battles. However, things went downhill when their guest room had been broken into and the number of infiltrators getting turned into Pokémon from a protective hex placed on their witchcraft belongings kept going up and up. But when Cassandra had accidentally turned herself into an Eevee due to her forgetting to dispel her own transformation hex, things went from bad to worse and it ultimately led to Violet and Jarena getting turned into a Furret and Buneary respectively, though that incident was caused by friendly fire from Jarena and Violet losing her cool enough to target Jarena out of distain for her mistake.

Though they tried to break away after their Shadowcraft books had been confiscated, ultimately they surrendered to the operatives of the League and tried to cooperate and make amends. Unfortunately, news of what had gone down was leaked and they were never forgiven or forgotten with all of the cheating they had done throughout the many tournaments they had been in. After Violet’s Pokémon were stolen and after far too many incidents of harassment and death threats, they decided to act upon Cassandra’s “Plan B” as Jarena was a strong advocate for it. Throwing it all away, they had decided to revert back to being Pokémon and start a new life in the northern Johto wilderness.

Their journeys had taken them to Starglade, where they found their niche as healers after they had saved the life of a Teddiursa cub that had fallen from a tree and nearly died. At one point during their four-year stay, Jon’s Latios had arrived, requesting Cassandra’s help. Violet wasn’t too fond of their past life trying to interfere with the new life they had chosen, but she decided to let Cassandra decide for herself. And then, just a year after that, Jimmy Kendo had found his way to the Starglade sanctuary, stricken with amnesia. After Violet and the others had helped him recover and return back to his Pokémon, it left Violet wondering if perhaps it was impossible to really retreat from what they had been involved with before.

And then came Agatha’s dream rallying call. It seemed odd at first, but it wasn’t until Violet discovered Cassandra and Jarena had the exact same dream. While there was reluctancy to interfere at first when they discussed it amongst themselves, Violet brought up the point that if they did nothing, whatever Shadowcraft hex or affliction was inflicted upon those innocent people on Akala Island would be impossible to undo unless another Shadowcraft witch dispelled it, and dispelling hexes, curses, and curing wounds was something the three of them had learned to excel at. Jarena also added that if they did nothing, they would likely never stop thinking about all the people and Pokémon that would be suffering, and how that suffering could have been prevented if they had only decided to help.

After discussing it, they had decided to become Altarias and fly their way to Mossdeep to give Jon the details, hoping he still had a connection to the League to warn the others and prepare for a counter-operation. Knowing Jon was one of the few people in the world that still would be willing to hear the Ladies out and trust what they were saying was true, it was the only choice they had besides doing nothing.

Now, with the operation against Agatha’s Shadowcraft witches in action, they know their roles in this undertaking will be invaluable, as they suspect Agatha’s pack of witches are not going to be at all forgiving…

    Pokémon Team:

Ankh the Luxray – Ankh was once the loyal Pokémon of Martin Harrison, a police officer that was killed in the line of duty when he confronted a terrorist that had killed themselves with a suicide bomb. Ankh himself was also seriously injured and it took months for him to recover. But when he did, Martin’s family couldn’t bear the sight of him as it kept reminding them of the incident, and felt Ankh had to find a new home and start a new life. While now he is with Violet under very different circumstances now, he senses something about her, something selfless that he knew Martin once had.

Azura the Milotic – Abandoned by her trainer because of her aggression, Azura simply didn’t want anything to do with humans and their ilk, and had been known to be disobedient. For a while it seemed like there wasn’t anything that could be done for Azura, and then Violet decided to try adopting her. Surprisingly, it seemed to work, although Azura felt Violet was different, and Violet’s four years of living in Starglade as a Furret and her ability to understand Pokémon gave the Milotic the feeling that Violet and her friends are as close as you can get to having fellow Pokémon be a trainer without actually being Pokémon. It’s a situation that could very well work.

Razor the Zangoose – Razor is a devastated soul that comes with a dark history. His previous trainer, Derek, was killed in a house fire along with his whole family and the rest of his Pokémon. Razor only survived because he had been put outside for misbehaving. But as horrid flames consumed the house, Razor could only watch from his outside pen, and no amount of thrashing and slashing could allow him to break free to try and save them. In all, he feels endless guilt that he wasn’t stronger to break the confines and rescue them, and feels he needs to do something to atone for what had happened. With Violet and this new mission, he feels a sense of purpose and an objective, especially with a trainer that understands his emotional pain.

Cray the Mawile – Cray is sneaky and guile, and likes to take advantage of those that just don’t prepare themselves. Even his last trainer got so fed up with his behavior that she put him up for adoption and couldn’t wait to get rid of him. Almost no one seemed interested in Cray and he felt he could care less, but then Violet came along and he had to say she was definitely more his time. And yet the one time he thought he could make a snarky comment about Violet while Razor was still around, he didn’t realize Violet had the capability to understand exactly what he was saying, only to get a snippy comment in return. Though he would be lying if he said he didn’t feel drawn on from that.

Kano the Dusknoir – Kano faces a tough stereotype in the belief that ghost Pokémon are up to no good. And yet, as Violet discovered, Kano possesses a philosopher’s wisdom that very few care to spend just a minute to learn from. It had been frustrating and even his previous trainer didn’t feel like Kano was even being much of a ghost or a battler, thinking logically and objectively rather than trying to focus on the battle to win it. Kano doesn’t battle very much and only when he needs to, but he makes for a very good mediator.

Indigo the Mienshao – Indigo’s previous trainer, Seth, was unfortunately killed in a bus accident that killed four other people. Unfortunately for Indigo, Seth was the only member in the family who trained Pokémon and never left a will or beneficiary to pass down his Pokémon to. While Violet is very different from the kind of trainer Seth was, being very open and transparent, he feels maybe he can warm up to Violet. But he does still reminiscence about Seth and the kinds of things he said and liked to do.

Other: Like Cassandra and Jarena, Violet knows many kinds of Shadowcraft spells, although like the other two, her specialization has been to dispel and cure hexes and afflictions, as well as undo injuries. However, she hasn’t lost her knowledge of the afflictions and hexes either…

    Luneth Tarot
    Spoiler:
    Name: Luneth Tarot
    Age: 21
    Gender: Female
    Role: Operative
    Appearance:
Physical: Luneth now stands at 5’3 high, with pale skin and white hair down to her waist, which is often tied back in a long ponytail. She has pale violet eyes, and wears thin rimmed oval glasses, which she now favours over the contact lenses she previously wore.

Attire: Over the last few years Luneth has cut down on the amount of different outfits, due to having less disposable income to spend on clothing. Now her go-to outfit is a short sleeved red and black dress, with a yellow scarf and arm sleeves, alongside black trousers and red shoes, and if it seems like it’ll be cold, a dark grey jacket.
She also still has the fluffy white remote control tail, wearing it near constantly.

Costume (Optional): This year Luneth made a Diancie themed outfit from the an online pattern. It consists of a headdress made of (cheap plastic) pink crystal, a short white dress with a longer dark grey skirt going down to her ankles, and a gold (painted plastic) necklace.

Personality: Luneth tends to have a short attention span, often leaving things the moment she’s figured it out, sometimes even forgetting to implement said solution.

She’s very inquisitive, and hates not knowing things. As such, if there’s a mystery she’ll leap headlong into it without thinking about the repercussions until it’s too late.

The theft of Violet’s pokemon shortly after the Wishmaker incident has made Luneth a bit paranoid, booby-trapping her pokeballs and other items with dizziness curses to avoid theft, and trying to hide her magic from the general public. In contrast to her previously relaxed personality, Luneth is now more on edge a lot of the time, and tends to jump to conclusions a lot more.

She still believes that she is an Alolan Vulpix stuck in human form, and as such acts like one at random times, even when not in that shape.

    History:
After the Wishmaker incident, Luneth returned to gym circuits, traveling through Galar, where she failed the 8th gym once again, then Kalos and Sinnoh’s leagues, this time managing to collect all the badges for each, though she was unable to defeat either elite 4.

The gyms were really an excuse to travel, after finding the Initiator tome in Galar she scoured the regions for more Shadowcraft tomes, in search of one specific spell.
The cost of her journey was high, forcing her to become more frugal than before.

After two years of searching, she finally found what she was looking for in a small bookstore in Celestic Town: the tome containing the pokemon transformation curse used by the diamond sisters on the Wishmaker.
Temporarily pausing her league challenge, Luneth dedicated herself to learning both the curse and the removal spell, which was contained in an earlier purchased tome.
After mastering the transformation spell, Luneth’s obsession with obtaining Shadowcraft tomes diminished. She returned to finish her gym challenges, now stockpiling the ingredients for those two spells.

After return from Sinnoh, Luneth took a short hiatus from competitive battling, making her income from selling cosplay outfits for a time.
When not making outfits, she would spend weeks at a time as an Alolan Vulpix in the Glimwood, only her parents knowing where she was.

During one such “vacation,” Luneth received Agatha’s message, though she didn’t understand it, believing it to be simply be a dream until Glimmer explained what it meant.
As Shadowcraft was already seen in a bad light, and this gathering seemed unlikely to be for noble reasons, Luneth decided to inform the League of it. By the time she got the message to them, they were already informed of the situation, but due to her ability with the dark magic, Luneth was offered a place on the mission, which she readily accepted.

    Pokémon Team:
    Silvally (Circuit)
-Shy and quiet most of the time, Circuit enjoys battle, and grows restless in he spends too long without a fight.
Circuit wears a lightweight Type Null style mask, and freezes up if seen without it. He also keeps his Electric Memory permanently installed, essentially being an electric type.

    Aegislash (Alondite)
    -Stoic and emotionless.

    Volcarona (Hestia)

    -Protective, sometimes overly so.

    Scolipede (Roseli)
    -Sneaky and mischievous.

    Ditto (Flan)
    -Flashy and showoffish.

    Shaymin (Glimmer)
    -see other sign up

Other: Due to having been in the shape of a pokemon in the past, Luneth can understand pokemon speak.
She has some knowledge of Shadowcraft, mainly focused on transformation spells, but also a few general minor curse removal spells, and her go to dizziness curse.

    Glimmer
    Spoiler:
    Name: Glimmer “Tarot”
    Age: 20
    Gender: Female
    Role: Operative
    Appearance:
Physical: As a human she’s 5’8, with brown eyes frequently covered by bright lime green contact lenses, and long black hair cut short around her face, though she uses a Shadowcraft curse to turn it the same lime green as her eyes.

As a shaymin she looks like most others, with the only distinguishing difference being her brighter more lime green colour. She spends most of the time in her sky form.

Attire: She is most often seen wearing a white sundress with a pastel green flower pattern, along with dark brown gladiator sandals. She is also never seen without her short pink scarf pinned with a gracidea flower, regardless of which form she is in.

Costume (Optional): For the festival, Glimmer designed her own outfit, pestering Luneth into making it for her. She is wearing a Salamence themed outfit. A blue and grey dress, with red crescent wings and a blue & red tail attached, alongside blue claw-tipped boots, and a long headband with three fin/spikes on each side. She also “dyed” her hair dark blue/grey with magic to add to the look.

Personality: Glimmer is very friendly, and will never hesitate to help anyone in need, though she prefers to wait until she has all the facts before making a move where possible.

Despite her friendly demeanor, she is very secretive, hiding much about herself or her history from all but those closest to her. She can also be rather mischievous, though never going to far with it.

She has little to no regard for her own safety, especially when it comes to Shadowcraft, where she’ll often test spells and variants on herself.

Like her trainer she has a fondness for puzzles and games, recently having taken a particular liking the chess, though she will admit that she is not very good at it, only being able to plan a few moves ahead at a time.

She is very active in the sunshine, but dislikes cloudy or rainy days, in which she lacks any energy, seeming almost zombie like. She also only stays up past sunset if absolutely necessary, preferring to rise and set with the sun.

She dislikes walking, and has little stamina, tiring out quickly.

History: Born the Glimwood, Glimmer was still a child when she met Luneth, quickly becoming such friends that she followed the five year old home, becoming part of the family, and once both were old enough, Luneth’s first official pokemon.

Glimmer competed alongside Luneth in various pokemon leagues, though battling wasn’t her main love, always being interested in Psychic types’ powers and other magic.

Following the Wishmaker incident, Glimmer learned Shadowcraft alongside Luneth, taking it in much faster and quickly outpacing her trainer.

A while after Luneth gained the tome containing the pokemon transformation curse, Glimmer tried experimenting in secret using other components to try and adjust the spell, eventually stumbling onto a combination that worked, allowing her to substitute human DNA for pokemon, and make the curse change to make the target take on the form of that human, though as far as she knew it only worked on pokemon.

Shortly after, she bought a real hair wig from a prop department, using it as fuel for the edited transformation curse, to keep a consistent look.

Alongside Luneth, she received the dream message from Agatha. Unlike her trainer, she understood what it meant, and while tempted to accept and learn more about Shadowcraft, it felt dangerous enough that she agreed with Luneth’s idea to report it to the league.
In doing so, she also offered her assistance in resolving the situation, partly to help protect everyone, and partly to find out what the coven’s motivations are, and who’s really in the right.
(And though she won’t admit it, partly just to have an excuse to attend the Spiritwater festivities.)

Pokémon Team: None/is a pokemon herself.

Other: Has a greater knowledge of Shadowcraft than Luneth, having memorized all the basic spells and hexes, and has started on some of the more complex specialized spells, though has little practical application, not willing to test them on anyone but herself.

    @Chakramaster

Checked Jimmy and Alisaie out. Love that Alisaie has an Emolga! :3

But yeah, as I discussed on Discord, looks like everything’s good!

    @Shruikan

Interesting that Glimmer is kind of human now. I’m curious to see how this is going to play out.

Everything looks good to go, welcome back to the action!
