Get ready to be a magnet for Magnemite!
Sparks fly for Magnemite this Tuesday as the spotlight is on this little magnet Pokemon!
On August 3rd, the Magnet Pokemon is going to be in the spotlight! We are going to see Magnemite in this week’s weekly hour event. Let’s take a look at the Electric/Steel type Pokemon, Magnemite!
About Magnemite

Magnetmite is 1’00” and weighs 13.2lbs. Magnemite loves to gather around in places with electricity such as power plants and steel towers that support power lines.
Magnemite was one of the most traded Pokemon on the GTS during Generation 5. That is because players would trade Magnemite to each other to help boost visitors in their Join Avenue in Black 2/White 2. It had originated in Japan due to Magnemite’s Japanese name, Coil. Based on that, players would start a chain or a coil.
In Pokémon GO

Magnemite, in its base stage, has it’s strongest moveset in Spark & Discharge and it has a Max CP of 1,540. Magnezone, it’s final form has it’s strongest moveset in Spark & Wild Charge and it has a Max CP of 3,623.
The Shiny form of Magnemite was released November 16th, 2018 as part of the Let’s Go Celebration event.
