New Pokemon

During the trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, we saw what is best to be described an Hisuian evolution of Scyther. Below are the details.

Kleavor
Category: Axe Pokémon
Height: 5?11?
Weight: 196.2 lbs.
Type: Bug/Rock
Kleavor is a Bug/Rock type Pokemon. It seems as if Scyther has always value some form of defense in order to become strong and it shows in this evolution and Scizor. Kleavor has a pair of giant axes for hands in order to cut into opponents and cause massive damage.
Sycther will evolve into Kleavor due to special minerals found in the Hisui region. Because of this, parts of Scyther’s body has harden into stones. The stones that fall off from this Pokemon during battle are crafted into tools by the people of Hisui.
Happenings in Jubilife Village

There are plenty of things happening in Jubilife Village. After all, it is the base of operations for the Galaxy Team. Not only can you prepare for any upcoming survey jobs but you can expect to have some fun while in the village. Below is a list of things you can do while in Jubilife Village.

  • The clothier and hairdresser: Players can mix up outfits and hairstyles at the clothier and the hairdresser to choose their look.

  • The photography studio: Players can take pictures alongside their Pokémon at the photography studio.

  • The general store and craftworks: If players used up their items on a previous excursion, they can replenish their supplies at the general store. They can also use in-game currency to buy new crafting recipes and materials from the craftworks.

      • The pastures: The pastures are where players can leave Pokémon that have been caught. Many Pokémon will need to be caught to complete the Pokédex, but only six Pokémon can be taken along in a party. Players will want to choose the right Pokémon for each mission before heading out on surveys. At any of the various base camps, players can change which Pokémon they have in the party or send Pokémon to the pastures.

Some interesting people can be found within Jubilife Village. Especially in the General Store and Clothier. Some fans have spotted the following within Jubilife Village.

Looks familiar? If so then that means you remember one of the Battle Brains from the Battle Frontier in Sinnoh. It looks as if Darach’s family has always been serving people even as far back during the time of Hisui.

An ancestor of Charon can be found within Jubilife Village. He doesn’t look to happy working the general store, it looks as if this person does enjoy making new things. Perhaps ties to his future relative.
Speaking of interesting people.
New Characters in Legends: Arceus

A few new characters have appeared in the latest trailer for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. These new characters are all Wardens who reside in the Hisui region.
Wardens in the Hisui region are a group of people who look after Noble Pokemon and other special Pokemon. They offer Pokemon food and protection. Meanwhile, you may be asked to help them. Perhaps even battle some of the Wardens.

Mai
Mai can be found in Obsidian Fieldlands looking after a special Wyrdeer. She seems to have a Munchlax by her side.
It looks as if Mai is related to Marley from present day Sinnoh in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. This can be seen in her facial appearance and unique fashion tastes. This is most notable in the tattoo-like images that over her outfit. Similar to her later descendant who will be dressed in goth lolita outfit.

Lian
Lian is another Warden that you can find in Obsidian Fieldlands. He can be found in the Grandtree Arena of Obsidian Fields and looks after the Noble Kleavor.

Based on Lian’s hat, it looks as if Lian is related to Clay in the Unova region from Pokemon Black & White.

Iscan
Iscan is another Warden from the Hisui region. Not much is known about him expect that he tends to the Basculegion in the area.
Iscan doesn’t seem to have a connection to a character from previous games taking place in modern times.

Arezu
The final Warden that was revealed was Arezu. We do not know what Pokemon she takes care of. Though, you do meet her in Jubilife Village near the hairdresser. She marvels at your status in Galaxy Team.
Arezu bears a strong resemblance to Mars from Team Galactic in Pokemon Diamond & Pearl. What is interesting is her interest in Galaxy Team. Especially because her future descendant will eventually join Team Galactic.
Interesting note about the Wardens. Their names seem to have ties to their present time descendant Japanese name. This can especially be seen with Mai whose descendant is Marley. If you look up Marley’s Japanese name, it will be Mai. That just so happens to be Mai’s name.
Riding Pokemon in Hisui

You will be able to ride several new Pokemon in the Hisui region. These Pokemon will help you transverse all kinds of terrain so you can create the first Pokedex in the Hisui region.
You can call on these Pokemon by using the Celestica Flute. This instrument has been passed down through generations of people in the Hisui region. If you play the Celestica Flute then you will be able to summon these special Pokemon to ride them.
Below is the list of Pokemon that you can ride and what they will allow you to do.

  • Wyrdeer?: Wyrdeer has powerful, sturdy legs, and riding upon it will allow players to gallop across the land at great speed and jump to leap over obstacles.

  • Basculegion?: Basculegion can carry players on its back, allowing for travel across bodies of water. Basculegion is also able to launch itself from the water’s surface, letting players leap effortlessly over obstacles in their way.

  • Hisuian Braviary: Hisuian*Braviary*will let players soar through the skies. From up in the*air, players will also be able to get a good look at what kinds of Pokémon live down below and what*kinds of items might be found.

Pokemon with Mysterious Powers

There are a few Pokemon with Mysterious Powers in the Hisui region. These Pokemon tend to be much stronger then the Pokemon you normally see around in the Hisui region. You will need to be careful if you see them in the wild.
These Pokemon will fall under two categories: Alpha and Noble Pokemon.
Alpha Pokemon
Alpha Pokemon tend to be larger then normal Pokemon of the same species that you see in the Hisui region. These Pokemon will also have glowing red eyes and tend to be much more aggressive. If you spot these Pokemon in the wild then be careful! They will most likely chase after you and attack if you get too close.
Noble Pokemon
Noble Pokemon seem to have some sort of mysterious blessing. Some of these Pokemon are quite powerful and some are willing to assist the people of Hisui. It is because of this they have gain the title of Noble.
It is because of this respect and mysterious power that these Pokemon have that the Wardens tend to them. The Wardens do this by making sure the Noble Pokemon’s territories remain violated or provide offerings. These offerings can be in the form of food and water.
Though, there has been a strong phenomenon that is causing the Noble Pokemon to fly into a frenzy. There is no reason why this is happening but things become difficult when this happens. Sometimes,as your duty of the Galaxy Expedition Team, you may be called by the Wardens to help calm the Noble Pokemon.
A Mysterious New Device!

Early in your adventure in the Hisui region, you will be given a new device called the Arc Phone. This device looks quite strange for various reasons. Though, you may notice it looks similar to Arceus. Not much is known about this device expect that it contains some sort of strange power. It will apparently help guide you through you journey in the Hisui region.
