The Water-type smiled at the supposed gaining of a new ally. But for now, they wanted to take a look at the Buizel's ship. Putting on the thin black vest they wore as a Nidorina to try and cover some of their glowing, they set out for the ship.
"The more we get, the better shot we have against the Stalkers," Lyric mumbled to themself as they travelled the mostly empty roads. "Regardless of whether or not the Medallion is related to them, or a Tatsujin relic, or even something else, getting some knowledge of what exactly it is would probably help..."
After the night falls, you decide to see if you can find the broken sigil fragment that Velay mentioned earlier. It’s a bit of a long, shuffling walk in the dark toward the Flying Ace, especially as a Brionne. By the time you get there and catch your breath, Velay is fast asleep. Since he didn’t seem to mind you taking the fragment if you can find it, you decide to get started as his ship is rather large and a lot of containers and piles of belongings are laying about. You figure trying to find this fragment through traditional sifting, shuffling, and digging could take weeks and you just don’t have that time. You figure you’re going to need a whole different approach for this rather daunting task.
You decide to start from the top, investigating the bridge. For the most part, Velay’s ship seems to be in alright shape in terms of condition, although it’s a bit of a mess and it seems like keeping the ship clean and orderly isn’t on his list of priorities. Not to mention being a salvager isn’t the cleanest of professions and you can tell a lot of rubbish from shipwrecks and from the bottom of the ocean made it onto his ship and was never swept away.
On the lower interior deck levels, you find plenty of crates, metal barrels, boxes, and other used and battered containers holding various tools, objects, debris, and other odds and ends of things that Velay still needs to get organized, cleaned up, and appraised. However, most of it doesn’t seem too valuable and you’re not sure why he still hangs onto most of it, but you get the feeling that he still feels some of these things are personal trophies to him and despite their dingy nature, he has fond memories instilled into them. Memories of adventure, discovery, and
After about two hours of searching, you try to focus with your spirit and your Savant senses as opposed to relying on only what you can see with your eyes. The Black Moon essences of the fragment aren’t as easy to detect as the presence of demonic Stalker relics, but there is a slight supernatural signature to them that you feel should resonate with you as you get closer to it. However, given the fact it’s broken, it takes that much longer to find it among the piles of debris and other junk.
As you navigate your way through the metallic hallways and chambers, you close your eyes at times, trying to sense the slightest and faintest of Black Moon presence, which you’ve felt before from having come across other relics that the guild has created. There are plenty of times when you feel nothing, but as you head to the back of the vessel, you then pick up the trace, even though it’s very, very faint and would never be detected by an ordinary Pokémon. It becomes almost a game of hot and cold in the dark as you need to keep your eyes shut to avoid having the sense of sight distract you from this sixth sense that needs your full concentration. While it causes you to bump and nudge into some of the random containers and piles of things that Velay has around, you approach the presence until it becomes stronger and stronger, although only in very minute amounts. When you feel you’ve reached the center origin point of the presence, you then finally open your eyes and look down at the piles of dirty and broken metal objects laying in a pile before you. As you sift through them, you find the lost fragment:
[=Sigil Fragment 2=] has been added to the Team Inventory.
Undetectable by normal Pokémon, you sense this is one of Black Moon’s last relic pieces and it matches the format that the other two pieces had.
Having found what you were looking for, you head back to Benni’s farmstead and then you find the other two broken pieces…
Taking the other two pieces, you place them together, and then with an uncanny, supernatural presence, the three pieces fuse together with a dark, violet-colored light. Once it dies down, you see the completed sigil before you, as if it was never shattered in the first place…
The Black Moon Sigil Fragments have become the [=Black Moon Assassin Sigil=].
The Black Moon presence radiating from this emblem becomes far stronger, and you realize whatever destroyed this sigil must have been a very powerful presence of evil trying to prevent its reassembly. Part of you wonder if this same evil presence might have been one of the reasons why Black Moon was eliminated so many years ago, and why only their relics remain.
Nonetheless, you intend on continuing their work… knowing it’s exactly what the Demoni don’t want you to do. You’re not sure how this sigil will be used, but you have a feeling it may be close by and soon it will yield the answers you’re seeking.
For now, you decide to head off to sleep, feeling fulfilled and satisfied that you’ve taken yet another step toward saving Seabourne…
