After deciding to stay in tonight, you gather the broken components of the ancient vault key mechanism and work on reconstructing them to their former state. You find the best way to begin is to try and categorize the individual pieces as you discern what their role is in the machine. As you sort through the metal rods, latches, plates, screws, and other parts, it definitely feels like you have your work cut out for you. And something else quickly becomes apparent…

You find not only has the mechanism been badly damaged, but even beyond that, the apparatus is complicated and involves a lot of complex, bewildering components that not only need to be placed in proper alignment, but many of them are in desperate need of repair and need to be refurbished and rewelded before they can be placed correctly. As you go through the components and try to match broken pieces together and restore them, there are others that need to be bent back to their previous precise shape and alignment. Without access to any kind of metalworking devices or smelting tools, you find it impossible to create new parts to replace the broken and damaged ones, forcing you to use exactly what’s in front of you for better or for worse.

As you go through the very painstaking process, you can only imagine what kind of advanced engineering when into creating this contraption, but you find yourself having to learn its functions in order to restore it and you find it very difficult without any kind of text guides or mentoring.

After nearly spending the entire night piecing the ancient apparatus together part by part, trial and error, all while refurbishing the pieces that were bent, broken, or cracked, you find yourself worn out, but finally the task is complete…

[Broken Vault Key Mechanism: <Repair>] has become the [Vault Key Mechanism]

Without a doubt, the Tueur were more talented than what they got credit for and you can tell ordinary Pokémon would not have been capable of this level of ingenuity. It becomes clear this was the reasoning, that only Savants would have this kind of capability while native Pokémon to this world would find this technology far too alien for them to understand. Still, with the device restored as best as possible given the age and condition of the machine, you feel it should at last be ready for deployment at the vault and reveal its dark secrets…

If you really want to try this rather brutal puzzle… here is the link and GOOD LUCK!
