    Miasma: Over the Edge [SU/DS]

    INTRODUCTION

In this RP that takes place in an alternate but arguably cooler Pokémon universe, your character is a Pokémon trainer (elite/master level), and they’re also a superhero with their own special superpowers and abilities, called their “Edge!” In this setting and environment, characters aren’t just trainers barking orders from the sidelines. They fight alongside their Pokémon, working together and kicking butt as a team! Some heroes choose Pokémon that complement their Edge powers and abilities and use them together, while others may pick Pokémon that make up and cover for their weaknesses to protect each other. Some may deploy a combination of both to be prepared for anything!

If that sounds awesome to you, then you’ve come to the right place!

In this RP, you will take control of a superhero of your own awesome creation with their own team of champion-level Pokémon that was hired in response to a crisis situation! I, as GM, will be commanding the villains that you’ll need to deal with! The storyline background uses mainly Castelia City, Unova as the setting, but hey, it could expand beyond that!

Also, this RP is heavily influenced by My Hero Academia (because some people got me hooked on it and you know who you are!), so if you’re familiar with it, you’ll probably be able to spot the blips of inspiration, but hey, that’s ok! If not, don’t worry about it. ;P

    THE STORY SO FAR

Humans have known about Pokémon for ages and have trained them throughout the millennia. And one of those aspects is the enigmatic phenomenon of Pokémon evolution, where a Pokémon grows and transforms into a more powerful one through this amazing and metamorphic process! Of course as you know, some Pokémon evolve through training, others through evolution stones, others by emotions, and sometimes just being in a certain location at a certain time. There’s a ton of unexplained mysteries behind it!

Now when it comes to humans, well, there’s a whole different story with that…

…First, dial the clock back to October 17, 1967. As far back as anyone can remember, this was the date the first known incident of human evolution happened. A young lady by the name of Danielle Fairfield, a totally normal human trainer with no records of bizarre medical history or conditions, experienced the same, near-instant, metamorphic evolution that Pokémon go through after handling a fire stone she originally wanted to use to evolve her Vulpix into a Ninetales! The old witness and investigation records (written on a friggin’ typewriter no less) mentioned she had grown fiery wings like a Moltres, now had crimson hair, and was capable of unleashing flames and fire the way fire Pokémon could! It was clearly an unexplainable miracle and the only response the scientists had at the time was that she had somehow evolved like a Pokémon.

And then as time marched on, more human evolution incidents were reported! Some found their evolution quickly by luck and chance, some had to work or search hard to obtain it, while others tried a variety of methods to trigger it. For some it worked, but for others there was no luck and some went crazy over it and either kept trying or gave up. In time, those that evolved referred to their superpowers as their “Edge” and the name stuck and became an official term. In the early days, those achieving human evolution and gaining Edge powers was a pretty small minority, but in time, they became the majority and now 70% of the population has achieved these amazing powers through evolution!

Throughout the decades, there have been many unusual and crazy theories about all this. Some think a night of shooting stars or the unusual appearance of Ho-oh over Ecruteak City that same year in 1967 was the reason for this starting. Other people believe this is the result of some alien substance or radiation that came from a meteor! And some people believe this is the work of some unknown and undiscovered legendary or mythic Pokémon. None of these theories have been validated, but nonetheless, Edge powers have been accepted and normalized in everyday society! Some people even base their whole careers off of them!

For most people, their Edge powers and appearance changes are relatively basic and only a few features have been changed, like a human with colored hair, horns, and/or a tail or wings! For some others, the changes are drastic and they don’t even look human anymore after they evolved! Over time, the days of Pokémon battles and trainers just calling out orders from the sidelines ended and seemed too boring in comparison to the new way to battle… fighting alongside your Pokémon during a battle! It made for way more exciting battles and tournaments, and as a result, the old standard way of battling soon fizzled out.

Now, even with all these changes, not everything was peaches and cream. There are many evolved people with Edge powers that use them for wicked intentions! Stealing, vandalism, preying upon the weak and less fortunate… especially those that haven’t evolved and need their Pokémon or weapons to protect themselves! These villains work alongside nefarious Pokémon and they despise authority, crave anarchy, and want to create a society where the weak have to serve the strong! Some have even banded together to create dark factions.

And on that note, there’s been a new development.

It's now the year 2055, and in Castelia City, Unova, such a band of villains has struck. First, while visiting City Hall, Luke Markinson, the 22-year-old son of Unova President Robert Markinson, was captured by thugs after his security detail was taken out! Now he’s being held hostage somewhere in the city and no one is able to contact him!

At the same time, civilians and police reports have claimed this new dark faction and their gang of thugs have declared Castelia City as their own autonomous zone, and now crime has escalated drastically with the police force under heavy fire! Most police forces now are stuck outside of the city and have been positioned to at least contain the problem and make sure this doesn’t attempt to spill into other cities to cause even more havoc.

Rumors have it that the faction causing this anarchy is the new resurfacing of Miasma, one of the most infamous villain leagues in history. The old villain faction of Miasma caused all kinds of hell some 20 years ago, but was thought to have disbanded after their leader, Cyclone, was neutralized by getting shrunk so small that he could only be seen with a microscope. Meanwhile, his nine lieutenants, the Nefarious Nine, were all arrested and faded into obscurity in prison.

It is believed that Miasma never truly died and functions under a new leader named “Nirvana.” Before, they were just rumors that were dismissed, but now that these events have unfolded, hero society has reason to believe there is some truth to these rumors and that Nirvana really has established a new team of Nefarious Nine lieutenants. Still, their identities are unknown.

With so much chaos happening, Unova has called upon YOU for aid! Because you’re one of the best heroes and Pokémon masters out there, that’s why! It’s time for you to be a hero and take down Miasma, and for good this time!

    YOUR ROLE

You need to head into Castelia City and rescue Luke Markinson and any other civilian hostages you can find! Help the tactical police units reclaim the city from Miasma’s hands and capture Nirvana and the new Nefarious Nine!

Your Edge powers are stronger than most other people and they define you as a superhero! Meanwhile, your team of Pokémon is incredibly awesome and you’re a superhero celebrity known to quite a few people! Your autographs are worth a lot!

UNDERSTANDING HUMAN EVOLUTION AND EDGE POWERS

People still barely understand how Pokémon can evolve and even LESS SO for how humans evolve after decades of this new phenomenon taking place! Throughout the years, scientists have discovered that human DNA and genetic structure had begun to take on irregular shapes and now bears major similarities to that of the Pokémon Eevee, which has so many options for evolution! As a result, like Eevee itself, event triggers, emotional influences, evolution items, and being in certain locations can trigger evolutions in humans and allow them to become something akin to superheroes and much more like Pokémon, but it varies from person to person! As a result, it’s now commonplace to see people in normal, everyday crowds that seem more Pokémon in nature than the human they used to be, having new skin or fur, appendages like tails and wings, and elemental characteristics like fire, ice, or leaves on their bodies. It’s not always apparent who has what kind of Edge powers, however!

Some humans discover their evolution and Edge powers early, some discover it later in life, and others haven’t been able to discover it at all, sometimes causing a type of mania known as Edge Envy. Humans never know if and when they’ll evolve and many try to experiment with different methods to obtain it. And there’s some people that have evolved multiple times and have become huge and much more like Pokémon than humans!

Overall, it has been considered that Edge powers can still be anything and many unexpected Edge powers have surfaced over time and still continue to surprise society, making it tricky to come up with laws that limit and govern these powers. For now, most laws decree that Edge powers can only be used as tools by the general public and they can only be used as a weapon for self-defense. For heroes and law enforcement, Edge powers can be used to apprehend criminals with the request that collateral damage be minimized.

    MIASMA

The details regarding this new rendition of Miasma are limited, but scouts and reconnaissance efforts have been able to pick up scraps. Besides making Castelia City a filthy and crime-slathered autonomous zone and taking Luke Markinson hostage, they’re not sure what the gang’s high-level and long-term motives are, but they’re sure they’re anything but pretty.

You’ll be introduced to more Miasma villains as time goes on. You’ll need to go deep into Castelia City and persistently work your way up the food chain, uncovering more and more information about them. Sure, they have leverage, but with you, they’ll need to act.

There is a new Nefarious Nine and they have sidekicks of their own.

    CASTELIA CITY

Use this map (professionally created using a random generator and then given district labels because NO WAY am I spending the next seven years of my life drawing all these little squares) for determining locations in Castelia City! Ok, I get it, it’s not quite like the one in Black and White, but let’s face it, that’s a small map! So we’re using this much bigger one.

The districts are what you’d use in post header, but you can create your own sub-locations in those districts, such as “Jirachibucks Coffee Shop, Trinity Park” or “Pokémon Center, Blackstone District.” That way people have a relative idea of where your character is. You’re free to put any kind of commercial, residential, municipal, industrial, utility or whatever kind of building in any of the districts. There’s plenty of room for just about anything you can dream up!

Getting around Castelia City is relatively quick, but shouldn’t be instant, as in you might need a few posts to get from one side of the city to the other, unless your Edge encompasses some power to dash around like that or you have a Pokémon that is capable of really fast speeds/teleportation. However, getting from one neighboring district to another (such as going from Coastfront to The Circle) can be quick, but going from one side to the other (Northwind to Southside) might take a couple of posts.

    SITUATIONAL COMPONENTS

    • In this RP, your character and their Pokémon are much more resilient than most and would survive situations with only minor wounds that would normally kill most people! It’s the kind of situation where your character could get flung through a stone wall and it would hurt like crazy, but your character would most likely get back up again to continue fighting, albeit in some pain of course! Your character would even survive fairly major wounds, such as being impaled, badly burnt, and suffer with broken bones, but they would need healing. And there’s folks on your side (NPCs or PCs that elect to have that kind of thing) that can offer that kind of healing if you can safely fall back to get to them.
    • ALL Edge powers have limitations and drawbacks (yes, even the villains deal with this, too!). They can’t be used in extreme excess for extended periods of time without some kind of drawback, impairment, or exhaustion side effect coming into play. Edge powers that cause some kind of abnormality effect (blindless, paralysis, etc) may only work for a temporary amount of time or may only be possible under certain conditions (low lighting, time of day, etc).
    • The RP begins with the heroes knowing only very little about Miasma’s members and the Nefarious Nine. More details will be revealed as the RP goes on, along with spicy new plot developments!

    RULES

    • The usual PXR rules and Role Play rules apply! But you knew that!
    • Be kind, be gentle, and please be respectful. We’re all friends here and we can work things out! :3
    • Content is PG-13/Teen (and we’re going for something more light-hearted here). A bit of bloodshed and broken appendages are okay, but please nothing like dismemberment, decapitation, or any extreme giga-death stuff. Also, there are forms of supernatural healing, so don’t feel like having your character’s leg or arm broken means they’re now out of the RP and have to spend months in recovery and physical therapy (it’s boring, we skip that stuff here). Of course they’d have to get to safety for supernatural treatment, however! Rest assured, the villains can experience the same kind of thing! Spoiler alert, they have healers, too.
    • I will be loose on the god-modding rules as long as everything done is in good faith (as in not just trying to win the RP in the quickest and outright cheesiest way possible, but really throw those creative and crafty plot points in the mix to make the story more fun)! That I’m totally cool with. All that I ask is please don’t do something that would spoil the fun. >:3
    • Bunnying (controlling) other people’s characters is okay only if you have their permission and/or you worked things out over on messenger or something like that (we’ve done this before and it works pretty well).
    • Please use a header at the top of each of your posts that has your character’s name (especially handy if you’re making multiple characters) and their location in Castelia City (and beyond if we go the route).
    • Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pokémon are TOTALLY OK to use in this! Even if you don’t know their exact movesets yet, no worries, as long as it makes sense for them to use the kinds of moves you’re having them pull off! Like obviously Sprigatito won’t be using Fire Blast or Blizzard, but having one use Solar Blade, Headbutt, or Bite is totally fine by me. If you’re unsure of what to do about this, feel free to pick an already “released” Pokémon that’s similar to the Scarlet/Violet Pokémon you’re picking as a model (say using Leafeon’s movepool for Sprigatito since they’re both mammalian cat-like grass type Pokémon).
    • You do NOT have to limit your Pokémon to four moves only! Use whatever they can learn! The four-move limit is lousy. Go beyond, Plus Ultra!

Superhero Code Name: (If your character had a comic book, this would be on it in big flashy lettering!)
Name: (Your character’s actual first and last name, super simple! Can be secret if you want to be like Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne!)
    Sex: (Male or Female)
Age: (Your character's age in years)
Appearance: (How your character looks in terms of physical characteristics and their usual clothing! You can also describe their superhero outfit if they have one.)
Personality: (How your character behaves and their overall emotional intelligence)
History: (Your character’s past, and what their superhero origin story is like. Describe how they evolved, got their Edge powers, and learned to use them (a UA High School equivalent is totally fine ;P). You can also describe how they got selected for this mission!)
Edge Superpowers: (Describe all the cool powers your character has! I’m going to be pretty lenient with this and allow you to have a lot of creative freedom, but PLEASE NOTE that I do intend to make this fun and challenging, so the more powers everyone tacks on to their characters means a more challenging response from me and my supervillains to keep things balanced!)
Pokémon Team: (You can have a team of six Pokémon for your character, and one of them may be a legendary or mythical Pokémon (you can be considered elite after all!). As an optional addition, feel free to mention their personalities and any distinguishing features (scars, accessories, hair styles, etc…) these Pokémon may have, but all of that is optional!)
NPC Sidekicks (optional): (You can have up to TWO NPC sidekicks with their own Edge powers (shouldn’t be as strong as your main character’s), but if you’d rather be your own warrior with no sidekicks, that’s fine, too!)

    Extras:

Likes: (Things your character considers their favorites. Could be hobbies, favorite foods, things of that nature)
Dislikes: (Things your character wouldn’t miss if they were vaporized from existence. In this case, something like “smelly things” means that while everyone doesn’t stinky things, for your character, it really bothers them much more than most.)

    And that’s all!

    Spoiler:

    Superhero Code Name: Rocket
    Name: Blair Mullins
    Sex: Male
    Age: 19
    Appearance:
Blair is slightly shorter than the average male of his age, standing at 5ft7, however, given his use of his edge relies heavily on getting up close and personal, he is well built and muscular from years of training. His hands bear a few odd scars from accidental burns, when Blair had transmuted something into thermal or electrical energy in a way he hadn’t intended, however it has been many years since an occurrence such as this.

He has deep blue eyes, and jet black, shaggy hair, which is due for a trim soon. To his dismay, he is unable to grow a respectable beard, so remains clean-shaven. His face is lightly freckled.

In his civilian outfit, Blair tends to try and choose clothing that will allow him to, if need be, use his Edge as comfortably as he would in his hero outfit. He wears a pair of rubber soled work boots in order to insulate him from the ground, as well as carries a pair of leather gloves, lined internally by rubber. Should he throw a punch while wearing them, he can convert the kinetic energy of the displaced air into electrical energy, without shocking himself. This also allows for static electricity to build up, and by extension, be converted into thermal or kinetic energy. By extension, his outfits tend to be light loose, allowing easy, unrestricted movement. Normally a pair of shorts, with a tee, underneath a sleeveless, zip-up hoodie, allowing him to cover his face if he needs to remain anonymous.

His hero outfit takes this focus on his Edge, but dials it up to eleven. Rubber soled boots and rubber lined gloves are a staple, allowing him ease of use of his power when transmuting into electrical energy, and a happy side effect of that being a resistance to electrokinetic villains. However, the outside of the gloves themselves are made of Kevlar, granting some fire resistance, should he transmute energy into heat during a punch.

His outfit is reminiscent of motocross armour, with the padding replaced with a non-Newtonian fluid, which will move with and around Blair, but harden instantly upon impact. The armour itself is black, with orange highlights. He wears a mask, with a large visor that covers his entire face, tinted black, allowing him to see out but nobody to see in, leaving the rest of his head exposed, if not for the black hood.

Personality: Blair is generally friendly and easy to get along with, but a touch naive and immature, given his age and lack of experience, as well as his own view of his skill with his Edge. He is not an intellectual, struggling with science and maths, despite the fact that a deeper understanding of science would allow him to use his Edge exponentially better. Instead, he focuses his training on the physical elements of his Edge, focusing on fitness, strength and agility, as well as quick reflexes. Because of this, he does not even attempt to use his power to its full potential. The basics, with the amount of diligence and effort he has put into them, allowed him to graduate near the top of his class, so instead of learning the more intricate parts of his power, he focuses on refining the basics even further. His firm grasp of these basics, and how well he can use them has caused him to grow a little arrogant when it comes to his Edge, and content with the extent of it. Additionally, Blair is a little idealistic, sometimes viewing his hero-work, a little too much through the rose colored glasses of the media’s portrayal of it.

History: Blair was born to a single mother in Southside, Castelia City. Whilst she was married, her husband, Blair’s father who was an active hero, was killed in the line of duty in 2035, during his wife’s pregnancy. Having only just opened his own hero agency, accruing debt in the process, his death had financial ramifications. With nobody willing to step up and lead the agency, it was quickly dissolved, with employees being paid out, and debts paid off, and despite being compensated financially for the loss of her husband, it wasn’t enough to cover the debts he had taken out to open his agency, effectively leaving his wife to pay them.

Whilst Blair was one of the last in his class, outside of those who didn’t altogether, to develop an Edge, once it was identified, the adults in his life realised how long it had been present, estimating his first evolution happening at age five. It was first noticed when he was seven, in the playground, a stray soccer ball from a nearby game, missed its mark, and was on a collision course with Blair’s face. Instinctively he held his hands up, and despite the ball being kicked by someone with a strength enhancing edge, a kick from whom should have broken Blair’s hand, the ball seemed to fall out of the air in the moment between making contact with his hand, and the force travelling through it and into his bones. When the ball was inspected, there was a charred and melted handprint. Rumors quickly circulated that Blair was Pyrokinetic, however no flames were visible to any onlookers, and even a professional level Pyrokinetic would struggle to produce flames with enough thrust to stop the ball the way it had been.

Given the anomaly that Blair’s Edge was, he was monitored closely by his mother and teachers. It was his mother who first put the pieces together, noticing his Edge being used subconsciously. She noticed that even during the most intense heatwaves, Blair was always unphased by the heat, and during any sort of sports, actually seemed to excel in the heat, which they later realised was him converting the heat energy into kinetic energy. She noticed that considering how often he played portable video games, he never seemed to run out of battery, converting nearby sound energy into electrical energy. Or the times during winter when the lights flickered. She had attributed it to the shoddy electrical grid of Southside, however during summer when the entire apartment building were using their air conditioners, the lights didn’t flicker. She realised that when he was cold, he was converting the light and electrical energy into heat.

Until Blair was eight, and had his second evolution, he had no conscious control of his Edge. It seemed purely to activate subconsciously, when there was some need to be met by it. If he was too warm, it could cool him down and vice-versa. If he wanted to keep playing video games without changing batteries, it would sustain them. And if he wanted to not have his face smashed in by a rogue soccer ball, it would remove the kinetic energy, converting it to heat instead, and removing all danger from it.

After having his second Evolution, Blair set his sights on becoming a hero, though given the lack of readily available funds, tuition in one of the premier hero programs was not affordable. Blair’s mother however, informed him of the scholarships that existed, and the need to earn one.

As such, Blair dedicated himself to training his Edge, learning quickly how to transmute kinetic, thermal, electric and sound energy. For an elementary school student, learning these concepts was extremely difficult, however once he understood them, they became the staple of his Edge. When it came time to choose a High School, Blair applied for the Blackstone High School Hero Prep Course, and managed to earn a scholarship.

The next four years were spent refining his Edge. Whilst he by this point had given up on learning of other forms of energy, seeing the time better invested in improving further in the four he knew, he focused on making transmutation second nature, not requiring the immense concentration it did originally, but instead, being able to perform the transmutations he practised with little more than a thought.

Additionally, outside of a few close friends sworn to secrecy, and the staff of Blackstone High, Blair kept his Edge a secret. Despite the massive potential it housed, with the current limitation of only being able to perform a single transmutation at a time, it presented a very clear weakness, and should he eventually become a pro hero, he didn’t want that weakness being known. As such, it was assumed he was a hybrid Pyro and Electrokinetic with enhanced speed and strength, when really, he was none of these, simply transmuting energy to gain similar effects.

Blair finished high school, graduating near the top of his class, and when it came time to find work, Blair was offered a job as a side-kick to Supernova, a professional hero with the ability to manipulate gravity, and unknown to Blair, one of the side-kicks at his father’s former agency.

Blair has been working for Supernova for a little over a year now, with Supernova pushing Blair to learn more about the extent of his Edge, though Blair not putting in the effort to do so, seeing honing his current skills further as more worth his time. When Castelia City became overrun by Miasma, Supernova, and his side-kick Rocket, remained in the city, going into hiding, and attempting to make contact with other heroes who have since gone underground. They know that if they were to simply fight crime the way they normally would, they would be overrun. Instead, they know their best bet would be to group with other heroes, and attempt to clear out a subsection of Castelia City, which could then act as their base of operations, to clear out the rest.

Edge Superpowers: Blair’s Edge is not publicised, given the versatile nature of it. Even when he was in Blackstone High School’s Hero Prep Course, only his closest friends and the staff knew the extent of his Edge. Given the fact that people tend to assume that he is a hybrid pyro and electrokinetic, with mildly enhanced speed and strength, he doesn’t correct them, however they are simply a result of his Edge at work.

Blair’s Edge is Energy Transmutation, the ability to transmute one form of energy into another. This however, is limited by his understanding of the way the energy is being manipulated (for example, if he wishes to convert sound energy into heat energy, he has to be able to visualise accurately the energy creating sound waves, instead causing atoms to vibrate, producing heat). Currently he can only transmute kinetic, thermal, electrical and sound energy easily enough that he can use his power in a fight. The possibilities of this power, however, are endless, as the biggest limiting factor for Blair is his own understanding. Theoretically he could convert the light and heat energy from the sun into chemical energy, and never have to eat again, or the gravitational energy into kinetic energy, and effectively leap tall buildings in a single bound. Theoretically, at the risk of himself, he could convert his own chemical energy of his cells into another type for a fight, or, if he were to really understand what he was doing, use one form of energy to split the atoms surrounding him, releasing more energy, to then convert into another form.

Outside of needing to understand the forms of energy he is transmuting and how to do that, the other limitations are the following:

-Blair can currently only perform one transmutation at a time. This effectively means that if he is throwing a punch that he is using his Edge to enhance (such as adding a thermal element to it), he cannot simultaneously convert the kinetic energy of someone punching him into sound energy and negate it like he normally would. Whilst in his training he has managed to, once or twice, perform two simultaneously, the focus and concentration required is immense, and in any sort of real world situation, that, as well as the chance of failure makes it unviable.

-Whilst Blair can use his Edge to somewhat mimic other Edges, like pyrokinesis, electrokinesis or enhanced strength or speed, his body is not suited to these powers. As such, he can still burn or electrocute himself, or, should he enhance a punch, miss his mark, and it hit a concrete wall, he will break his hand. He does what he can to mitigate these risks with his hero costume.

-The range of Blair’s Edge is complex. In order to use it, he must expend some of his own energy, and the amount is based on distance. Technically, Blair can only trigger his Edge on energy within a metre radius of himself, however, once triggered, if there is an uninterrupted stream of it, he can manipulate it to any distance, his Edge acting like a vacuum, though the greater that distance, the higher energy cost. For example, if Blair were wanting to convert the sound energy from a speaker playing music, he could trigger his edge anywhere that he can hear the sound coming from it. However, if he is a hundred metres away, the energy that is within reach is minimal, compared to if he were directly next to the speaker. He could still transmute the sound energy around him from the hundred metre position, however, it would use more of his own energy. However, if he were right next to the speaker, he could manipulate all the nearby sound energy, whilst only using a small amount as it is in reach.
Pokémon Team: Zeraora, Infernape, Lucario, Greninja, Chesnaught and Gallade
    NPC Sidekicks (optional):
Supernova- Pro Hero that Rocket works under
Supernova, real name Gerald Hartman, is the Pro-Hero, and leader of the Forces of Nature Agency. He has the ability to manipulate gravity. In his late 40s, he is much more grounded than Rocket, having seen just how nasty being a Pro-Hero can be, and is trying to help Rocket grow to understand that a little more, ideally without suffering the same loss he has.

Supernova was once a sidekick to Rocket’s father, who was killed in the line of duty.

Pretty much good to go, the likes and dislikes are optional but you're welcome to fill those in later!

Thanks for signing up and I'm curious to see what you do with this power. I have a feeling I'm in for quite a few surprises and tricks! xD

    Superhero Code Name: Florogale
    Name: Rosa Newpine
    Sex: Female
    Age: 25
Appearance: Rosa has long white hair which is often blowing around, and surprisingly tan skin for someone who spent most of their life in the city. She has light green eyes set behind thin eyebrows, a fairly pointy chin and a wide boyish mouth. Rosa is a little above average height for a woman (5'9" ?) and a generally flat wiry frame that looks like she would be good at running or cycling.

She likes branded streetwear and techhy cyberpunk styles because they seem cool and she can finally afford them! Often seen wearing cool or neutral colours, thick-soled sneakers, and layers. She's wearing all these because she's extremely light! It helps to have a bit of extra weight when a strong breeze can send you down the street. On a particularly windy day, she'd probably wear a backpack with a few lead weights and a beanie, just to keep everything under control.

Her superhero outfit takes that idea and sends it to the other extreme. White and green skintight underlayers form a base-jumping wingsuit, over the top of which is a showy fluffy minidress- somewhat like what an ice skater might wear. Ultralight armor padding on hips, calves, shoulders, and sometimes other pointy parts of her body that might bash into things. Surprisingly, no helmet! But a green headband keeps most of her hair out of her face.

    Personality:
Rosa is a typical Castellian, being a mix of all sorts of things! She's lively, focused and decisive. She doesn't like to wait very long, or linger without doing anything. When she was younger, she was considered impatient and reckless, but experience has given her the understanding of the need to stop and think- but when she's stressed, she's more likely to whip back into her old self.
She would be considered a little vain, except that she's often covered in bruises and her hair is blowing in her face. Because it's so hard to get a good photo she's more often just frustrated with how she looks. Rosa cares about what people think of her! She's very social and loves chatting, connecting and networking with others.

History: Rosa grew up in Blackstone District, in a set of apartments where everyone knew each other. It was the usual gossip of the week to find out which person on the block most recently developed their edge, and Rosa's story was no different. It certainly made the local gossip when a toddler blew off a balcony! Blowaway Blonde Baby! From that point onward she was the darling of the neighborhood- everyone always putting extra jackets on her, offering things and telling her how glad they were that she was alive. It was very supportive!

Her edge was seen as a strange dysfunction in school, when other people discovered their own amazing powers. Like many teenagers, there was a medium amount of bullying at this stage- people would sneak more bricks into her bag, or steal her weight belts on windy days. She eventually joined a crew of friends with equally strange edge, and they worked together to find ways to be useful to society. Working as a team, they managed to rescue people from a burning neighborhood building one day, and one summer when a ship sunk in Southtail Harbour, they also managed to pull everyone out safely. During that, she experienced an edge development and sprouted a bundle of flowers behind each ear.
From this point onwards "Florogale" and her friends continued to keep the southern neighborhoods safer, mingle and collaborate with other heroes, and find their own ways to fit into society. The original group of friends doesn't see each other daily anymore, but they each have agents and arrange meetups for lunch regularly. For the last three years, Florogale has been on loan to the nearby city Nimbasa, working in the air as rescue and control around the amusement park zones. Because of this, she's become quite popular and well-known as a friendly hero. When Miasma began in Castellia, she was an obvious choice to help, and received word to come back to her hometown.

Edge Superpowers: Rosa has two edges. Her first and most obvious edge is being ultralight- she can easy catch the breeze in some clothing and fly around like a glider or a one-girl windsurfer. This allows her to be highly maneuverable in the air, although not in control of it. Years of using this means she's quite adept at riding the natural currents of air, and hardly crashes into things anymore. Another weird thing about being ultralight means that she doesn't really sink at all in water- she can't walk on it, but she can't immerse herself in it very well either- she just pops straight up to the surface like a buoy or a lilo.
The secondary edge is when she somehow became more closely aligned with other ultralight particles floating around in the air; pollen!
The small bunches of flowers on her head make a lot of pollen particles, which can be itchy, sneezy, scented, brightly coloured, sticky, and blow up to 15,000 feet into the air or 400 miles out to sea! These can form the basis of a passive allergy attack, a signal plume, tracking mark, smokescreen, or scent-based attractant/repellent. Each pollen type has to be specifically thought about and generated before it is distributed, which is part of why Florogale is a little more thoughtful these days before rushing in.

Pokémon Team: - A male whimsicott with a cool pattern shaved into its fluff
    - A male Audino who is very friendly and compassionate
    - A female Unfezant, her ultra-agile flying buddy
    - A Lilligant which happily treats her like a sister

Likes: Icecream, water parks, thrill rides, indie clothing, green, tall buildings, hip hop dancing, big parties.
Dislikes: Sunset, heavy rain, eating fish, purple, ballet, blurry photos, nail art.

    Superhero Code Name: Pinpoint

    Name: Larry Lux

    Sex: Male

    Age: 27

Appearance: Black overcoat (collar is yellow), white shirt, black pants. He is 6' even with black hair that spikes more forward. One to wear formal clothing when needed (mostly durning events unless needed for his hero attire, but more set on keeping his Sygna gear close by. His Sygna gear for his hero outfit reacts to each of his abilities. Built to help support each abilities further. Using wires that have pins that latch into objects to help him move faster or to help setup traps.

Blue eyes, and more slender body set. In physical shape for any situation. He can keep moving in any given situation without feeling winded.

Personality: Larry is usually more easy going, but when a situation is more serious. He tends to get more serious. All in order to protect others and keeping himself and others safe. Protecting others more than himself. Even at the cost of overusing his abilities.

History: Born in Castelia City and currently still lives in Castelia City. Larry started his career here. Not starting out the best. Has made a name for himself. Using the powers of his family and his Pokemon. They worked together to help save many others. Only growing from there.

His family from generations before were only known as the "Ones that become Pokemon." Not many humans can become a Pokemon themselves. Even his grandmother. She can become Pokemon still. Even preferring it more to being human since she is able to move around more freely. Both his parents have these abilities. Father being Electric (Pikachu) and his mother's side being Psychic (Jirachi). Larry got both of these powers and have both powers affect him.

Larry decided to use these powers to help others. Since he understood these abilities himself over the years. Training these abilities to maximize their potential. Even though some abilities are not perfected. He has good control over his abilities enough to help others in need.

Edge Superpowers: Larry has 2 different superpowers. One basing off his father's electric power and his psychic abilities coming from his mothers side. These powers can even be support further using his Sygna suit's additions.

Electric: His electrical abilities are much like a Pikachu's. He can unleash electricity from his body. Even holding out his hand and releasing it. Even as much as a static shock. These powers can even be applied using other effects. Much like using it for magnetism. Making another object or person magnetized. The properties of magnetism can even be removed from an object he he can touch it.
Downside: If he overuses his electricity. Larry will transform into a Pikachu. This puts him in a more vulnerable state as he essentially IS a Pikachu in this state. Only able to use his electrical abilities on his father's side. He can even be captured in a Pokeball. He will transform back over time, but he needs enough room to change back. If he's trapped in a Pokeball or a small cage. He will not transform back until he has room to do so.

Psychic: His Psychic abilities are much like some Psychic Pokemon's abilities. He can use these powers to unleash psychic blasts, levitate objects and himself. Even teleport and fly around. Telepathy is able to be performed, but it's not been perfected yet. He can even use this power to predict certain things and see through wall. Much like his telepathy. His ability to see through walls is not perfect and most images are very obscured.
Downside: If he overuses his Psychic abilities without managing both his powers equally. He will transform into a Jirachi. Much like his electrical side where he becomes a Pikachu. He essentially IS a Jirachi while in this state. While a Jirachi the abilites he hasn't mastered as a human as perfected. Able to use his telepathy and predictions without fail. Though as a Jirachi is he continues to use his psychic abilities. He will begin to get extremely sleepy. Same effects apply. He cannot use his electrical abilites while in the Jirachi state and will transform back over time. Much like while he's a Pikachu. He can be captured while a Jirachi as well. If he has enough room. He will transform back. If there's not enough room. He will remain in this state until there is enough room to transform back.

Sygna Suit: He can use wires that come from a a device attached to his sleeve that shoots wire. Each with a pin at the end that latch into objects. Forcing the both to become strongly magnetized together. This can be pulled, released, or repelled at any given moment as long as it's within range of Larry.

Using his psychic abilities. These become more precise. Which is what helps to give him the nickname "Pinpoint."

Pokemon forms: While in his Pokemon forms. He has full access to their powers (i.e: Pikachu's Iron Tail), but can only speak like a Pokemon would. No one else can understand him while he's a Pikachu. While he's a Jirachi; the only way for someone to understand him is for him to use telepathy. Otherwise it comes across like a Jirachi would sound. This does however, give him access to smaller spaces only a Pokemon could fit. Even having the ability to speak with Pokemon as he can understand them while a Pokemon.

    Pokémon Team:
    Pikachu (M)
    Jirachi (M)
    Alolan Ninetale (F)
    Sceptile (M)

NPC Sidekicks (optional): (To edit soon)
