    Aeroplanes

How do you guys feel about flying? What's the longest flight you've been on?

I don't like it very much. I don't even mind being up in the sky, I just hate being stuck in a seat for so long!

I flew to Europe a couple years ago, which was an 11 hour flight followed by a 9 hour flight. Before that, I'd flown to the US which was a 16 hour flight. I spent most of the time trying to sleep. On one flight there was a screaming child nearby which is the worst. @_@

    Comatose's flight log

2010- Flew from Melbourne to GOld Coast and back. First flight. Nothing overly memorable.

    2011
Flew from Melbourne to LA. On a quantas A380, about two weeks after there were engine problems so it was slightly nerve wracking, but the entertainment system was awesome, so it was good for a 16 hour flight.
Flew from LA to Dallas (connecting flight)
Flew from Dallas to Orlando. (Connecting flight)
All of these flights, my younger brother got motionsick and vomited every time we landed.

Flew from Orlando to New York

Flew from New York to LA
    Flew from LA to Melbourne

Brother was still sick. When we arrived in orlando, I didn't sleep for days, because of Jet-lag and the day after I arrived, I found out a classmate passed away.

I arrived home at 8am Melbourne time, and managed to go to Youth Group that night, cause, dedication haha

2014 Flew to and from Gold Coast

I'm cool with flying; I've done it plenty of times without any issues~ ...Well, except for the ear popping thing. I know that can't be prevented, but I always hate when my ears end up popping XD

Longest flight I was on—and also the second last flight I was on—was coming from London, England to Newark, New Jersey. Took about eight hours iirc; I slept through most of it because I pulled an all-nighter so I would be able to vacate my room in time.

I'll soon be flying again, this time to New Mexico. For both flights I'll be stopping off at other airports and will need to catch another plane to complete the trip.

No problem with flying. The only real issue I have is flying in coach when I'm 6'4". I've done international travel and have been on planes for hours. Trying to sleep on a plane is impossible for me though.

And funny you mention Newark airport, Serena. That's usually the exact airport I use and holy crap, it's a zoo.

I'm having a hard time getting past the fact that you're calling them aeroplanes. My American brain is flipping out right now. XD

That aside, I love flying. See, I get carsick very easily, but I don't get air sick, so I prefer to fly because it's more comfortable. I usually fly somewhere in the country at least twice a year. I've been flying since I was a little baby so I don't really remember my first flight and it's impossible to give a fully accurate flight log. Just know that I fly a lot. I've flown internationally a few times though. I flew to the Bahamas when I was 5, so in 2003. In 2005, when I was 7, I flew to Mexico. Then in 2011, I flew to Germany and Italy. I can't remember the first two flights but I can remember the flight to Germany because it's thee longest flight I've ever been on and I couldn't sleep because there were four toddlers all screaming in harmony in the rows around me.

I'll probably be flying again soon, most likely to Phoenix, Arizona but no guarantee there and then possibly to New York for Spring Break.

I don't mind flying at all - I rather like it, actually! I've only flown once (or twice if you don't count round trip), from Charlotte, NC, to Dallas, TX, and then to Toronto, CA. I think the compression you feel when lifting off is a bit weird, but I never had any real problems. I couldn't really sleep, though, because it wasn't exactly easy to relax in those seats, and I don't feel comfortable sleeping in "the open," lol.

In all honestly I've only been in a plane 4 times (for a round trip basically). It was from Georgia to New York City (which if you don't count the time spent on the stop in between) it was about 2-3 1/2 hours trip. Only plane it didn't like was any plane that just has the propellers (one thing about me is my hearing is super sensitive...I guess it's to make up for my bad eyesight). So sitting right next to a loud propeller on that plane the last flight suuuuuuuucked lol for a 1 1/2 hour flight.

I love flying though...and one day will take that long 15 hour flight to Japan =)

    The time is upon us...

I've flown only twice in my life, and that was when I was 7 years old. San Francisco to Manila with a stopover in Tokyo, then Manila back to San Francisco (with yet another stopover in Tokyo). 12 hours one way, 12 hours the other way, not counting time spent waiting to change flights at Narita International Airport.

I thought this was a topic about one's favourite aeroplanes, in which case I will state my admiration of the AV-8B Harrier II, F-14 Tomcat, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-22 Raptor, SR-71 Blackbird, MiG-31 Foxhound, and Su-27 Flanker.
