Hop Into Pokémon GO This February


February is always a busy month for Pokémon, and this year is no exception.

February is Pokémon month for the franchise. With the 26th anniversary fast approaching, all of the plans set forth by The Pokémon Company will soon be put into motion. And Pokemon GO is no exception. Several Legendary Pokémon will be making an appearance, along side a new Community Day, and who can forget The Pokémon GO Tour. Read on to find out everything you need to know so you don’t miss any of the action.

Monthly Updates

Research Breakthrough
From now until March 1st, Espurr will be featured for collecting seven Research Breakthrough stamps. And for the first time ever, the Restraint Pokémon, can be shiny. Will you be lucky enough to find one? Good Luck!

One PokéCoin Bundle
As always, the in-game shop will feature a bundle every Monday that contains a Remote Raid Pass along side other goodies to help you on your journey. Remember if you have three Remote Raid passes in your inventory, you will not be able to claim any more. Be sure to use those passes before the next bundle rolls around so you don’t miss out on the almost free Remote Raid Pass.

SpotLight Hours
Every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, certain Pokémon will spawn more frequently. Much more frequently. These Spotlight hours even feature special bonuses. Below is what you can expect to find during Spotlight hour each week. And as always, any Pokémon denoted with * indicates that it can be shiny!

Featured In Raids

Raids are every rotating and February is no different. Blink and you may miss the one you want. Let’s find out what’s happening at a Gym near you.

Five-Star Raids

Pokemon GO Tour Johto
On February 26 from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. the following Pokémon can be found at Five-Star Raids: Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh. This will be to celebrate the Pokemon GO Tour Event. Speed Forme Deoxys will be available before and after the noted time frame.

Mega Raids

Raid Hours
Every Wednesday in January from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, gyms around you will feature Five-Star Raid battles. Coordinate with friends and take down some fearsome Raid Bosses together.

February Community Day

As we touched on earlier, Hoppip will be the featured Pokémon for February Community Day. This will take place on Saturday February 12. If you missed the announcement, or need a refresher on it, you can check it out right now.

Upcoming events

Time to stock up on Pokéballs and free up some storage space ahead of Go Tour: Johto. Also be sure to catch any of those shiny Raid Bosses you may be missing. There is no better time, than the month of love.
