According to Pokebeach, a new Pokémon Center will open in Kyoto, with Ho-oh as the store’s mascot.
The choice of the mascot may have some historical significance, as Kyoto has two shrines with Birds adorning both shrines at the top.
This will be the Tenth Pokémon Center to open, the rest are in Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Yokohama, Osaka, Tohoku, and Tokyo Bay.
