It is Pokemon Podcast Month and we got some exclusive content from your favorite Pokemon podcasters! From GO, TCG, talk, to tabletop and beyond! We have sent out the classic Podcasters Questionnaire to see what your favorite Pokemon podcasters have to say about podcasting!
And today we have….Chase and Cat from Pokémon: Aftermath to talk about podcasting and everything in between!
So what does the Pokémon: Aftermath have to say about…
What type of podcast do you have? Why do you make the type of podcast that you make?
What drew you to the Pokemon franchise?
Cat: I know with me, it started with Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl. I got it on Christmas and was obsessed. Putting hundreds of hours in it (and not even figuring out how to get to the last gym for about 6 months. lol) Sure, I’ve watched the show before, but getting the games was something special. After that an obsession sorta happened. I’ve played every game, collect cards, and have even watched most of the series. Now, combined with my love of DnD, formed this! When Chase introduced us to his idea of Pokemon: Aftermath, I jumped on it asap. And I’m glad I did, it’s been SO much fun. Overall, It’s been a journey, filled with ups and downs. However, the love of Pokémon has never gone away. And probably never will. |
What inspired you to podcast?
As far as inspiration goes, listening to The Roaring Trainer’s was a massive inspiration, as is apparent in Arc 1 of our game. Their story really inspired me to want to put out something that people could enjoy! |
What keeps you going when it comes to podcasting and Pokemon?
What kind of feeling do you wish your listeners to have when listening to your podcast?
What is the hardest part when it comes to podcasting?
What has been the best Podcast moment you have had?
If you can suggest an episode of your podcast to a new listener, which episode would it be? Why?
Well, our first 4 episodes are all character introduction, which are not totally necessary to understand the plot. They may help you get to know the character a bit more and give you some backstory on before they all came together as a group, but they all have some audio issues, as like I said previously, at that point we hadn’t planned to podcast yet so we were just recording for our notes so we could listen back to the sessions. Episode 5 is were I usually recommend people start, as that is the start of Arc 1 and where all the players come together for the first time. The audio is a bit better and it only improves from there! |
I have started to listening to Pokemon: Aftermath but I am looking forward to what’s to come! It has been a fun listen so far.
Thank you for Chase and Cat from Pokémon: Aftermath for answering our questions. We hope that you give Pokémon: Aftermath a listen if you haven’t already. If you are a listener then let us know!
Signing off! Until next time!
