Who is your favorite female companion that has traveled with Ash?
That is the question a recent poll in Japan asked. After all, Ash has had several friends over his twenty years of going from region to region. There has to be some favorites when it comes to Ash’s female friends.

- Iris (Pokemon Black & White)
- Lana (Pokemon Sun & Moon)
- Chloe (Pokemon Journeys)
- May (Pokemon Advance)
- Lillie (Pokemon Sun & Moon)
- Misty (Pokemon)
- Dawn (Pokemon Diamond & Pearl)
- Serena (Pokemon XY&Z)
The order is rather interesting when it came to who made it to the top. I would think Misty would be higher. At least she made it into the top three.
Meanwhile, the majority of the girls from Alola didn’t make it past number five. Lillie did make it to number four. That isn’t surprising at how much of a fan favorite she is thanks to her arc in the anime and games.
Dawn and Serena took the top two spots. They had less then thirty vote difference to cement their spot on the list. Both of these girls did receive some heavy arcs that made them the focus and develop them into well rounded characters. It is no wonder that they became some fan favorite characters.
