Are you ready to donate for a good cause and watch some Pokemon Sun and Moon gameplay?

TheSpeedGamers are at it again with another marathon for a cause! This time they are playing Pokemon Sun and Moon to help raise money for BuildOn. With your donation, you will help build a school in West Africa for those who are in need.

It is the season of giving so why not give and watch some guys play some Pokemon Sun and Moon? TheSpeedGamers have helped so many people with their speed runs in the past. So how about you go in and help them with this one!

Details about the speed run for TheSpeedGamers’s marathon can be found below. The Pokemon Sun and Moon marathon starts today at 6pm (US Central). It will last 72 hours but can go on longer with enough donations. You can watch it on www.twitch.tv/thespeedgamers.

Beginning on December 16th at 6pm Central US, we will be live streaming a play through of Pokemon Sun and Moon on www.twitch.tv/thespeedgamers to raise money for buildOn (http://www.buildOn.org/) . We will be fundraising to help build a school in Mali, West Africa. You can watch the event around the clock and chat with the participants and other viewers.

The marathon is scheduled to last 72 hours but with donation achievements viewers can unlock another 24 hours of marathon time, additional Pokemon games and game play changes. This will mark our 39thmarathon since our inception in 2008 . Our community has raised over $700,000 for various causes. We look forward to seeing you in the chat!

buildOn’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations through service and education.For 25 years, buildOn has partnered with local governments and mobilized rural villages in some of the poorest countries on the planet to build more than 1,000 schools in Burkina Faso, Haiti, Malawi, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Senegal. We also partner with high schools in underserved communities in six U.S. cities to empower students to remain engaged in school and to positively contribute to their communities through community service and service learning. To date, buildOn students have contributed nearly 1.8 million hours of service to address the most pressing needs in their communities.
