With the new CoroCoro out, a plethora of new information is out. New Pokemon, type revealing and even glimpses into the possible theme of the game.
Xerneas is confirmed to be a Fairy type Pokemon and known as the Life Pokemon. It’s ability is Fairy Aura, which powers up Fairy-type moves. Its signature move appears to be called Geo Control.
Yveltal is confirmed to be a Dark/Flying-type Pokemon. It’s ability is Dark Aura, which powers up Dark-type moves. It’s signature move is known as Death Wing.
There appears to be a creation/destruction theme. This could be seen on what Pokemon they area and their typing, so it will be really interesting to see what they have regarding the storyline. Meanwhile, we have some more new Pokemon to reveal.
The evolution of Pancham, Goronda, has been revealed. It is a Fighting/Dark-type Pokemon.
It is known as the Aggressive Pokemon. While it has a wild temperament, it won’t allow anyone to bully the weak. It appears to have a warm heart. It has Iron fist as an ability, as well as Mold Breaker. It can learn Hammer Arm. It is said to evolve by a new method.
Maika and Karamanero are two new Psychic/Dark-type Pokemon. They have the abilities Suction Cup or Contrary. They are known as the Rotation Pokemon and the Reversal Pokemon respectively. “By switching on and off the lights on the luminous body above its eyes, it deceives its opponent.” It evolves by an unknown method. They can learn a new move called Turn Over, which reverses all stat changes.
It has been rumored that a Pokémon will evolve by holding the 3DS upside down during the process. Based on the information provided, such as them being the Rotation and Reversal pokémon as well as Karamanero being an upside-down squid, this could be Maika’s way of evolving. These Pokemon’s name may be Inkay and Malimar in English.
Two new Pokemon are also confirmed to be version-exclusives.
Shushupu is a new Pokemon for Pokemon Y. It is known as the Perfume Pokemon. “It releases special scents from its body to mesmerize its opponent.” It’s ability is Healer, and it can learn Aromatherapy.
Peruppafu is also a new Fairy-type Pokemon. It is known as the Cotton Candy Pokemon. It has a new ability called Sweet Veil, which prevents allies from falling asleep. It can learn the new move Drain Kiss. It is exclusive to Pokemon X.
Peruppafu and Clauncher are confirmed be exclusive in Pokemon X, while Shushupu and Skrelp are exclusive to Y.
Also pictured here are two new Gym Leaders. The one with the robotic arms is known as Shitoron. The other leader is known as Zakuro. Their type specialties are not known.
Honedge will have the ability No Guard as well as being a Steel/Ghost-type, which was confirmed earlier this month.
The new Professor, known as Professor Platane, is a Professor who will occasionally battle you in X and Y. Not much else is known about him.
The new evil organization has also been revealed. Team Flare is shown here. Their primary goal is to make money.
Pictured here, below some starter art, are new features for the Player Search System (PSS).
- HoloCaster – a feature which gives you new information on the Global Link without you having to log on.
- Happy Sign – Lets you know what your friends are feeling and what their actions are.
- O Power – Similar to Pass Power in BW, you can receive this from other players.
- Miracle Trade – Not much is known about this, but it is assured that it will provide a “happy trade”.
