VGC is going to see changes for Worlds next year!
This year’s World Championships had several announcements. Though those who battle for glory in the Pokemon VGC will see some changes for the Pokemon World Championships in 2026.
That is because Pokemon Champions will be used for next year’s World Championships for the VGC.
Other Information Regarding Pokemon Champions
Other bits of information regarding Pokemon Champions was revealed at the Closing Ceremony for Worlds 2025. The first bit of information was that it was confirmed that Mega Evolution will be in Pokemon Champions. Also that it will be the focus for the first set of rules once Pokemon Champions is release.
Also, the Omni Ring will be used in Pokemon Champions. This item will be used by players to active battle mechanics such as Mega Evolution, Z-Moves and Terastallisation.
No release date for Pokemon Champion has been announced.
