Is it me or the sales are when Steam actually makes even more money?
Thankfully, I didn't buy anything or I would have no money for the upcoming consoles.

XD I agree with you on that/confirm your question. EVERYONE buys things, so even though the prices are ridiculously low, they probably DO still make more money than usual. Simply because of the number of people who spend money. xD
