So the latest expansion of Civilization V is out!

Ah Civ 5! Kept me entertained for ages.

No, I don't have it. I gave up on Civ 5 as my PC was too slow.

However I have plans! On Australia we do something called schoolies, where the norm is that when you finish year 12 exams, yoga out and party for a week straight. Me and some mates are gonna have a week long gaming marathon, one of those games being civ V.

I got it on pre-release a few days before it came out, but never actually got around to playing it properly yet. Which is unlike me, as I've played the original and G&K so much. I need to get back into it.

I do have a bunch of friends at uni though who all play, so I imagine we'll have multiplayer games again when I go back.

I've just gotten BNW. On that note, I've just gotten Civ V in general (as well as most of it's DLC, if not literally all of it). My first game (which will be played on either the lowest or second-lowest difficulty setting) will probably be rife with mind crushing, beyond all expectations failure. I've at least seen some people play it on YouTube...I question how good they really are, though. Either way, here's to not having my settler captured by barbarians to create the empire of Barbaria in the first five turns (like one of those people I mentioned), or other such headdesk-initiating disasters.

Not like I'd be part of that really, as I'm on GMT+1... But I still think it would be a neat idea.
