    Invest it.
    Invest it.
    Invest it.
    Invest it.
    Buy a normal house.

You bet I would be all over stock market with that stuff. I would not spend like a nutty nutcase. I would divide my winnings by 65, the number of years I have left until I'm 100 years old. So say I won 20 mil, I would divide that by 65 and that comes out to be $397,692 per year. That's my set yearly allowance. I mean that's PLENTY to have some fun with, but I wouldn't go buying super mansions in Hawaii with more exotic cars than fingers and toes.

I wouldn't need to work a full time job, but I'd still like to do something constructive and not just veg. I'd probably open up a fun kind of business as well.

    20 mil?
    Pay off my parents mortgages
Buy a house (not a mansion but a decent house, with a big garage...)
A bunch of old cars to fix up. (FC and FD RX7s, Mazda RX3, S15 Sylvia, AE86 Toyota Sprinter Trueno, Toyota Supra among others)
    Not sure what else.

Put at least a half of it into a savings account (for future investment/emergencies)
Send my grandparents on a nice holiday
Donate a significant proportion of it to mental health charities
    Completely redecorate my grandparents' house
    Spend a month in Japan

That's actually pretty wise! $400,000 is MORE than enough as a yearly allowance. You can do quite a lot with that.

I'd definitely take care of my parents first too. I'd probably buy the both of them a home (they're separated) and give them money as well.

I've never been to Japan! I'd love to visit.

Ok, seriously though, I'd probably give a large chunk to my parents so they can renovate the unusable garage into an art studio.
Look into buying an old pub to create my dream card shop.
Donate a lot to animal charities.
And go on a trip to japan if there's any left.

So yeah, I don't think I'd have it for very long.

Get a new house that I would love and help those that really need it and invest the rest.

@Shruikan THAT WAS SO GOOD. XD I loved it.

As for me, I have no clue what I'd do with it. Save some, spend some, gift some, donate some, invest some.

That's generally what I would do, on top of a luxurious vacation.

    1. Pay off the lottery ticket people to not release my name and picture to the public.
    2. Hire bodyguards to protect me from the baddies who find me, regardless, and want to kill me for my money.

    5. Tell the baddies who find me, regardless, and want to kill me for my money that I spent it all on protection and have none left--and also fire the incompetent bodyguards.

    I'm just a paranoid person.
