RPGs, definitely. They have a whole lot more variety than JRPGs for me.

Does Monster Hunter count as a genre?
If not, adventure/rpg games are fun. That and a good puzzle/action game.
Pretty much any open world RPG/adventure game I love, especially ones in medieval and/or fantasy settings. I do delve into shooters and strategy games from time to time too though.
Platformers are definitely the games I enjoy the most, especially if there's some degree of freedom in how you complete levels or progress through the story. Though I hadn't played it for years, replaying the Spyro trilogy made me realise just how much of the content in those appeals to the stuff I like in games; collecting, non-linearity, not taking itself too seriously, and so on. I like Ratchet and Clank for similar reasons, which makes sense because it's Insomniac's successor to Spyro. The Dreamcast Era Sonic games, Crash and unsurprisingly Mario are also some of the platformers I enjoy the most. It's a genre that seems to be coming back as well, which has me very excited for the future. :D

Spoiler:
I only really play JPRGs and Japanese idol games, really. No other types of video games interest me whatsoever.
