Check out all the new arrivals to Pokémon Café Mix!

Following our article from last week, a bunch of new updates have come to Pokémon Café Mix. From new mechanics to new Pokémon being included in the game, let’s break it all down.
New Pokémon
With the Scorbunny event set to end tomorrow, the next special customer event is set to begin on July 15. Through July 29th, Sobble will start to appear! Once you encounter it, you’ll be able to invite it to parties and recruit it as staff member. Sobble has the ability to clear Pokémon icons and gimmicks below in, similar to Snubble! This event no doubt is meant to coincide with Goh’s recent acquisition of a Sobble in Pokémon Journeys over in Japan, so if you’re looking to add this little water type to your staff, be sure to grab it while you can!

Following the update last week, Lucario has officially debuted in Pokémon Café Mix. You are now able to start recruiting Lucario for your café staff after order 130. Lucario has a unique gimmick that clears icons in a plus sign shape. Lucario’s specialty is also sweets which works well with one of the new dishes that was introduced alongside this update.
Swap Shop

After players have completed all the regular orders available in the game, in order to allow for further play, Master Café mode is temporarily unlocked until new stages are added. This mode has you go through the previous orders as before but with different puzzles and obstacles with an increased difficulty. While this mode has been available since the release of the game, the new Swap Shop is an addition to the Master Café mode.
Players now earn stars as they play through the stages and these stars will correlate to the newly introduced Master Points. These points can be used in the Swap Shop to obtain various items and even unlock new characters. Currently there are two items available, a Skill plus for 40 points and a Tasty Tart for 50 points. In addition, the mysterious Super Chef Pikachu and Super Chef Eevee are both available for 180 points each. Not much is known about these two Pokémon because of how difficult it is to obtain them. It is also presumed that they may be cycled out in the future so be sure to strive for them while you can!
New Offerings and Gimmicks

Along with new Pokémon being introduced, two new dishes are now being offered. Rainbow Oricorio Popcorn is a small plate dish that relies on the newly introduced Popcorn gimmick. Unlocked at Stage 121, popcorn requires clearing icons next to them 3 times sequentially or use of a skill or megaphone to clear.
The second new dish is Decorated Alcremie Cupcakes. With it comes the newly introduced mechanic, Whipped Cream Dispensers. When an icon is cleared by it or it is hit by a skill or megaphone, it releases a Whipped Cream into the play area. Players then need to strategize hitting the dispensers enough times to knock out the needed amount of Whipper Cream for the level. The newly added Lucario would likely be very beneficial with this dish.
Other Updates
The special gift of golden acorns to players who completed certain amount of orders before the update last week is now being distributed. The amount you get varies based on how many orders you had completed before Tuesday last week.

  • 20 Orders = 500 Golden Acorns
  • 40 Orders = 1500 Golden Acorns
  • 60 Orders = 3000 Golden Acorns
  • 80 Orders = 4500 Golden Acorns
  • 100 Orders = 7000 Golden Acorns

Special customer events now have challenge boards that players can clear to get additional bonuses. For example, in Scorbunny’s event, players could get 300 Golden Acorns or a Leader’s Whistle. It’s not known at this time what Sobble’s challenges will entail, but it’s nice to have more ways to obtain Golden Acorns.
So with so much to do and so much to come, order up, trainers!
