    Digimon: X Reset [SU/DS]

    MISSION BRIEFING

"After the chaos and destruction that the X-Program caused, those who were left in the tatters of their world belonged to either two camps: Those who believed the Digital World would repair itself, and those who believed that they had witnessed the apocalypse, and that they were merely accidental survivors.

However, none of the denizens of the Digital World really counted on the involvement of the humans: When the X-Program, had run its course, it had crossed over into the realms of the Internet, and caused nigh-on irreparable damage: So, to make sure the network-reliant humans still had their Blogs and Forums and Online-Dating sites, the remains of the Internet, and the remains of the Digital World were united, after just six months of frantic work.

Of course, such a quick fix was nowhere near perfect: many digimon grew aggressive and crossed over into the Internet, causing havoc in the unprepared network.

So, it was decided: If firewalls and antivirus systems wouldn't work (they'd optimise them to stop one species, and a new species would appear. They'd adapt them to deal with both, and they weren't so effective when only one appeared), they'd need to have a more immediate method to deal with them.

This was the advent of the great walled city (officially named 'RX9-42', but generally termed by its citizens as the '7th Circle', or occasionally just 'Circle'), which became filled with many garrisons of humans and their digimon partners: They fought against hostile digimon who sought to gain access to the human world, or even just approached the city with seemingly hostile intentions.

The city has been a permanent installment in the barren wasteland that is the Digital World, for over three years: Finally, finally they have agreed to send out a small reconnaissance team, to see what, if anything, lies beyond the wastes, and to help plant the seeds for new life, should they believe such a thing is possible.

This, of course, is where you people come in. I won't apologise for the long and boring history lecture - Certainly, it was necessary. The bottom line is that you have been chosen for this mission - You and your partners. Whether you accept or not, is up to you. You can leave now, if the prospect scares you, but the bottom line is, we can't afford to send anybody else: If you choose to stay, there'll be an empty space on the team roster."

--You are permitted to use an image for appearance, as well as a description, but please link to images, or put the images in spoiler tags, or else use small sprites. if you do use sprites, make sure they match each other. --There is no need to state your digimon's Digivolution line. However, it must stick to the digimon's method of Digivolution, and once you have digivolved, the form you choose is permanent. You cannot choose to 'redo' a Digivolution.
--You may create your own Digivolutions, however, the digimon to which they are applied may not Digivolve, by any method, to a form higher than the level of the custom digimon. These must be applied for separately from your main character application, and must feature a name, at least one paragraph (consisting of at least seven sentences) for appearance, and at least two paragraphs detailing powers and abilities of your custom digimon. You should also include the digimon it is digivolving from, and the level it is at (Rookie, Champion, etc)

--Do not kill or injure characters without permission from the player - This goes for NPCs, too.
--Even if you do get permission from the player, do not kill or injure other characters without good reason.
--Make sure your posts are sufficiently long to help advance the plot going on. And, of course, don't be afraid to propose a new direction if it fits how your character would react to certain situations: Some of the best roleplay is found via player-created situations, sometimes!
