Magequest - A Text-and-Image Adventure

The ROGUE takes a fine gander at the MAP OF THE ISLAND COAST. It is one of the many maps that the ROGUE has drawn to keep track of the ISLAND he is on. Some people call his drawings crude and crappy... But he replies that they're too cool for them to understand. HE'S too cool for them to understand.

The map details the SOUTHWESTERN TIP OF THE ISLAND, which sports several distinct features: a SANDY BEACH WALLED OFF BY LARGE ROCKS, and a JUNGLE THAT COVERS THE MAJORITY OF THE SOUTHER PART OF THE ISLAND. The ROGUE knows that another of his SECRET HIDEOUTS is located past the JUNGLE, inside a CAVE, to be precise.

What will the ROGUE do?

Rouge: Recall any particular abilities or skills, including supernatural powers (if any).

Mage: CLIMB THE STAIRS!

(The Inevitable) Warrior: Reveal yourself.

THE ROGUE uses a powerful spell that increases the borders of the panel! Each panel is now 300p, instead of 150p! ...THE ROGUE doesn't see much of a point to it, but hey.


Anyway, THE ROGUE cannot be the MAGE, as he is currently busy introducing the ROGUE! THE ROGUE can, however, introduce this plucky little fellow! Top of the morning, to you, he says politely.

Mage: Un-introduce the Rouge...and CLIMB THE STAIRS!

After a whole mess of foreshadowing, introducing, and un-introducing, the MAGE finally reaches the top of the stairs. It seems he had been climbing the stairs the WHOLE TIME! But enough of that.

THE MAGE stands in front of a WIZARD DOOR. You can tell it is a WIZARD DOOR because of the magical rune that will probably have no significance later on that is emblazoned on its enchanted oak wood. The MAGE can hear faints sounds in the door. He is nervous, hyped, and freaking out all in one!

Mage: Open the door. You've got an appointment to make.

OH YEAH HE DOES



Huh? What's this? It seems the ARCHMAGE was preoccupied with a SHADOWY FELON. It looks like they were in the middle of striking a deal, and THE MAGE's barging in interrupted it. The SHADOWY FELON gives you an annoyed glare, whilst the ARCHMAGE calmly stares.

What will he do now?

Tazz, I've been meaning to ask you... What's up with your absence from the LAST POSTER WINS? Is it modly duties or something?

((Meh, I just got bored after Max barged in. He had good reason to get involved in it, that I won't deny at all...Still kind of killed the impromptu RP going on in LPW, though, which is a right shame.))

Mage: Remember to knock next time. For now, apologize for interrupting the Archmage's conversation and try to not catch the felon in the eye.
