It wasn't specifically banned in the rules, and I think we were allowed to on PE2K. I don't see what the harm could be allowing a male to win best female or vise versa. :P

The difference is Forum Staff vs. Site Staff is Moderators vs. Editors and Staff. Site Designers like Eric, Gemma, and myself account for both. Just as well, Sarah generally oversees the Forum, while Ray oversees the Site.

For more emphasis: Dragon Master Mike is a Site Writer, Caite-Chan is a Senior Editor. They're primarily Site Staff. While Saraibre Ryu and Grassy_Aggron are Moderators, and are primarily Forum Staff.

Also, lol that battle. That battle was glorius. I love how like, half of PXR was there watching. I'm just watching it though and thinking "Oh my god, why was every other sentence out of my mouth so stupid?"

Submission: Just when I thought I was safe from Pika-Flu...I think the icing on the cake here was who actually got the nuke.

I'd also put THE WHOLE OF LPW8 and the ongoing LPW9, but that's hideously huge and I'd doubt it would really work. I considered Operation Atlas Shrugged Too Much as well, but that was a bit divisive due to those rules blunders. Being in Team Aqua was a close second.
