Taking the Mysterious Flame Incubator to Axlin Chemicals for that Purple Flame, since we don't have both Nhils Key Items yet... Hm, suppose that might be the flame for Nhils in the first place! Either way, my full healths will make this decent for me anyways. Also, I'd like to curse out Hope for getting hisself abducted... AGAIN. And I think that Bless should come with me like always - only place I won't let her follow me is into a Stalker Hideout.

You and Bless head back to the Axlin Chemicals factory with the Mysterious Flame Incubator in your paws. As you wonder what secrets this fire holds, you arrive before the Purple Flame Furnace, steeling yourself for the otherworldly presences that surround it.

You then proceed to gather the ghostly flame into the incubator, and it seems like this special incubator device is the only kind of relic capable of containing this strange otherworldly fire. Once the fire within the Mysterious Incubator is now contained, you close the furnace and step away.

With the gathering complete, you and Bless then head back to Emissary base to prepare for tomorrow's tasks.

The outside off sand wood apartments.

You decide to search the outside grounds of the Sandwoods Apartments, wondering if there's anything unusual going on out here. While it is dark outside during this time of night, you're still able to check for anything unusual with your flashlight and headlamp.

It seems the exterior of the building is pretty well-kept and doesn't seem all that old, either. Meanwhile, whoever is taking care of the grounds seems to be doing a pretty good job making sure the area stays spotless and the trash is collected at a reasonable time. It's also quiet around here as well and seems like a peaceful and cozy place to live.

When you get to the back of the building, you sense a slight trace of Stalker presence coming from a somewhat freshly-dug hole that has been recently covered up. You decide to dig up whatever someone was trying to hide here, and you come across a key. However, when you look it over, it reveals that it was originally for Apartment #8, which was already picked into and was later revealed to be one of Vendy's outposts. You feel it's not necessary to take with you after all.

Item [Apartment #8 Key] was found but deemed unnecessary to collect.

You check out the rest of the building, but nothing else stands out as being strange or unusual from the outside. And with that, you realize you and the Emissaries have search out everything in town.

You then head back to base and prepare for what the morning will bring.

Trembling from the suicidal trauma that you were totally not at all expecting from Vadi, you lie in bed tonight, trying to shut your eyes though the voices are still haunting your memories and make it difficult to not break out into a sweat out of pure, raw fear.

You've washed up and removed those strange and unholy markings on your body, as well as clean your self-inflicted wounds, but it's the shadows that seem to harass you and the spidery whispers that bother you the most. Still, you find just trying to sleep begins the process of trying to drive them away. During a night you were almost certain would be plagued by nightmares and sleepwalking, you find you're able to get the peaceful sleep you need tonight.

Hope has recovered 1 Health and 1 Sanity.

When you awake, you still feel you have a ways to go before you can fully recover, but at least you're making headway and there's better days to come in due time.

#36 Cashi the Jumpluff has been murdered by the Stalkers.

Location: Inside (29) Dern's Delicatessen
Cause of Death: Violent bodily destruction

"THIS AGAIN!?" Briteria exclaimed at the hideous and gruesome mess that used to be Cashi the Jumpluff.

"Overkill," Sten sighed. "Overkill... once more. What the hell."

Briteria knew without a doubt, there was no way Dern's Delicatessen would be opening tomorrow morning with Cashi's remains scattered and splattered all over the floor, walls, tables, and the counter. Many of the regulars that come each day would be horrified for life if they saw it.

"Obviously this was done by some... heavy, blunt weapon," Jeb stated, feeling a bit queasy as it was his first time seeing one of Overkill's murders firsthand.

"It's that damn bastard Yandil!" Sten exclaimed. "How does he keep slipping past everyone each time!?"

"I'm not sure," Jeb muttered, looking distraught. "Those newcomers... they seem to have something to stop Stalkers. They put an end to Bloodwish, RttnCrps, Karrasin, and OBSESS, but what's stopping them from taking down this guy?"

"I don't know..." Britera sighed. "Personally, I've tried to pursue him and I've even tried to arrest him, but he runs away, sneaks behind the corner, and he's just gone as soon as I get there. I stopped giving a damn about due process a while ago and I still can't bring him down."

But she heard the reports. She had already talked to some of the child witnesses and innocent bystanders at both the medical center and ApexMart. Stalkers were not to be underestimated, and the true nature of the Enthrallers was beyond anything any of them had ever imagined.

"Maybe they don't believe us..." Jeb muttered, looking doubtful.

"I don't know what it is, but I hope to Arceus it's not that," Britera sighed. "Still, whatever it is, we'd better get this cleaned up fast. You never get used to this kind of massacre. And... I think it's your turn to call the next of kin, Jeb."

"Right," Jeb muttered, nodding as he knew that was the deal about being part of this investigation team. "I really don't think Cashi's family over in Tanport is going to enjoy hearing this."

"Just keep it vague," Sten recommended. "Spare them the gruesome details. And don't tell them to come over to identify the body. They're not going to be able to talk anyway if they see she's been reduced to something that looks like a bloody mashed potato."

Jeb still felt it was disgusting any Pokémon could be deranged enough to do this, but he knew this was the savage nightmare they were dealing with. It was unlike anything he had ever seen. Something that thwarted the police, and even killed the Chief of Southwarren Police. That would not stop at anything until they were dead, or everyone else was dead.

Despite all that was going on, it was still hard to tell who was winning in the end...
