    I'm curious
You head back to the Sunspot Apartment Tower, locating the cache that was discovered earlier. From what you can tell, this was set up recently and was only meant to be used as a temporary locker. It also seems like security for it wasn't all that critical so they used something quick.

You find the Teal Type lock and use a Water Gun attack. The water pressure disengages the locking mechanism and allows you to open the metallic cache container.

You reach inside and you discover a fresh Pecha Berry has been stashed away in here. You take it with you.

Item [Pecha Berry] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You then decide to head back to base with your findings.

Search: (7b) North - Sports and recreational activity area
At night, while most parks in the city seem a bit eerie, Greendash seems like the least likely to be an issue. As a result, you don't feel that much anxiety while going through the north area, although the thought that you were told a missing severed hand was found here does make it slightly more unnerving.

As you walk through the park, you see a lot of the sports fields and recreational areas that seem to be in good condition, although all of them are empty at this hour. It also seems like most of them haven't been used that recently, but from what you can see, not to many other Pokémon are around even walking or flying. You can definitely see why Stalkers use this as a golden opportunity to strike with virtually no one to witness their deadly attacks.

You decide to follow Torqueal's lead and search under the bleachers that are around. Using your headlamp, you come across many lost items, bottles, wrappers, and the like, but you eventually find what Torqueal mentioned about earlier.

Secured in a plastic bag tucked away by one of the metallic support rails, you find what could easily be mistaken for a bagged glove, but it's definitely more than that. You find a severed hand inside, and you identify it as being the hand of a Poliwrath. As you look around, you notice there's no other signs of the rest of the body, and you can only guess what happened to it.

Item [Severed Poliwrath Hand] has been added to the Team Inventory.

Something you notice in addition to all this is the plastic bag the hand is preserved in seems to be a medical preservation bag. It clues you in that whoever had planted this here for safe keeping must have had access to these types of bags in either a medical center or medical research facility. It also confirms that one of the Stalkers could very well be a doctor, researcher, or medical professional. As you take an additional look at the hand, it definitely seems like it was amputated cleanly and not violently. It also seems to imply the Pokémon that did this had access to the necessary tools to do this, thus reinforcing this observation.

Just as a precaution, you search the rest of the area to see if you can find any other trace of evidence or the remainder of the Poliwrath's body, but there doesn't seem to be anything else to recover. You decide to then head back to base with your findings.

You explain you want to serve as a sentry bodyguard for the night, as you are concerned the Stalkers may attempt to target him tonight.

"I appreciate your help," Pormalu nods in a thankful way. "I'm lucky they haven't attacked me already, but I'm not one to take chances. One again you show up at Lora the Kirlia's door, hoping that you won't be running into any Stalkers tonight, but also knowing that you'll be able to overcome any sort of challenge that one throws at you. With your giant shield-head and your Emissary powers, you know that you are the perfect bodyguard.

You plod a heavy foot against the door a few times until Lora throws the door open and beams at you. "Again?!" she exclaims, amused to see your face once more. "Are you trying to tell me something, Aurimas?" She chuckles, the Gothitelle sitting on the couch behind her subtly glaring at you. You get the feeling that these two are like sisters, possibly closer, who keep one another company. You imagine that the Gothitelle is over-protective, given how standoffish she acts.

"An Emissary at our doorstep," Carmin hums, moving steadily to the door as if she is floating, not walking. "...Perhaps you could get him another biscuit."

"You read my mind," Lora answers, rushing into the kitchen again. Then you are alone with Carmin, who again narrows her eyes at you. You get the impression that she doesn't trust easily.

"Thank you for protecting her," she finally says, which comes as a slight surprise to you. You give a nod, as if to say that you are happy to do so.

Lora comes rushing back and slams the cookie jar on the floor, throwing a hand in and grabbing a biscuit. "Here! It's my thanks. Stay safe, okay?" The Kirlia gives you a stern look, then says goodnight and retires to her apartment.

You gobble up the biscuit as you sit down, preparing to remain here until the sun rises and you're sure that she'll be safe.

As you can see from an initial glance, the Silvercoal News Stand and Bookstore was only very recently abandoned by Nesmer the Torterra, who obviously thought fleeing for his life was more important than worrying about a few newspapers and books. Ironically, you can tell exactly when the Stalkers decided to strike just based on the last newspaper that was stocked here, dated only a few months ago.

The building itself isn't very big and is part of the same unit as the neighboring lawfirm. You decide to start by looking about the perimeter, which doesn't seem to be in bad shape. It also doesn't have too much damage either. From what you can tell, Nesmer was earning enough income from locals who just wanted something to read, and as a result, it doesn't look like Nesmer had trouble keeping up with rent. Had it not been for the Stalkers, you're certain business would have continued as normal and Nesmer would definitely still be here. Where he now, you can't even begin to imagine.

While searching the inside, you come across plenty of rows and rows of recently-released, best seller books in the first isle. Sadly, it looks like some of it was shoplifted without Nesmer to watch over it. However, it seems thieves aren't all too much into reading or newspapers from months ago as not everything was taken. Pretty much all of the snacks and candy were stolen, but most of the other merchandise is still here.

One thing that stands out as unusual is an audio recording holotape. It seems like it was stashed away here only recently right besides a bunch of magazines, but hastily and not very orderly. It seemed as though either the Pokémon that put it here couldn't use their arm correctly or couldn't see what they were doing. There's no reason for a holotape to be next to a bunch of beauty and hovercraft enthusiast magazines.

You decide to play it and it sounds highly unusual, like a distorted robotic voice...

=Audio Recording 1= was noted in the Team Records.

You decide to take it with you to determine if you can figure out more.

After making one last sweep around the store and the rest of the building, it seems nothing else sticks out as being strange or suspicious. You decide to head back into the night streets and return back to base.

Under a blinking streetlight, the Dakin Apartment Tower looks rickety, unsafe, and of extremely low value. You imagine that large Pokémon get turned down when they apply for an apartment here, as anything heavier than an average Pokémon looks like it could tear a hole in the floorboards. The roofing is broken in some areas, some of the windows are boarded up, and the paint looks like it hasn't been tended to in decades. The entire building is nearing its expiry, and you wonder how much longer it will be until the whole place needs to come down.

You tuck your wings in as tightly as possible as you wander into the property, feeling as if this place could dirty your fluff more so than any other place you've been to in the whole city. As well as your feathers being dirtied, you begin to think that you're going to have to shield your mind from the disturbing presence that you can feel from the front of the building.

Using a headlamp like the ones your teammates have, you carefully wander around the back of the building, hearing your feet lightly clap against the uneven cement path leading you around. The back section almost looks like a dumpsite, strewn with rubbish, debris and a dirty pond which you imagine nothing but bacteria or a Grimer could live in. After mounting a small rise compiled of broken bricks and building materials, you spot a statue which looks similar to the other two that your teammates found at Seventy-One Manufacturing and Rusto Memorial Plaza. You begin to near it, and in the darkness you are barely able to make out what is depicted in the carving until you are too close for comfort. You frown at what you see.

It is a stone depiction of a Primeape wearing a face contorted with pure rage. It holds a petrified Linoone by the scruff of its neck in one hand, and the Linoone's heart in the other. A hole in the Linoone's chest has been carved. Even details like the blood from the heart dripping down the Primeape's arm have been included. The carving suddenly fills you with anger, and after a few moments, you realise that you're not in control of your emotions. Seeing this statue disturbs you to no end, but it also implants your mind with feelings of hatred and rage. You tear your eyes away, giving yourself a break from the overwhelming emotion, looking back only to see three indents for different instruments in the stone that the Primeape is standing atop: a viola, a saxophone and a clarinet.

Object {Sculpture of Curses: Viola Contour, Saxophone Contour, Clarinet Contour} was added to the Team Inventory.

You realise that there is nothing you can do right now, so you take note of what you have seen and flee from the site, still embedded with strands of anger.

(10g) Parking Lot Entrance and Ticket Purchasing <UNSEARCHED>
You head to the Patriarch Stadium, which from an outside glance, used to be quite a popular place for watching intense Strikeball games, but recent issues with the Stalkers have kept everything shut down for now. But from what you can see, the stadium looks nice and it seems like once things settle down, it will likely reopen soon enough and the games will go on.

You locate the first ticket booth, but as Sharley mentioned, this one wasn't the problem. Ticket booth A, even on a second check, doesn't have anything wrong with it. It's the normal gray, claustrophobic guardhouse box with only a ticket window. It's Ticket booth B that's the problem.

You approach it from the rear as soon as you realize the black blob in question... it's not a Stalker. It's a trap. A dark one at that. Even though it wouldn't have affected you, you use your know-how to dismantle it and disarm it by flushing out the shades. Not only that, but you can see a locking mechanism was designed for only a dark type Pokémon to access it. Since you already know how to break it down, you strike it with a Night Daze attack and it causes the lock to crumble. Someone definitely went a little overboard when it came to sealing this ticket booth, so you figure there's likely something important inside.

However, even after all that, there's still the primary key missing, which you don't have.

Locked Door {Trapped Ticket Booth B: Ticket Booth B Emblem, <Security>, +Dark Type+} has been noted in the Team Records.

You check Ticket Booth C to see if there is any chance of the key being there, but no luck. All you find in there are papers and a few candy wrappers. Your only thought is it could be somewhere else at the stadium. Or at least you're hoping that's where it could be.

Without much else you can really do without the key, you decide to head back, at least satisfied you tore apart the booby trap and broke down one of the main locks in the process. You're just hoping you find the key sooner than later.

    (44) Silvercoal City Fire Department - Unlock the locker
You enter the Fire Department after Sarah mentioned to you where she found the type lock. There are still a few firefighters on shift at this time, but thanks to Mew's gift, you won't have to worry about being spotted by any of them as you make your way past the garage, through the eating area and into the locker room. You walk past a few lockers before spotting the one that has the complicated type lock mechanism.

You take a step back, readying a vine whip before launching it right at the lock. It seems to register what it made contact with and immediately drops off. You catch it right before it hits the ground with your other vine, hoping that nobody heard you. You then use your vines to open the locker, then you peer inside.

A pair of what appear to be wing cuffs rest inside. Their design is almost triangular and they look like they were made to fit on the end of a pointed wing. You don't know how they would be all that appealing, and assume it is an acquired taste. They seem to radiate a small dosage of odd Stalker energy, but not enough to make you cringe or feel sick.

Item [Wing Cuffs] were added to the Team Inventory.

You take the wing cuffs and leave the Fire Department, heading back to your base.

    48. Krum the Muk has been murdered by the Stalkers.

Location: Outside the Synth Compressor Station
    Cause of Death: Self-mutilation

The firefighter, Krum, who was a Muk, was found as a pile of dismembered, torn, mutilated sludge. What muscle he had was severed in multiple parts, his brain ripped from his head and strewn in parts across the pavement, and his internal organs fanned out across the ground. Beside him was a stained shovel which he had used as a means to mutilate himself. Despite being a being made of slime, he still shared many regular body parts with other Pokémon.

There was little left of his face, which had been ripped apart with the shovel. His body and its subsequent parts spanned several metres, connected by a trail of dark, oozing blood emitting a foul stench. Written in blood was the four words, SHOULD HAVE SAID YES.

Pormalu forced himself to look away as the last of Krum's body was cleaned up, again finding himself in turmoil over a third death in a row. Since the Emissaries had arrived in Silvercoal City, there had been a death each night. Although the body count was only sitting at three, he couldn't imagine what the number would end up being by the time each Stalker was finally discovered and vanquished--if that ever happened. The sight of Krum's body, torn to shreds and spread across a large segment of the footpath outside the compressor station, was enough to make anyone want to vomit, but that wasn't what bothered the Arcanine the most. Krum was Silvercoal City's firefighting captain, so Pormalu interacted with him on a regular basis.

He shook his head, unable to look at his mate as he kept his eyes closed. "We met in our pre-evolved forms... He wanted to prove everyone wrong about Grimer and Muk. They all told him he couldn't do it, and yet...he made captain. And he was damn good at it."

Sequintia was about to say something when a few Pokémon approached from nearby. The flashing lights atop the various police hovervehicles around the crime scene bounced off the approaching figures all adorned in firefighting gear. At the front of the line was Rabukan, who Sequintia was only mildly familiar with. Pormalu instantly approached the firefighters.

"We...heard what happened to Krum and came to pay our respects," the Druddigon murmured, her voice coated in sadness.

"He would have appreciated that," Pormalu answered, keeping his voice low and steady. He was glad that the forensics team had already cleaned up the messy remains of his body so that his brigade did not have to witness him in that state. "It seems...this is another murder committed by the same Stalker who put Uru in hospital," he muttered, biting back tears as his muzzle twitched. "Unfortunately...nobody got to Krum in time."

Rabukan burst into tears, followed by a few other firefighters, as Pormalu silently cursed himself for bringing up the fact that one victim of this Stalker had been discovered before he had the chance to fatally wound himself, but Krum had not been given the same chance...neither had any other Stalker victims to date.

Sequintia approached her mate and drew him aside. "There's another person here... I don't know who it is."

Pormalu looked up, as did Rabukan, who heard Sequintia's words over her crying. All three Pokémon laid their sights on the bulky form of a timid looking Garbodor who stood at the edge of the crime scene. Her face was twisted with utter horror at what she saw, and although there was no body, the remnants of his oozing liquids still remained.

The Druddigon grew suddenly upset and thudded several paces toward the Poison type. "What are you doing here?" she shouted, startling the Garbodor.

Instead of responding, the Pokémon erupted into tears and fled, leaving Pormalu and Sequintia a little puzzled. Upon asking Rabukan who she was, the Pokémon merely stated that she had stopped by the fire station a few times in the past and had asked for Krum, but every time he came out of the department building to greet her, she had panicked and fled. She informed the two police officers that she suspected that the Garbodor, Finichi, was Krum's secret admirer of sorts.

"I shouldn't have yelled at her... I just got annoyed every time she would ask for him and then run off. She doomed herself because...now she'll never talk to him again." The Dragon-type sighed, turning around to speak with her fellow firefighters.

After consulting the other police officers and specialists at the scene, Pormalu and Sequintia concluded that this grizzly scene was best left behind them.
