You arrive at Destno Public Housing Complex, which you know is maintained by the Eelektross that Zeal spoke to, Vivanctus. Her charitable actions have given many homeless Pokémon a place to stay, but the drawback is unsightly. The entire complex is worn, tired, and not very well kept. Regardless, you figure that the Pokémon living inside are grateful for the opportunity to be off the streets and safely under a roof. You can see by the poorly-mended windows and the shabby paint job that although the Electric-type makes a good deal of money as a doctor, the funding for the housing project needs to increase if the state of the building is going to improve at all.

You begin scouting the premises in search of anything that might prove useful. You hide yourself in plain sight from any passers-by so that you can search uninterrupted. You eventually come across something glinting in the sunlight in the far corner of the property, so you make your way over to it and see that lodged in the dirt is what appears to be a gemstone. You pick it up and determine by its assortment of colours that it is an opal, although it seems to be fairly rough around the edges.

You're not sure what use this opal could have, but you bring it along with you just in case.

Item [Uncut Opal] was added to the Team Inventory.

After searching the rest of the exterior of Destno Apartments, you find nothing of use. You feel as if there might be something within the apartment complex itself, but you leave that up to another time, leaving to head back to your base.

In addition to the standard fare (what do they know about the Stalkers, anything that could help, yadda yadda), I need to ask if she knows who the Stalkers could aim for this night - maybe she's noticed a pattern or something.

That, and I'd appreciate actually protecting effectively for once...

Hm... The Kirlia and Gothitelle both live in the same place, right? If I'm lucky, maybe I can interview 84. Carmin the Gothitelle at the same time as I do this... But that's likely just wishful thinking on my part.
    Interview Rapport: NEUTRAL, INTIMIDATING
Intimidation +1 Interviewee weak to Steel

Lora is at Innocuous Investigations when you find her, but she doesn't see you through the window. When you knock hesitantly on the door and then open it to come inside, a Tranquil stares you in the face.

"Do you have an appointment?" she asks quickly while holding a bunch of papers awkwardly in her wings. You shake your head but state that you are here to speak with Lora, and the dual type nods, telling you to follow her into an office which you can see she shares with Lora.

The Kirlia looks up from her desk, eyes wide when she meets gazes with you. "Big guy!" she exclaims, standing up. "You--don't mind if I call you that, right?" She rounds her desk and stands close to you, bending a tiny bit to meet your eye level. "Thank you for protecting me for the past two nights," she says, giving a small smile. "It's been a little scary since those Stalkers arrived, I admit, but you can't be too fearful!"

Queloon, Lora's firm partner, leaves the room as the two of you begin discussing the Stalkers. Lora retrieves a file and opens it up.

"I haven't got all that much time today to stay and chat, so we're going to have to make this brief. I hope that's okay," she adds, although it doesn't look like she's giving you much of a choice. After you tell her of the information Pormalu was able to provide you with, she gives a few nods. "The police...don't know as much as we do," she admits, a little wary to be saying such things around an Emissary. However, she seems confident enough with you, given that you've offered your time during the past two nights to keep her from harm. You suspect that she doesn't care that you have a type advantage. "My team works around the clock to get this sort of information, but our main priority has to be our clients."

"Do you know about Uru Sapling? The Sudowoodo who survived an attack by Extol, the crazy, obsessive male killer?" she wonders. "I know that he was doing research on her before he was targeted... So the only conclusion that my team and I could draw from that is that this 'Extol' Stalker found out what he was doing and thought that disabling his research would stop it from becoming exposed." She brought up another piece of paper from the file, showing it to you. "A few of my team members have gone to visit him in an effort to get him to talk, but it hasn't worked so well. We haven't had a chance to speak with Mahyen Sapling, his mate, but maybe you could?" She shuffled through her papers again. "If it helps, Uru worked at Valcon Glassworks. You might find something there."

"Embalm you know about, Philter you know about..." She scans through more papers, leaning against her desk. "We're not sure why they kill, exactly. Their victims tend to be random, unlike Extol, who has only ever targeted grown male Pokémon. "Depredation, you know about... Eleven Stalkers? Guess you know that too."

"Ooh! Here's something you'll find interesting: Annul shows signs of a struggle; we believe the host wants to break free from the Stalker, and the same appears to apply to Philter. The concept freaks me out, being chained to this unholy entity with no hope to escape...being forced to kill. And then there are the hosts that like their newfound powers. We've also come to speculate that the powers given to the hosts can be normally impossible for the host to perform. For instance, we don't believe Philter is a Grass-type, but that doesn't mean the only other conclusion is that the host can create illusions through their regular elemental powers. We believe Enthrallers can have their own powers."

"Long, long ago, there were reports of Stalkers in another, far off land. It was so long ago that nobody knows which history sources are accurate, but one thing was for sure: they were simpler Enthrallers. They didn't pass on these gruesome powers. I'm not saying they all have them, but don't go targeting Psychic-types just because some of us are capable of conjuring illusions." She gives you a stern but friendly look.

"We know there's a Stalker obsessed with the Seven Sins. I know, it sounds terribly derivative, but this Stalker is no joke. It kills people based off a sin if believes they committed, brands them with masks, then carves the name of the sin into a body part... We don't know anything more about this Stalker other than its method of killing."

"The final method we know of definitively is the, uh...Poser. This Stalker...poses its victims while they're paralysed and then slits them down their centre. They die of various causes: blood loss, organ failure, heart attacks, and all of them remain frozen in place until someone touches them. Sometimes the victims have been strung up so that even after their bodies go limp, they remain as they were posed. We...refer to this one as the Poser. That's not its actual name, though."

"You've heard everything there is to say about the others, but..." She holds your eyes for a moment, trying to convey seriousness in a way that you imagine isn't common for her. "I have to warn you to be careful. Be careful of them all, but above all else, be careful of Nightlust. This Stalker is the most dangerous of them all, able to kill its victims without even touching them. Penelope, the elderly Aurorus who was killed two nights ago..." Lora squeezes her eyes closed for a second. "She was...so lovely. A librarian her whole life who never dealt anyone harm. She wasn't a helpless old Pokémon, though; she never took any nonsense, but...that didn't stop her from becoming a victim of Nightlust. It doesn't need to touch its victims; it ravages and shreds their sanity, destroying their minds... Drowning, burning and suffocating in your own worst nightmare."

The Kirlia shudders, trying to push the image of the old librarian's grotesque expression from her mind as she rights herself and tries to smile at you.

"That's all the time I have for today," she explains. "My team and I work just as hard as the police force, and if you ever want to learn how to investigate, do let me know. Each time you investigate someone, it'll take a whole day and night, but the results will be worth it, I promise." She rounds her desk and opens a drawer as you watch, then comes back around to you with something in her hand. She plants a sticker on your shield, then shows you the rest of the sheet. On each sticker, it has Innocuous Investigations' logo.

She smiles as Queloon walks back in and has a look at the sticker on your forehead. "Looks good on him, Lora!" she chuckles, moving to her desk.

"I'll see you later, Aurimas. I hope you learned what you were after!" Lora says, waving to you as you exit the building. You feel like this information has been extremely useful, and you're glad you went to see her after all.

As you arrive at Hazel Plaza at the near center of Silvercoal City, you see it's mostly concrete and mainly serves as a public square where Pokémon can meet for lunch or serves as a place for outdoor events like flea markets, entertainment venues, festivals, and the like. The plaza still seems well-maintained despite the situations with the Stalkers and at least some Pokémon still make use of it during the day where it seems Stalkers wouldn't attack them in broad daylight.

During the day, many Pokémon also sell snacks, sandwiches, and other food items from carts and food trucks. It seems as though there used to be more of these vendors in earlier times, but business hasn't been all that good with fewer Pokémon willing to venture out.

You search around the public meeting tables and behind several stone benches that come in several different sizes to provide for all types of Pokémon. You also search through the trash cans and you find something that looks like someone tried to throw away, but seems important.

You pull out several pages of what feels pieces of a book. You read though them, but while they are out of order, you get an understanding that they seem to be instructions for some kind of holy summoning. Even the pages themselves radiate with a kind of purity, but it seems to be incomplete.

Item [Starcaller Tome Pages 3of4] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You search the other trash cans, hoping to find the remainder of the pages, but they don't seem to be here. You look around and you're not sure where the other parts could be, but you figure you just need to keep looking.

After you're convinced you found all there is to locate here, you decide to head back.

Anyway, I guess I'd better start looking for more leads. That Galvantula looks promising...

Hello there! I was wondering if I could ask you a few question? I'm investigating the stalkers, and I was wondering if you knew anything about them that might be useful. Oh, and have you seen a gold and ruby necklace? Also, do you know anyone who works in a medical center, or otherwise has access to medical equipment & accessories?

    Interview: 50. Gung the Galvantula
    Interview Rapport: VERY POSITIVE
    +1 Shared Pokémon Type (Electric)

You find Gung the Galvantula returning home after his shift ends at the Sivercoal Correctional facility. You introduce yourself to him, inquiring about the Stalkers and what he might know about them.

"Nice to meet you, Fir," Gung tells you as the electric spider nods. "Good to know we've got more help trying to track the Stalkers down. From what I hear, all of them are wanted dead or alive, so if you find them, do whatever you think is right just as long as they don't get away."

"Leads..." Gung nods, trying to think hard about what he knows about the Stalkers. "I have been noticing strange things at the correctional facility lately come to think of it. I'll admit, there are areas of the prison even I don't have access to, but I can't imagine what the hell some of these places are for. It's an old building so there are places to it that even my boss doesn't know about. But the area where we have solitary confinement and inmates on death row, there's something there that makes even a tough guy like me feel uneasy. I try to avoid it if I can. I swear, it seems like a place where they must have locked up criminally insane inmates but then stopped using for a while. I told my son Shrig about it and I was surprised he could relate. He told me a story that he found something similar in the Brookheights School gymnasium under the bleachers and that kids there talk about some 'cursed symbol' or something like that. There's been talk about a student suicide case because of it. I don't know if that's true, but that's something the principal should really look into. Knowing how some of these stiffs are like, they probably think it's just kids spreading rumors around."

"A gold and ruby necklace..." Gung tells you, trying to recall if he saw something like that. "I can't say I've seen anything like that around. If I come across it, I'll let you know, but I'm not really a collector of jewelry."

You then ask about what Gung knows about any doctors or medical personnel that would have access to medical equipment.

"Kirsh is a surgeon who works at the medical center," Gung informs you. "I've had to consult with him on several occasions after prison inmates or security guards got attacked. He seems to know his stuff and is a nice guy to talk to. Vivanctus the Eelectross is another doctor I know, but she works at the Calstone Medical Offices. She's also been pretty helpful and even helps Pokémon who can't afford standard medical care. Those are really the only ones I know, but I've met them because there are always Pokémon around the prison that are out to stab each other or whatnot. When you work in a place like that, it's easy to come across these kinds of cases."

"Well, I've got to get home," Gung tells you. "I'm sure my son is already there and he's probably waiting for dinner. I'll ask him about what he knows about that 'suicide story.' It could just be a rumor though. Sometimes kids like spreading those kinds of things around, even though I know my son wouldn't do that."

He then decides to head back home.

Located in the far southwest part of Silvercoal City, the Starbelt Manufacturing Plant seems to be a darker, nearly black-colored building. As you can tell, it's been abandoned for nearly eight years and has started to deteriorate. Signs of vandalism and graffiti are over the walls as well.

You decide to head up to the highest floors in the building. The elevator seems to still be working, but it does feel rickety and seems to shake and rattle a lot on the way up. It does make you feel a bit unnerved.

When it arrives on the 21st floor, you begin your search. As you can tell, this facility used to manufacture medical equipment, surgical devices, and the like. You find several machines that used to mass-produce needles, sutures, drains, surgical cutting tools, surgical stapling devices, and many other similar tools. Meanwhile, a lot of this equipment still seems to be here, which seems unusual. A lot of the perishable equipment is way past the expiration dates. It doesn't even seem like it would take all that much to bring it back online, though. It makes you wonder if somehow someone is still watching over what goes on here even if the building seems abandoned.

When you reach the 25th floor, you can see a lot of the equipment here was used for sterilization processes. You find a lot of equipment in boxes that is considered well past the sterilization date, but nonetheless, you know in an emergency, most of what's here would be way better than nothing.

When you start reaching the highest floors, you begin to see a lot of deterioration damage. It looks like things have started to fall apart around here. It isn't until you get to the highest floor that you see a lot of the paint on the walls has chipped off and the metal has rusted and been corroded. A lot of water damage is also visible on the ceiling.

As you get to one room, you suddenly hear a loud cracking sound under your feet. You try to leap away, but you don't quite make it in time and you crash down upon the floor below as the brittle floor collapses, leaving a gaping hole in the floor you've fallen through and a large hole in the ceiling of the floor below.

Sam has suffered 1 Point of damage to Health.

You wince at the pain, as you fall among a pile of splintered wood, pieces of drywall, and broken pieces of metal. You decide to keep going and check out the room again once you head back up the ruined tiled stairs and walk around the gaping hole that was crated as you fell through. As you take a look around, you find a very strange message on the damaged wall.

You're not quite sure what it means.

=Wall Riddle= has been noted in the Team Records.

After searching the rest of these floors, you decide to take the elevator back down, really hoping the cables don't snap while you're riding it. Thankfully, the elevator arrives safely and you head out of the building.
