Nepp is at Eternity Bank when you find him, and you can immediately see that he works there. As you enter through the bank, you can see that business seems to be as usual. It's a vast contrast to the Silver Vault Bank, which you know has suffered greatly from the Stalker invasion. You aren't entirely sure why, but you suspect that Eternity Bank was older, more established, and had loyal customers. Silver Vault may have just opened at an unfortunate time.

You wait in line for just under ten minutes before you come to Nepp, whose bored facial expression makes it clear that he has been at it for hours. As you approach, he frowns, although you have a hard time reading anything in his gemstone-like eyes.

"What can I do for you...?" he hisses, which you imagine is a part of his regular speech. You introduce yourself and ask about the Stalkers. Nepp scoffs. "Can't you see I'm in the middle of my shift?" He shakes his head, looking over his shoulder for a second. "Supervisor's on break, so you've got two minutes." He slams his glass window down, mentioning to one of his co-workers that he needs to step away and deal with a client for a moment. The Pokémon agrees and he signals to you to meet him in the waiting area on the other side of the reception desk. You do so, greeting the small Sableye wearing a tie.

His voice is low as he asks, "Are you one of those...agents?" When you answer that you are an Emissary sent to deal with the Stalkers, he shakes his head. "So you're... one of those other Pokémon? Those special ones from Utopia?" You aren't sure if the two of you are on the same page, but you explain to him that you're not from Utopia, wherever that is. "Hm. May have you mixed up with...someone else."

You ask him again about Stalker activity and if he's heard of anything strange happening. He shrugs. "I really can't help ya. I did see that Uru guy hanging around my apartment building before he was put in hospital. Dunno what he was doing there, though." When you ask him which building that is, he responds, "Summer's Moon."

"I've gotta get back," he tells you, heading back to his window.

After you were told about Krikle's comment regarding Haime's absence from school, you head to the Pormalu Residence, knowing that Haime and her mother Fleck resided there together before Fleck was killed by the Stalkers a few nights ago. You approach the house, but knocking produces no response for a while. You guess that Sequintia and Pormalu are at the police station at this time of day, and you aren't quite sure what to do. Right as you decide to find another way to get in, you hear a voice, then see the pink figure of a rugged Nidorino chugging toward you from the garden.

"What's your business here?" he barks casually, meeting you on the porch. You can see gardening equipment beside the flower bed to which you imagine he was tending. You explain that you are here to speak with Haime about the Stalkers, and he narrows his eyes at you. "Are you freaking kidding?" he growls, piercing your eyes to let the words set in. "Her mother was just killed by one of them. What, you haven't heard on the news?"

"R-Rocky," comes a meek voice, and the both of you turn your heads to a window only a few paces away. A small Surskit is there, looking upon the two of you with a mix of fear and grief. "L...let them in. I want...to help."

Rocky, the Nidorino, snorts at you and curls his maw before he grabs a key between his teeth and opens the front door, slipping it back into a pocket in a strap around his front leg. He watches you enter, ensuring that you leave the door open as he moves his tools to the garden patch just outside the window at which Haime is standing. He continues to glare at you through the window, aggressively digging into the dirt.

"S...sorry about him," Haime utters, her eyes set upon the soft carpet at your feet. You guess that this young Surskit and the rebellious Nidorino have become akin to brother and sister, and you guess that their purposes at the Pormalu Residence is the only reason they know each other at all. "You...you're here b-because of my mum, aren't you?" she asks, slowly elevating her gaze to you. Her little eyes are already filled with tears, which nearly evokes tears of your own. You resist, apologising for bringing up such a sensitive topic so soon after the unfortunate events involving her mother. She nods the whole time, unable to meet your eyes for at least half of the conversation.

"Mum was...the best, the kindest and the most hard working Pokémon anyone ever knew," she begins, trying to fight back her tears. She gives up and lets them stream down her face. "I just can't believe she's g-g-gone..." She heaves, trying to regain her composition. You note that Rocky's eyes have flared up with what looks almost like hatred, and you try to comfort Haime in an effort to get her to settle back down. The dual type eventually does, constantly apologising. "I-I haven't been back to school s-since it happened, but... Th-there's something there...a guitar. It's...it's so scary and made me sick to the stomach. Nobody's done anything about it...it's just there. In the elementary school part... And that's not the only thing like it at school! I can't go back!" she shouts, suddenly breaking down again. This time, there's no calming her, and the Nidorino storms through the front door, tossing you aside to reach Haime and attempts to comfort her.

"Get out!" he thunders, baring his pointed fangs. You are a little shocked at his reaction, but abide anyway.

Haime's wails can still be heard as you reach the street, and you shudder to think what the poor Surskit is going through. Regardless, you're thankful for what little direction she was able to provide you with in her current condition.

Hippita is on her way to a midday class at school when you stop her in the street to have a chat. She seems mildly cautious of you, a stranger on the street, and subtly glances around to ensure there are other Pokémon nearby if it happened that she would need support. She greets you politely and enquires about your purpose for approaching her. You explain your mission, and add that you elected to ask her given that you are similar species. She seems to accept that reasoning and looks willing to help out.

"I mean, I don't know much about the Stalkers at all, but...Haime's mum was killed by one," she whispers, looking pained. "Mrs. Fleck was such a nice lady... Please, whatever you do, don't ask Haime about it. She...hasn't been to school and it's really eating her up. I just hope she gets the counselling she needs to help her. She's a few years younger than me, but we're still good friends. I just...hope she'll be okay." She shakes her head, realising she got a little off track. "Please, check our school. There's something creepy at the plaza and the on one of the elementary floors. My friend, Skikk, goes to Northwind, and she said there's been some really scary things there too..."

The Turtwig pauses for a second, as if trying to think of anything else that might be helpful. You get the idea that she might be in a bit of a hurry, but she still looks willing to help out. You hope that it isn't because she feels pressured. She shrugs, breathing a sigh and adjusting the strap of her backpack which clings to her belly.

"I don't really know about anything else helpful. Sometimes I walk with Skikk to her school and see Joka Memorial Park from a distance... It's so creepy. And it sucks that she lives so close to Newhill Sewage. Legends, that place reeks and you can smell it when you step out of her building. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work there...they must hate it. Maybe the smell is why Skikk's never home..." She stops to breathe another sigh, clearly disapproving. "She learned how to pick locks. Her mum works at Metter Machine Shop and tinkers with hover vehicles all day, and I guess Skikk got her tinkering skill... That or she's just really bored. I think she's bored. And she...gave me this."

Hippita pulls out a syringe in a packet, looking a little disgusted by it. "I don't know what it does, but... It's called a Verve Syringe. Maybe you can use it on the Stalkers or something..." You take the syringe from Hippita and pocket it in the satchel you brought with you. She looks relieved to be free from such an item.

Item [Verve Syringe] was added to the Team Inventory.

"I should really be getting to school," she explains, departing before you can object. "Good luck with those...Stalkers. I really hope they leave Silvercoal soon."

She disappears down the footpath and you head back to your hideout with the Verve Syringe in the satchel at your side.

You find Quei working a day shift at the Silvercoal City Shipyard. He seems to always been in a pretty good mood and doesn't mind a lot of physical labor, which is good as it seems like his job requires a lot of it. When you introduce yourself, he looks at you with a welcoming smile.

"Greetings, Sarah," he tells you as he steps away from the rope he just finished tying down. "My name's Quei, pleased to meet you."

You explain that you talked to Vivanctus who mentioned he had Aqua Gear. You explain that you need it to fight the Stalkers, and he nods.

"Yes, we usually keep Aqua Gear at the Silvercoal City Shipyard and Port Authority main building," he tells you. "They should have some on the seventh floor, but the locker keys are issued by the security booth outside. If they have a set available, you're free to use it. You can let them know I said it was okay."

"Just... be careful," Quei tells you, looking a bit downcast all of a sudden. "I thought the shipyard was safe, but just the other night, I..." he sighs. "I was struck from behind when I was talking to Yusset. He's a Milotic that... well, I think the Stalkers took him. I should have been on guard! But I never thought..."

He takes a moment to clear his head and gather his thoughts.

"I... it's my fault," Quei tells you, looking ashamed. "I told the police about Yusset's abduction, but I never saw the attacker. I was thinking more about the discussion I was having with Yusset. Something about our favorite restaurants, but I was struck on the back of the head and everything just became a blur. When I woke up in pain, Yusset was gone, and now his mate, Shellia, is incredibly worried about him and she has every right to be. It's all my fault and I haven't been able to bring myself to talk to her yet. I've been losing sleep over it every night! She probably isn't even aware he was likely taken by the Stalkers!"

He looks down and fidgets with a strange, very awe-inspiring armband that catches your eyes for a moment. As he turns it and flips it with his large hands in his anxious responses, you can't help but feel there's something very compelling about that armband, but it doesn't look like Quei wants to talk about it.

"If you can, please look out for Yusset," Quei pleads with you. "My hopes... um... I'll be honest, my hopes aren't all that high, but maybe there's a chance he's okay. Just... please look. I'm sure Shellia would appreciate knowing the truth about what happened to her mate. Even if... even if it's for the worst."

He sighs and puts the bracer away.

"Well, Sarah, it's been nice talking to you," Quei bows before you. "I... I really should return to work. All the best with your endeavors."

You decide to head to the highest floors of the Brookheights School building where the High School-level grades are. You notice most Pokémon here are older and despite the Stalker attacks, classes are still going on, but you notice that night classes and activities have all been canceled for the time being.

In addition to that, a lot of the notices for after-school activities and sports have been taken down and will remain closed "until further notice." Most of the high-school students here seem to be bored, but unlike Northwind, they're at least learning and doing their due diligence when it comes to testing, classwork, and projects. Morale may be low, but it's still there.

Attendance is slightly less than normal and some classrooms are empty. There also seem to be several empty lockers that haven't been used. You find one such locker without a number, and when you search it, it seems something was quickly put inside. You take a look at it and it seems to be some kind of armor fragment. You're quite sure you've seen something like this before, only this time it seems to be another piece of the set.

Item [Dragonstar Armor Fragment 2of4] was added to the Team Inventory.

Despite what's been going on with the Stalkers, you have to admire the students and teachers that are still working and trying their best here to keep life going on. After making one last round through the remaining floors, you head back to base with your findings.

With the intention of speaking with Lephley, a Tropius kindergarten teacher, you head to Brookheights School close to home time and ask reception if you can schedule a meeting. The receptionist pages Lephley, who shows up a few minutes after a replacement teacher was called in to supervise the unattended children for the short time that their teacher was absent.

You see the large form of the dual type trudging slowly down the hallway. You can see eyes filled with pain, and judge that the poor Tropius has not been dealing well with Penelope's death over the past few days.

"Amia, is it?" she asks, leading you into the staff room which is empty at this time of day. She offers you a seat and asks, "What brings you here?"

You explain that you are here to ask of her about the Stalkers, and of the death of her "mate" Penelope. The Tropius seems taken aback, slightly confused.

"Mates? Legends, no!" she snorts, and you get the feeling that if circumstances were brighter, she might have laughed. However, the dinosaur Pokémon merely shakes her head slowly, the fruit on her chin clapping against one another. "To have a mate meant very little to either of us in the end. Such ties could not compare to the unbreakable bond we shared. We were the dearest of friends, old Penelope and I. We met as younglings, barely a few months old. Our parents were friends and we became better friends than they. After their minds faded and their bones turned to dust, our friendship remained. Decades ago we had mates of our own, but even as they passed, our friendship did not. After every challenge, every hardship, our bond grew until it was unbreakable... Even in death we knew we would have each other's backs, but...it came too soon. Never did I expect...n-never did I..."

A breath caught in her throat and she forced tears back. Oxygen seeped through her nostrils, circulating about her body to calm her down.

"The Stalkers forced her death. They gave her to Utopia too soon. We had yet to share more experiences and memories with one another... I just can't... I can't believe..." She clenched her teeth. "You can't imagine how lonely it is to live for decades upon decades alone. Over a century did our friendship last. Nothing was more important to me than the safety of my oldest, most trusted and loyal friend... The Stalkers took her from me just as they took me from her. If ever there was a time that I wished upon someone the most painful of deaths, it would be now, and it would be for each of those heinous monsters."

Lephley takes another moment to compose herself, and although you can see that she seems to be managing the loss of her oldest friend on the outside, you guess that her internal suffering is great. Although she stands before you, it is almost as if the Grass-type is simultaneously in a distant land. Alone.

"At the Cloudrise Tower, where Penelope and I were neighbours, lies a lantern which I know has a connection to those wicked beings. I know of Mahyen's family's suffering, but one thing I have not mentioned to her yet was that I used to see her mate outside the tower at times, as if something there kept him coming back... He was crippled by a different Stalker who...killed Penelope. But each of them are as deserving of termination as each other."

She leans her long neck down to look you dead in the eye. "Find whoever did this. Please. And know that if I am killed just as my best friend was, I will not be afraid, and I will fight for my life. I refuse to leave the city and abandon my kids," she continues, which you understand means her class. "If you are interested in helping Uru's child, who is in my class, please come and talk to me at another time. But for now, I must be getting back."

She exist the room, having to duck her head significantly to fit through the doorway. She turns back to you. "Thank you for speaking with me... May your investigations lead you somewhere bright and bring you success. Do not hesitate to strike, just as they did not hesitate to extinguish Penelope's life."

You are left alone in the staff room for a while as you contemplate her words, then leave the school.

    COME GET SOME!
From the outside, the Diadem Building seems to be a large commercial office skyscraper. The design is pretty impressive and while it may not be the tallest building in Silvercoal, it's still a respectable one at the very center of the city.

From the outside, nothing really seems suspicious. The perimeter is kept very clean and there isn't a trace of vandalism or graffiti around here. The windows are also cleaned on a regular basis to give the tower a nice "gleam" to it.

While searching, you do come across a drain opening that when you take a closer look, it seems like something fell into it. In the darkness, it looks like some kind of book or folder, but you're not quite sure and it's not light enough to tell. You crouch down and try to see if you can reach it, but it seems like you're just a bit too big to be able to reach down.

Object {Drain Opening: ^Small Pokémon^} has been noted in the Team Records.

You make one last check around the building, but nothing else seems to stand out as being suspicious.

Working throughout the day, you put your repair skills to use and fix the broken connector ring on the necklace. You discover the main reason for the ring breaking was simply just from old age and wear and tear, but it's definitely not beyond your ability.

You manage to fix the necklace and after testing it with some straining and pulling, it holds together quite well and it definitely seems like the mishap that happened with it before won't happen again.

Item [Gold and Ruby Necklace] has been updated in the Team Records.

You take the Gold and Ruby Necklace to Hattika the Ninetales. At first, she seems a little stressed, but when she sees you come with the necklace, suddenly her eyes light up.

"You found it!" she exclaims, very excited to see it. "Oh, I was so worried I would never see it again! I know, to some, it may just be a necklace, but to me... it means so much. I feel like my mother is with me when I see it."

Item [Gold and Ruby Necklace] was removed from the Team Inventory.

She puts it back on, closes her eyes, and you swear you can see a tear of joy in eyes.

"Thank you so much..." she replies to you as she slightly trembles with emotion. "I've had to deal with... so much lately. It's good to know there are really kind hearts and gentle Pokémon that are among us... even in these times..."

"Here, take these," Hattika tells you, handing you a fresh Cheri Berry and an Aspear Berry. "It's the least I can do. You have my most sincere thanks."

Items [Cheri Berry] and [Aspear Berry] were added to the Team Inventory.

"You can do it...!" Hattika tells you, struggling with her emotions. "It may seem difficult at times, but I believe in you all! Please... save our city! If anyone can, it's you!"

    MISSION COMPLETE: SUCCESSFUL!
