    Madder has decided to lockpick Locked Door: {Apartment 397: <Lockpick> / +Fighting+}.
You return back to Apartment 397 and find that someone tried to break in, but to no avail. You also find the message:

"I need someone to help me out. I locked myself out and I can't get in. I don't have my phone with me either."

You smile a bit to yourself as you take a look at the door lock. It's a tricky lock and you can tell someone else tried to pick it, but they didn't know what they were doing and didn't succeed at it. They also didn't have the right tools for the job either. Looks to you like they tried to pick it with a fork. You know for a lock like this, they'd never be able to do it with that.

You insert your tension wrench to start and use your rake pick to slide across the pins, all while applying force to the tension wrench to brace the pins against the line until all of them are up and the lock disengages as you turn the handle. The wooden door then swings open and you take a look inside.

It's not a lovely apartment, but for what it is, it's not half bad. From what you can tell, the Pokémon that lives here likes to read paper magazines and definitely keeps up with the news. They also seem to like photography, as many of their pictures are on the wall and you find a rather intricate and high-tech camera. That's definitely an unusual find around here considering it looks expensive.

You then find something that catches your eye. On a key rack, you find what looks like a Key Fob for a Aerolancer Hovercar. You decide to hold onto it for now.

Item [Aerolancer Hovercar Backup Key Fob] was added to the Team Inventory.

As you do a little more searching, you come to realize this happens to be where Maknon the Pancham and his brother live when you discover some of the mail here. Overall, it seems like a decent place and the two of them try to make the best of things even though they're not wealthy by a long shot.

You don't see anything else that really stands out as being out of the ordinary, so you decide to head back.

    Rest now. Happy sleep time.
Still feeling a bit shaken from some of the things you saw, you decide to get some sleep tonight and use one of the beds in the Emissary hideout. It's a cozy one just perfect for your size and thankfully not too many noises of the city at night reach out to here, so you're able to get a decent sleep tonight. It helps ease your mind and reminds you things will turn out all right.

You stroll through, not having to worry about anyone seeing you given your supernatural cloaking abilities, and are then assured once you are within earshot that the Munna is still in the plaza. His words can be heard from quite the distance, but sound like nothing more than muttering.

You make yourself visible and approach him, getting his attention with the wave of a large hand and some words. The Psychic-type sees you and immediately throws up a barrier again, shielding himself from anything around him. You hold out the Adrenaline Syringe and he narrows his eyes, a little suspicious at first, before lowing his shield.

"GIVE ME!" he yelps, dashing towards you and swiping the syringe from your hand. He floats away, vanishing into the plaza.

Item [Adrenaline Syringe] was removed from the Team Inventory.

He left the painting behind, which is exactly what you were after. You pick it up and observe it from close range. It appears to be a painting of a Vanillite, and although you're unsure of its significance now, you imagine it will come in handy at some stage.

Item [Yasma's Painting] was added to the Team Inventory.

Satisfied, you head back to base, hoping you never see that deranged Munna again.

Search: (91) Silvercoal City Synth Power Plant. (91g) Synchronization Towers, Upper Levels
You come upon the Synth Power Plant a few hours into the dead of night. The sizzling electricity can only be noticed by Electric types, as its muted signals don't give off much of a reading due to the way that the electricity is processed. You can see that this facility is in good working order, and the power that surrounds you makes you feel somewhat happy and inspired.

There are machines present that are unfamiliar to you. The giant towers which you know that the electricity gets processed through loom above you, looking somewhat menacing in the darkness. Unlike the abandoned electricity plant that Pixel searched a few days ago, this plant seems safer, more sustainable and less creepy.

You hear a strange sound in the distance, which makes your ears prick. Your curiosity is piqued and you trail around the side of the property, where you can see the figure of a large Pokémon pacing back and forth. The large wings are dragging along the ground at times, and the aggression in the voice clues you in to the fact that whoever this is has not had a good day.

The Noivern sees you approach and begins to come to you first. Her eyes, as you can see when she nears you, are filled with worry and her movements are sharp. "Please help me," she begins, words rushed. "I-I was flying over Silvercoal City and I dropped all my gems... I...there were ten of them, and now they're all gone. I don't know where to look!" Her eyes are wild as she holds her head with her clawed red hands. "I got a migraine while flying about. It caused me to lose focus and I just dropped them. I imagine they'll be at the tops of buildings or on the ground somewhere..." She looks you in the eyes. "If you see any, please meet me back here to give them to me. I have so much to do and no time to look for them, and my precious gem collection must be returned to me... Please. They make me so happy. They're all uncut gemstones... You'll know them when you see them."

SIDE MISSION OPENED: Find x10 gemstones.
Reward: x1 [Aspear Berrey], x1 [Cheri Berry]

The Noivern returns to her pacing and makes a call from her holophone, which is your cue to leave. You search the property one last time to ensure there's nothing else of value here, and once you confirm that there isn't, you move on.

When you arrive at the Good Morning Sunshine Cafe, it seems like it was only abandoned recently. Most of the outside seems to be in fine condition and all the interior things seem to be in good shape. You search around the exterior but you don't find anything that's really out of the ordinary.

You step inside and it seems to be a small breakfast and lunch cafe that all kinds of salads, sandwiches, and the like. The brown-tiled floor isn't actually all that dirty, the white wallpapered walls are fine, the pictures of nature scenes on the walls are in good condition, and ceiling is simply painted sheetrock with modern lighting and ceiling fans.

There isn't any food out, but the chips and snacks rack is at least half-stocked and the drink refrigerator is still running. Had it not be for the Stalkers, you're quite sure this small cafe would have still be active today, and you're certain it wouldn't take much for it to be running again. It and the neon sign by the door seem to be the only things lighting the cafe, but you're still able to see thanks to your flashlight.

You search around the cafe and notice something strange in one of the back rooms. It seems to be another audio holodisk, which seems a little dated in technology, but you have the feeling this one was recently used and hidden here. It seems someone knew this place was recently vacated and took advantage of that to hide this here.

=Audio Recording 2= was noted in the Team Records.

You decide to take the holodisk with you. You're not sure if whoever put it here would become suspicious to see it's been taken, but you're convinced that it wouldn't change anything anyway. The Stalkers still seem to be very much active even as these things are being gathered.

You don't find anything else out of the ordinary, so you decide to head back to base.

The Cloudrise Tower seems pretty even in the darkness, and the view from here to the ocean is rather appealing. You know that there are closer views one could get, and that this apartment tower definitely takes advantage of the ocean's close proximity despite the apartments themselves not being any more impressive than the standard middle-class ones you have seen around the city before.

Knowing you're not here to inspect the real estate, you begin your hunt around the outside of the building in an attempt to locate something which might indicate a surviving Stalker victim's presence. You briefly wonder about this victim: how he survived, if he saw the Stalker, and what he was doing around the outside of particular buildings. Research was mentioned, although you suppose you won't know until you find something.

After searching around the property, you approach the building itself and trail around the outside. When you come to the back driveway, you notice that there is a pocket in the side of the building blocked by a few placed branches. You remove them, seeing what appears to be a set of scales. Unsure what this means, you decide to step on them. After putting your full weight on them, a hatch in the side of the building within bouquet's reach zips up, giving you access to what looks like a storage box in a rectangular opening. You step off the scales to retrieve the box, but the hatch shuts immediately. You step back on the scales and watch the hatch fly up again and then search for something like a lock on the side of the scales, and to your relief, you find one. You switch it up and step off, and the hatch remains open.

You inspect the box, wondering if you can lockpick it, but it appears as if it can only be unlocked with a key. You frown a little, but figure that whatever Uru left in this box was important enough to him that he had an expensive lock mechanism installed for the storage container.

Object {CPY Lockbox: CPY Groove} was added to the Team Records.

You figure that leaving the scales locked would be convenient for whoever of your teammates comes along to unlock the container, so you bring up some of the branches blocking the scales previously and put them in front of the hatch so that they're blocking the container from sight.

Knowing there is nothing else here, you depart, hoping somebody can find the appropriate key soon.

I'd like to use Diplomacy on Uru the Sudowoodo.
Uru the Sudowoodo resides at the Silvercoal Medical Centre, where you find he has been placed within an old and obsolete psych ward which has been off-limits to civilians for many years now. You head to reception, where you are told Uru can be found, and you head straight there. You are greeted by a few different nurses who are working the night shift.

A Carnivine floats up to you and greets you with a nod. "I'm Yun," she says, directing you through to the psych ward. "Usually we don't let anyone through here, but the chief of police gave you special clearance."

As you enter the psych ward, you immediately feel a sense of fear drill into your brain. The eerie sensations here are different to those emanated by the Stalkers, but they are still just as creepy; the only difference is that they are not supernatural. You get the sense that not many of the staff like to come into this part of the building as much as they don't like civilians walking in.

Yun leads you into a room which you can tell was very quickly set up for Uru's arrival. As if recognising your observations, Yun says quietly, "We brought him in here after he was physically stable. Mentally, though...he's almost lost." She looks down, shaking her large head. "His poor family."

You approach the sleeping Sudowoodo, who you note has several strange devices around him. Tubes are connected to his thin arms, which you imagine have been specially designed to penetrate rock. Yun informs you that he is only unconscious thanks to the liquid being fed through the tubes, and that if there were none hooked up to him, he would be awake and screaming in pain or derangement. You take your chances and disconnect one of the IVs, which rocks him out of his comatose-like state in a matter of seconds.

Immediately the Pokémon begins to panic after seeing your form, and Yun rushes to your side, unsure what to do given that she knows you have a plan. You ask her to step back and begin to speak to Uru with a strong, loud voice.

You explain who you are at first, which somehow immediately makes him listen despite the mumbling still dropping from his lips. You explain that you are here to help, that his research would aid you a great deal, and that whoever did this to him will soon be found and dealt with appropriately. You tell him of your teammates and of Mew, and how the legendary Pokémon bestowed upon you and your fellow Emissaries the power to save Silvercoal City. You bring up his mate, Mahyen, and his son, Wanaloo, explaining that they will be safe from the traumas of the Stalkers in no time at all. Your soothing voice combined with your expert cadence seems to be calming him far more than you even expected, and by the time you are done, you are able to place a paw on his head to transmit the final piece of the puzzle--relaxation. You're not sure how you do this, but you feel it flow through you and into the Rock-type successfully.

The Sudowoodo sinks back into his bed, his limbs relaxing and his eyes turning from frantic and frightened to quiet and calm. You are almost certain that Mew passed on some divine power to allow you to do this, and by the looks of it, so is Yun.

"That was...incredible," she whispers, absolutely shocked. "It...looks like he's falling to sleep, though." She gives you a shrug. "While under the drugs, he was sedated, but not...at peace. I think he's going to need the rest of the night to sleep in this calm state before he'll be able to answer any of your questions," she explains, traces of an apology in her words. "Please come back tomorrow, or feel free to send someone else along."

You accept her judgement and leave the building, happy that you were able to help a suffering Pokémon while also providing the perfect opening for one of your teammates to speak with the Sudowoodo as soon as they can. You know that speaking with him would not have been possible without your skills of persuasion and ability to relax him.

While I'm here, can we talk about Rabukan a little bit? I know she must be having a really hard time after Krum's death, and I was thinking about trying to lend her a wing at the Fire Department tomorrow. I know I don't fit in very well, but I hope I can help.

    Protect 10. Pormalu the Arcanine.
You arrive at Pormalu's estate. The Arcanine looks content to see you again and he nods when you arrive. Still, despite his welcoming composure, it seems he's had a really long and stressful day and seems quite tired.

"I can't thank you enough for this," Pormalu tells you, although looking exhausted. "I've had a heck of a day trying to sort out everything since the last time we spoke. Listen, I did find a few new things, but we can talk about that in the morning. Come down by the station and I'll show you what we've found. But right now, I need some rest. I hope you understand."

"I appreciate you looking after me," Pormalu tells you. "I wish we had enough resources to protect everyone too, but all we can try to do is stop the Stalkers at the source. I'm glad you haven't given up, and neither have we."

As Pormalu heads off to sleep, you stand guard and watch out for anything suspicious.

#10 Pormalu the Arcanine will be defended against all Stalker attacks for this Night Cycle.
