    Exorcise 81. Finichi the Garbodor.
Recommended listening: Sćglópur - Sigur Rós

Finichi stepped out of her apartment in Destno Public Housing, her mind turning with the usual thoughts: Do I want to live through today? Am I going to be forced to kill? She was used to the ongoing sadness which coated her brain like a tightly wrapped sheet of plastic, but since being targeted by a deadly, psychotic Enthraller possessing no morsel of morality, fear had become much more prominent, gnawing on her at every twist and turn.

She passed a Numel as she headed by Pishter Park, and stopped to look at the giant abandoned skyscraper which Philter had forced her to make her base. She knew the Emissaries had been there. Philter had told her. She had told herself. Philter sometimes felt like her, felt like an ingrained fragment. Philter was her world now, her body’s driver, and controlled most of her actions. She hadn’t felt like herself in months... She wanted to tell people. She wanted to tell Krum, and Pormalu, and Vivanctus. The Eelektross had given her a home at Destno a year back, and she was one of the people who helped Finichi carry on. But no longer... Now she knew she had to die.

Several times she had forced her stubby, disgusting legs to carry her foul body into the subway or to the ocean. Even whilst atop the Starwatcher Skyscraper, she had tried to direct herself off the rooftop. There was nothing Philter could have done once Finichi's feet departed the cement. The sweet release of the freefall would be her final act of self-control and the only sliver of power she had been able to assert over the demon inside of her, but...she was never strong enough.

The Pokémon she had killed were the victims of her failure to gain control over this evil being. She was a victim herself, a selfish, awful person who held her desires with such high regard that she endangered an entire city—possibly a whole country, and then the world. With every passing day, she felt Philter grow stronger, force her more easily, and control every physical or verbal action. Her thoughts were still her own, but nothing else belonged to her anymore. She could talk to people and go to work, but Philter prevented any discussion about its presence within her. No matter how hard she tried, Finichi was never able to overcome the monstrously powerful hold on her that Philter commanded.

But today...today felt different. Today she felt that little bit stronger, that tiny bit more in control.

“You BETRAYED me,” Philter hissed within her, punishing her by controlling her good hand and smacking it square in her face.

She grimaced, whispering, “Y-you’re finished... They’re...coming for me.”

“You worthless, disgusting, hideous creature. Your dreams will never be realised. Your life is worthless. I will end you and find another host!”

Finichi stood her ground, trying to paralyse her body as Philter fought for control. Since the arrival of the Emissaries, the Garbodor had been able to hope again. That hope enabled her to leave clues for them to follow until eventually they found her hideout in the skyscraper. Had the Emissaries and their weak but divine essence not been present, that small shred of control over Philter would not have been possible.

But today was different. She could sense something coming, but she hid it from her Enthraller as much as possible. It had worked. And now, it was only a matter of time.

A rippling sensation of cold, raw fear projected from Philter raked its claws through Finichi’s insides. A figure had shown up, and this wasn’t just any figure. This was the same Pokémon who had interviewed the Archeops who was friends with one of Philter’s recent victims. Just as Finichi had hoped, she was here for her.

    Finally...this nightmare would end.

You hover several metres away from Finichi – Philter – as you prepare what you learned from Kure. His teachings were brief but incredibly powerful, and you know that you possess all the knowledge and skill you need to rid the world of this evil spirit. Its reign of terror was ending today.

You hear Kure’s voice echo in your mind. You remember the Enthrallers you encountered while you were learning, seeking answers, and when you finally understood what you were to do. Now is the time to act, and now is the time that this Enthraller will meet its end.

“You will never TAKE ME!” screams the Garbodor, but you know this isn’t Finichi, but the words of the Enthraller Philter.

A toxic spray of acid shoots your way, and you quickly dash out the way at a blinding speed, crashing into your target and sending her stumbling for a few paces. You slash your wings through the air, sending a wave of sharp currents directly into the Garbodor, causing her to fall over backwards as she succumbs to the occasional effect of temporary incapacitation. You employ a swift electrical shock which shoots through her body to paralyse her, enabling you to move closer and hover right by her side and close your eyes.

The demonic sounds emerging from between the Poison-type’s lips do not deter you as you begin to chant the special incantation that you were taught by Kure. You can see the words already having an effect on the possessed Pokémon beneath you, and for a moment you feel a pang of guilt as the demonic groans fade in and out between the desperate cries of who you know is Finichi trapped inside her own body.

The energy swirls within you, reaching deep within to touch your soul. You open your eyes, feeling the glow around you beginning to grow stronger and larger. You can hear Philter’s foul screams polluting your essence, but the power it has pales in comparison to the ancient teachings of exorcism, and in the blinding light of your divinity, the demon is nothing.

The holy essence rockets into the sky, and as you continue the incantation and feel the cleansing energy course through your veins, you watch as it plummets directly into Finichi, eliciting an immediate grotesque scream of agony. Philter is being ripped from Finichi’s soul, but you can feel that the imprecise and powerful tear is too much for Finichi’s soul to bear. It begins to destroy not only the demon, but the innocent Pokémon as well.

Your mind is flooded with memories and feelings from the infected Garbodor, shocking you and almost breaking your connection. However, Finichi begs you to continue, and you focus all your energy into your task, forcing the final push and destroying the demon forever.

Just as you watch the horrific demon disintegrate with blood-curdling shrieks, you see a final glimpse of Finichi’s spirit rising into the air. You see it not through your eyes, but through your soul. The final second slows down almost to a grinding halt, and you see Finichi for the last time. Her soul is free, at last. The glow of warmth and relief you feel is beautiful, and you know in your heart that Finichi is free. Finally...she is free.

“Thank you,” her soul hums, reverberating through your spirit and never making it to your ears. Then, the soul ascends.

The quiet that follows is haunting. The body of Finichi the Garbodor rests on the footpath across from the Starwatcher Skyscraper, devoid of life.

It took you until now to realise that there are many bystanders, and most if not all of them are fully aware of what you just accomplished. Their gobsmacked expressions convey all that you need to know, but before you can even speak to one of them, your head begins to ache.

Unable to control yourself, you crash into the ground, moaning in pain as your head thumps. It squirms, stretches your cells and slices through your thoughts, poisoning your mind. The pain swells until it is almost unbearable, by which time you are beginning to recognise the type of poison: Enthraller energy.

Velo has suffered 3 points of damage to Sanity.

With your remaining strength, you manage to take flight and shoot unsteadily towards the Emissary hideout. Those who were witness to your actions begin to chatter in confusion, but you know you cannot listen as you head directly for your headquarters.

You know you’ll be okay, but after such a taxing ordeal, you must rest. You think of Finichi and manage a small smile, knowing she is now free and at peace.

    CONGRATULATIONS!

    ...Velo... good luck.
Caagu was one of the bystanders who watched your teammate Velo exorcise an Enthraller from whom he thought was a regular citizen. He is clearly shaken as you approach him just outside the police station, where he had given his witness statement to the police force. You see Sequintia speaking with one other resident and meet eye contact with her. She gives you a brief nod and turns back to her interviewee.

"Who are you?" Caagu asks after you approach him. You can see in his eyes that he assumes you are an Emissary, but he appears to be wary and unsure of his judgement. You put his mind at ease by telling him who you are and explaining the details of the Emissaries' mission. He nods his head slowly, his eyelids falling halfway down his eyes as he begins to relax.

"Are you here for my witness statement?" he asks, sounding reluctant to give it.

You tell him that you are here on separate business, and that his help would be of great value to you. He seems interested, albeit maintains his distance as you begin to expand. You explain that the Stalkers are a terribly blight on the city and that he possesses innate powers which would help you accomplish a task that cannot be completed by an Emissary. You assure him that you and your teammates are all highly capable agents of Mew, but there are some things that you need help with. You guarantee his safety and ask that he assist you, for the only way you can rid the city of the evil Enthraller spirits is by enlisting the help of willing and able citizens interested in making Silvercoal a safe place once more.

You don't stop there. Caagu still looks unconvinced, so you begin to delve into stories of the other citizens of this city who have loaned their help to you. Thanks to them, you have now been able to identify one Stalker and eliminate them, making the city automatically safer. You explain that if more citizens like Caagu were to help, the speed of your ability to identify and eliminate the threats would increase significantly. You repeat that his help could make a huge difference.

"A...alright," he mumbles, "I want to help. But I'm only doing it for my friends and family. I don't know you, although you seem trustworthy..." He falls silent and examines his mind, probably thinking over what he saw not an hour ago. "You know what? Of course I'll help. This city needs to be safe, and people like me need to be brave. What do you need me for?"

Caagu the Numel is now Compliant.

You thank him for his cooperation and explain that someone will be with him later in the day to explain what you need from him. He accepts and bids you farewell, explaining he has some things to do before the time comes.

Many medical staff members are buzzing around inside the Silvercoal Medical Center. Some are attending to patients while others are hurrying toward various offices, patient rooms and elevators. The waiting room is filled with nervous Pokémon present for differing cases and problems, while the many rooms you pass on the way to the elevators are occupied by those who are recovering from surgery or other treatment.

You make your way up to the floors specializing in oncology, cardiology and hematology. The first thing you notice is the sterile smell, followed by the white lights, many curtains, and overall glum ambience. You head down the hall, following the signs pointing you toward the specific area Uru's research pointed to, oncology. There are a few facilities which you can see are occupied by patients in private meetings with the specialists, but you know that in order to find this piece of evidence, you need to sneak in and take a look around.

There is one particular office that catches your attention. There is something inside it which grabs your senses, which you recognize to be Stalker energy. The pungent and nasty stench should repel you, but your duty as an Emissary bangs louder in your head than your instinct to flee. The door is closed, so you turn yourself invisible and turn the handle to enter. The doctor and the patient inside both fix their eyes on the door but you slip by unnoticed, heading for the desk to poke around. The doctor, a frowning Watchog, rises from his seat and makes a move to close the door as the Girafarig patient glances around nervously. You feel the Stalker energy speaking to you through a drawer, which you open to find a small instrument giving off unmistakable dark pulses.

The Watchog moves back to his seat and sits down, apologizing to his patient while you sneak around the desk and make a run for the door, opening it and racing out again. You hear shouts of anger and conclude that the doctor imagined that a Ghost-type or other illusion-caster must have stolen from his office. You realize that you do not have enough time to take the elevator to the ground floor before someone sees a floating piccolo and catches you, so you head for a small window in another doctor's office and force it open, just squeezing your shell through and flying away from the building.

You get several yards away before you land and inspect the instrument you found. You can feel that it belongs to a Stalker, and because Uru's research pointed you here, you put two and two together. The sculptures your teammates found around town must belong to Extol, as well as their corresponding instruments. There is something unsettling about the way this piccolo makes you feel, in particular the fact that its creepy dark energy seems to be mixed with a sick, foul happiness that turns your guts like they were inside a washing machine.

Item [Playful Piccolo] was added to the Team Inventory.

The piccolo's energy isn't enough to affect your sanity, but it does freak you out enough to make you want to put it down. Keeping this in mind, you take your leave and head back to base, hoping there would be no follow-up investigation to the Silvercoal Medical Center thief.

Valcon Glassworks appears to be functioning as normal when you enter, and you head past the floors of scrubbed white tiles and polished machinery to arrive at the destination that Uru alluded to--the sixth floor. Nothing about this floor immediately speaks to you as being special, but you imagine that that's part of the trick for hiding something important: it's being hid in plain sight.

While you think of "plain sight," you also consider that perhaps it isn't as plain and in sight as you first imagined. The searching process takes well over an hour, as you imagine you are looking for another key to his second locked box. You know that all you need is to find the key, and then someone else - or perhaps you later on in the day - can take it to the box located at Summer's Moon Condominiums.

You get excited when you find a bundle of keys lying about, but realise that it's not what you're looking for. The search seems hopeless until you're walking through a short hallway and step on what is clearly a loose floor tile. You take a step back and eyeball the tile before removing it, finding a hole about the diameter of a tennis ball. You reach in a few claws and feel around until a weighty metal piece comes in contact with your feathers. You grab it and extract it, marvelling at what you know to be the very key you are looking for.

Item [MMC Key] was added to the Team Inventory.

Having found what you came here for, you head back to your fellow Emissaries and leave the exterior for someone else to search.

Like what sort of things you three do together, and what they do on their own? You see, I recently found a trap set up specifically to target Natisha in the windstone housing complex. Would you know who might have made that?

Another thing, a friend of mine recently discovered a bunnelby who'd been captured in a cage by you and your friends. Did you or one of your friends make the trap the bunnelby was caught in? If you guys did make it, where did you learn to make traps like that? Where did you get the supplies for it? That reminds me, the bunnelby claimed you had threatened them with bleach, could you tell me where or who you got that bleach from?

Anyway, it would be a huge help if you could tell us where the other bunnelbys are. Why did you three trap decide to target and trap those bunnelby anyway?

You find Hunu by himself just outside of Brookheights School. He doesn't seem interested in anyone or anything else at first as he fiddles with his smartphone while waiting for the bus. You approach him and introduce yourself and ask if he's seen anything suspicious. He then looks at you from the corner of his crimson eye as if you made a face at him.

"Oh nothing, just stories of a couple of dead Pokémon turning up all over town," he tells you cynically like you flipped your lid. "You kidding? Everything is 'suspicious' around here. I find random body parts just laying around like it's nobody's business. Like a severed hand at the park. Seriously, you must have just gotten here or you've had your head stuck in a storm drain and used some razor wire to yank it back out. Welcome to our special hell. Why not buy a 'wish you were here, Silvercoal City, go to hell' postcard to send to all the people you hate?"

You then bring up some of the other questions, asking about Natisha and Min and what Hunu knows about them. You also ask about the trap.

"Friends," Hunu nodded, chuckling when you say that. "Ever have someone you hated so much you actually liked hanging out with them and wanted to one-up every damn annoying thing they did just to prove you're better than them constantly? That's how I feel about Natisha and Min, or who I refer to as Princess Pissface and Admiral Asshat respectively. We steal each other's stuff, we set traps for each other, we break each other's things, and that kind of crap. I send Admiral Asshat to the school nurse, he breaks my phone, Princess spits in my face, I hit her with my textbook, Asshat sets her bookbag on fire, and the cycle goes on. I don't even know who set that trap. Could have been Asshat. Or it could have been something I set up weeks ago and forgot about. Hell if I know."

You then ask about the captured Bunnelby as well as about the cage, the traps, and the supplies. He gives you that look. Even though Hunu started off liking you a bit, he doesn't seem too thrilled you asked about that.

"Why the hell do you care?" Hunu shrugged, spitting on the sidewalk. "You're helping him but you've been totally ignoring me for the past week. And for crap's sake, it was a prank, but oh, screw me though. Whatever. But if you really want to know about the god-forsaken bleach, then wake the hell up and do me a favor for once. Otherwise I'm not telling you a damn thing about it. It means nothing to you anyway."

You then ask about the other Bunnelbys. He looks even more annoyed by that and sucks his teeth in discontentment.

"I swear to pissing Arceus, we had nothing to do with the others," Hunu pouts, really looking aggravated with you. "I didn't even know there were more besides that one. Unless Pissface and Asshat did something I'm not aware about. Why not go ask them these annoying questions? You'll sure as hell be doing me a favor."

Soon enough, the school hoverbus arrives and Hunu puts his phone away and grabs his bag. He seems quite relieved it has finally arrived.

"Great chat," he tells you sarcastically. "I would have enjoyed punching staples in my face a whole lot more than that."

He then boards the bus with several other students and soon enough, the bus takes off and leaves you by yourself.

You decide to pay Caagu the Numel a visit and get his help with something. He gets home from work just in time to see you by his door. He definitely wasn't expecting you, but you then talk to him about the conductors at the textile manufacturing plant.

"I guess," Caagu shrugs. "I kind of had a long day today, but you did me a favor so I'll help out."

You both then head to the Macanan Textile Manufacturing plant, specifically where the upper floors are. The area around it is full of broken machines, damaged supplies, and obsolete raw materials. The area around is a mess, but you head to the back where the console is and relocate the nodes.

"Wow, what a dump," Caagu remarks as he looks around. "Really makes you wonder just how some Pokémon get this negligent to let something like this happen. Sure glad it's not my job to clean this up."

He then approaches the nodes and nods as he recognizes what these are for.

"Ah, now I see why you needed my help," He nods with a smirk. "I'll handle these."

Caagu then focuses on the red node first, taking a deep breath, closing his eyes, and then lets loose a Flame Burst attack on the node, heating it up quickly and causing the trigger mechanism to activate. He then turns to the brown node and then strikes it with an Earth Power attack, causing the ground beneath the node to shake and tremble. And that in turn causes the second node to activate which then opens the metal door in the back.

"Mmm, that was almost fun," Caagu tells you as you both head into the next room.

You both see that this room is nearly empty save for a large but dated computer console stationed beside it with wires and tubes running everywhere along with many machine parts well beyond your knowledge. Both you and Caagu try approach it, but when you get close, the main, large screen suddenly flickers on with a hologram of a Chatot dressed in a black hoodie. You're not even sure if this Chatot is real and being broadcasted from somewhere else or if it's just an AI. He gives you the evil eye as he has a mike wrapped with his wing. Suddenly, a rap beat begins to play in the background.

"Looks like fresh meat," the Chatot replies cynically, looking down upon both of you. "I'll tell ya what, homie, 'cause I'm about to talk street an' I'm about to spit my thug over this here beat while ya take a seat."

"Wait, wait!" Caagu speaks up to the hologram. "Who or what are you?"

"Name's Chatz," he nods as he dances a bit, mocking and taunting Caagu. "Talkin' down the brats before they fall flat. I want to hear ya words rattle as I challenge ya to a rap battle so if ya want me to fork over the goods I'm gonna need ya to talk to me like ya got ya blood from the hoods."

Object: {Argumentative AI: <Diplomacy>} has been noted in the Team Records.

"Uhh... but I don't-" Caagu mutters.

"Well ain't that a shame," Chatz taunts Caagu and you. "One fat camel and one chilly weasel can't bring the rush like a truck still runnin' on diesel. When you're ready to ignite the flame, come at me hard or ya will always just be the same, losin' the game an' never taste the kiss of the fame."

You try to tell it to listen, but even after only muttering a few words, the machine shuts off and the holographic image of the rapper Chatot simply disappears, leaving you two alone in the dimly lit room again. It seems like Chatz is sentient enough to not even want to be bothered to come back on despite your pleas to just have a reasonable conversation.

"AI that wants to rap battle..." Caagu mutters, looking defeat. "That's not something I can do."

Unfortunately, you don't think it's something you can do either. It seems like you'll need someone who has a good way with words to deal with whatever this Chatot seems to be expecting.

You both decide to head back as the sun is coming down.

You find Areggi the Rotom who works as the manager for Indicative Hardware and Appliances at the shopping center. Business is a little slow and he doesn't seem all too happy about it even after all the hard work he puts in to make sure the store is well-stocked, features the latest high-tech gadgets and tools and has plenty of promotions to try and get people to at least take a look.

You approach Areggi and he seems happy at first, but then he realizes you're here to ask about the Stalkers and not actually buy anything. He sighs, and then his eyelids droop a bit over his beady blue eyes. He looks away and seems to recall something.

"So I visited Monty for lunch at the Silver Cloud," he tells you. "Monty. Not sure if you've ever met him before, but he's a Dartix. Yes, really charming chap. I wish he told me how expensive that place was and how he wasn't treating me even though he works there and extended the invitation to me. Word of advice. If they don't show the prices on the menu, RUN."

"I had to leave for a minute and take a walk around," Areggi explains. "Monty was on a rant about how they handle the food there and I was really wondering just why the blazes we were eating there if he wasn't too thrilled about neither working there nor the food they were preparing. He didn't say anything and then changed his mind to say they weren't all that bad, but I'm sure it had to be something along the lines where he got an employee discount. He wouldn't say that to my face, however."

"So while we waited for what seems like forever to get the bill, I was taking a stroll and I noticed they had security processor there," Aregii tells you, seemingly hooked into his own conversation given that there's not really much else he can do with a lack of customers around. "See, I like gizmos and gadgets. A Rotom like myself naturally enjoys these things, so I couldn't help but tinker with it. What I found was strange. There was some kind of fabric contained in it, which didn't make sense. Why? At first, I couldn't explain who would go through so much trouble to lock up a rag until I felt this... otherworldly presence coming out of it. Now that... I've never felt that before. I would have checked it out longer, but I had already been away from the table for fifteen minutes and I don't like leaving Monty alone for that long. Who knows what he'll do."

"Beyond that, well, nothing much save for what the newsfeeds tell me," Aregii replies. "Business has been grim, but I've seen worse. I haven't seen any Stalkers around and frankly, I'd rather not meet the lovely Pokémon responsible for all this. Especially considering how those encounters usually play out."

"Well, nice chatting with you, Lita," Aregii tells you, sighing as he needs to get back to work. "But next time, do me a favor and well... at least buy something. I swear I think you'd like the Firesnap DDX Holophone. The camera in that one is a hell of a lot better than anything else out there at the moment. Plus with 50 Zetabytes of memory, you'd never run out of space!"

You nod with a relaxed smile and then head out on your way.

I thank Areggi for his time and return to base with my notes
Everyone has a dream that fills their heart. A journey they must take. A destiny to fulfill. As close as your imagination exists a magical place, where wondrous creatures with incredible powers help make dreams come true. It's the world of Pokemon!!"

As you head for the seventeenth floor, you can feel in the air that you are about to trigger something important, and something that could help you against the Stalkers. It's an odd feeling, and not one that you have felt before. There is a new sense of hope within you, like a warm wave washing over your skin. This Pokémon's strange appearance in this part of the city combined with the feelings that Sarah and Sam described seem to speak volumes to you. Perhaps, you think, there is more to this Tsareena than you imagined.

You follow the directions Sarah gave you and power into the room, passing the door which was previously locked and you instantly feel an overwhelming spike of terror grip your heart. The swirling mass of dark energy at the back of the room appears smaller than Sarah described, which makes you think whatever power she exerted into it must have worked somewhat to reduce its effects. It still lingers, however, and as you take more steps toward it, you realise just how powerful its pull is. It feels like a sickness brewing in the darkest depths of the underworld; it's like a plague waiting to grip anyone it can weave its tainted energy through. The feeling is nauseating, but you persist, kneeling on your front legs to lean in closer to the Tsareena unconscious on the floor.

You utilise the first aid knowledge that has graced your mind for as long as you can remember, using some salves you brought with you in a pouch combined with your ability as a Suicune to purify water. In this case, you attempt to channel it in such a way that it purifies the shadowy energy still swirling about. As the minutes pass and you begin to feel drained, you can feel the shadow sickness beginning to fade. This motivates you to delve deeper into your work, trying your hardest to find the source and also to revitilise the Grass type physically, as it seems she sustained many bodily wounds as well.

The process you undertook lasts longer than you anticipated, but after a few hours, you manage to dispel the shadow energy completely and tend to all wounds you were able to detect. The Tsareena, whose age seems indeterminate and whose presence in this room surrounded by the dark energy still puzzles you, remains unconscious. You hoped she would wake up, but after waiting yet another half hour, there appears to be no change in her condition. You then decide that the best course of action would be to take her back to the Emissary Quarters. At first you are hesitant, but you figure that if worst comes to worst, you can always use your expert skills to restrain her if she regains consciousness and greets you with hostility.

Ultimately electing to follow your gut, you sling her over your back and leap through the daylight not quite as invisibly as you'd hoped. Regardless, you know that the Tsareena is now safe in your care.

The darkness around me is fading slowly.

My head...my heart...my body. I feel heavy, burdened. This weight pressing on my chest and my mind grows ever tiresome. It consumes me, grips me, twists my feelings. However it...appears to be lifting. Clarity is becoming tangible and the terror once presiding within me feels almost...gone. Almost.

A shift in my energy allows me to wake. No longer am I a prisoner to this persistent darkness. As my eyes open, I see your figure. You are watching over me, perhaps to guard me or perhaps to imprison me once more. You are a Suicune, a mythical Pokémon whose virtues include purification and freedom. I use this knowledge to guide me as I slowly rise.

You jump to your feet, and I freeze, locking our eyes. “Do not be afraid,” I assure you, my voice deep and soothing. I carefully analyse your body language as you appear to do the same for me, and for a moment we are trapped in a standstill.

But then I sense it. I can feel the presence within you. “Are you...an agent of Mew?” I ask, and you appear marginally shocked before affirming my suspicions. Relief wraps its warm arms around me as I ascend fully into a stand. “Thank Arceus,” I sigh, giving you a low bow. “I am Krysari, the Emeraldsoul Sage.” You do not seem to be aware of what or who I am, and I wonder just how much Mew divulged to you before sending you here. “I am a Utopian Angel, my dear. One of five present in your city.”

The look of confusion on your face no longer surprises me. It appears as if I will need to discuss everything with you.

“Firstly, I must thank you. The Shadow Plague had me in its dastardly grasp, but it seems...your skills of resuscitation combined with your divine powers from Mew were able to stir me from what would otherwise have been an eternal slumber. You have my gratitude.” Another bow. No quantity of bows can convey my gratitude sufficiently. “Angels are Pokémon chosen in Utopia, the heavenly kingdom unreachable through ordinary means, to guide, teach and protect its realms. Mew is Utopia’s messiah, and the Angels are its guardians. As I disclosed, I am the Emeraldsoul Sage. My role is to inspire, pass on wisdom, and bring peace. As a sage, I have valuable possessions that I believe...were separated from me when the other Angels and I descended from Utopia.

“The Enthrallers are evil, malicious and destructive creatures who seek only to fulfil their sick agenda. I am not privy to the entire agenda, so unfortunately what I can tell you about their mission is limited. One of the other Angels I descended with may be able to tell you more... And this brings me to my next point.

“Five Angels were chosen to combat the horrors that the Enthrallers have wrought upon this city. We were certain that our strength combined would be enough to liberate the innocents of this world, but we did not move quickly enough, and our plans were intercepted by agents of the Abyss... They had already developed a weapon to use against us were we to show ourselves, and this was the Shadow Parasite. Although you dispelled the plague, the parasite still resides within me and I...will be unable to complete my duties. Therefore, it is up to you and the other Emissaries.

“I am sure you are aware of the Sin Purge Ritual. This ritual is a sacred set of instructions that must be followed in order for the city to be cleansed of the evil that chokes it. However, this ritual...is impossible without the help of all five Angels. Worse yet, none of us will be able to fulfil our roles, which means you and your fellow Emissaries must retrieve all of our possessions and complete our duties in our stead.

“I can feel the parasite within me... It saps my energy and drains my powers significantly. The only possible way to remove it is for me to return to Utopia, but I cannot do that without the help of the other Angels. We simply do not have time, which is why you must take up arms and complete what the other Angels and I started. Fortunately, you seem immune to the Shadow Parasite, although the effects of the plague still affect you...and damage your mind. I am sure you know this well enough by now.

“There are five steps involved in the ritual’s setup and completion. I can provide you with the first step, and the other four Angels will be able to help you with the rest. The first requires uncovering Hallowed Ground and blessing it with a special gift called Seinaru. Seinaru is impossible for you to learn without the help of an Angel... As I am injured, I can only teach one Emissary Seinaru right now. As you discover more Angels, more of you will be able to learn Seinaru. But for now, you must bring me one willing learner so that I may teach you how to read our language, how to speak it, and how to bless what needs to be blessed."

Krysari the Tsareena can teach 1 Emissary the “Seinaru” Ability.

“In order for my role to be completed, you must find my four holy possessions: my Rod of Light, Jadestone Bangle, Stonequarter Cloak and my precious tome, Wisdom of Ages. Oh—I can see that you already possess a page from the Wisdom of Ages, and my [Broken Jadestone Bangle]! To complete the bangle, you must find the Shimmer Crystal and Glimmer Crystal, then repair the three pieces to reconstruct it. I am able to detect that one of them resides in some kind of...vehicle hanger. The other is only one or two locations away. Both are right near the fringe of the city... I hope that helps.

“At the start of every day and every night, I will be able to detect the location of one of my possessions, of which I will notify you as the sun falls and rises. I can sense that you have other Angel objects in your possession. Allow me to organise your Team Inventory so that you can distinguish those items properly. I cannot identify which items belong to which Angel, but if you find a possession of mine, I will be able to tell you. The Enthrallers may have hidden them about the city, unfortunately..."

Utopia Angel items in the Team Inventory have been organised!

“I have done enough speaking. Please come and see me if you have further questions, as I will remain here in the safety of your quarters. I believe this place is shielded from the Enthrallers, so they will be unable to detect me here as they have been unable to detect the Emissaries. Once more, thank you, Tazz.”

Krysari the Tsareena has been added to the Discovered Utopia Angels list in the third post!
Krysari grants a +1 Sanity restoration bonus every time an Emissary uses Rest.
