You decide to head into the southern field of Jekker Park tonight, which still feels very creepy and unsettling at night. The moonlight creates the creepiest shadows on the ground and you still here all kinds of noises that seem like they shouldn't belong in a park. But you can't identify where they're coming from or what the source of those could be.

It seems like this area of the park doesn't get too many visitors. It seems like there used to be a field here for kids to play Strikeball, but it appears it hasn't been used in ages. Grass is starting to make it hard a playing field even exists in the first place and the goal cages have already started leaning over from age and neglect.

You get to another area where there seem to be plenty of trees, but the paths no longer venture into this area. And yet, after looking on the ground, you see it seems like there are disturbances. Some of the grass becomes unusually dead and dry. You decide to follow these disturbances and they take you to what looks like a small statue of an Eevee, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. At first, it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with it, but then you look at its face and...

...it's missing its eyes and its mouth is gaping with a massive hole. It's very disturbing and it definitely doesn't seem like anything the parks and recreation department is aware about. Meanwhile, there is a disturbing message here that looks like someone scratched it in.

STAKE HER! STAKE HER IN THE EYES AND MOUTH SO SHE CAN'T SEE YOU AND YOU CAN SHUT HER UP FOREVER!

Object {Macabre Eevee Statue: Eye Socket, Eye Socket, Mouth Socket} has been noted in the Team Records.

You take a closer look and it seems some kind of rod or pole-shaped object is intended to be rammed into each of these three sockets. Still, the depiction of an Eevee without eyes and with a gaping mouth gives it the impression like its soul was sucked out.

You check out the rest of the park, but you don't find anything else. Odd thing is, you pass by the Eevee statue two more times while searching, and you can swear its changing the way its facing...

You decide to head back, getting your fill of creepiness for the evening...

You decide to head to the Goldwell Tools Manufacturing Plant at night, where everything has been shut off for the evening hours. The lights have all been turned off, but you're able to at least look with the headlamp you have.

You find Goldwell uses this area for the engineering of new mass-production machines and factory solutions. As you can see, a lot of the machine prototypes here are built for all kinds of purposes. Some are used for cutting, sorting, coloring, coating, and many other tasks that are intended to be done countless times within seconds to hundreds of produced goods.

When you get to the fifth floor, it seems the machines here are undergoing testing and in cases where there were failures or flaws in the processes, diagnostic and troubleshooting is being done to identify the problem or make the device more effective and efficient. As you can tell, Goldwell does a lot of this diagnostic work on CAD drawings and with computers, and since they're all offline, there's really not much to see how exactly the work is going.

On this floor, you find a loose key on the floor. At first, it doesn't seem like anything too much out of the ordinary, but it seems like it's an engine ignition key. Normally, something like this could be normal around here, but it doesn't match the types of keys that Goldwell has as standard issue. But your hunch is further confirmed when you observe it closely and sense a Stalker trace on it. You decide this is definitely something you might want to hold onto.

Item [9DX Ignition Engine Key] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You then decide to head up to the sixth floor. Here, it seems like component design and evaluation is performed. As you can tell, Goldwell has also been manufacturing metallic raw material components that are intended to be involved with the production of other devices. Again, while there are many prototypes, their device designs and specifications are likely locked away on the computer workstations. Definitely doesn't seem like the kind of thing Goldwell would just want laying around casually.

While here, you find a purple scale on the floor. You look around and wonder if this might have come out naturally, was part of a minor work-related injury, or is from something else, but it seems like it would be worth it for Tashy to test this. There's no telling if this belongs to a Stalker or not, but it's worth a try.

Pokémon Sample [Purple Scale] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You finish your search through the sixth floor, but you don't find anything else. You decide to head back with the things you've found.

You decide to head over to the small Dayshare Apartments building, which at night, looks pretty creepy. The building is old and is usually home to Pokémon that can barely afford to live here or can't find somewhere else to stay. You decide to check out the inside first, and it seems like the place is in really bad shape. The wooden floor is rotting and splintering, the walls are peeling apart in many places, and quite a few of the apartments don't actually have a working lock. You'd also say only about a third of the lights actually work, and with even those numbers, some of them are flickering in a somewhat spooky way.

The creepy thing that strikes you the hardest is that it seems like many of the tenants are dead. Their rooms are still filled with all their personal belongings, but no one lives there anymore except for their ghosts. Still, most of these apartments are in bad shape, also. Personally, you have the feeling you'd almost rather live in the park or under a bridge than live in a place like this that feels more like a haunted house.

It seems only three living Pokémon still reside here: Vasha, Zell, and Caka. You get the feeling none of them like it here at all, but the Sandwoods Apartment building has already reached maxed occupancy and anything else is probably beyond their budget. You check their rooms but you don't find anything unusual. The sad thing is, it seems like all three of these Pokémon could afford to move out if there was a better place within their budget to move to.

You decide to search the exterior to see if there's something of interest out there. While it is dark, you come across what looks like a ripped paper note on the wall. It seems like someone wrote it quickly and feverishly, though the words seem deranged and are incoherent...

Message =The Paper Rambling= has been noted in the Team Records.

It definitely seems to be Overkill's work and it gives you the creeps. But, at least it's not nearly as bad as coming across unholy blood rituals and cursed, bloody nails. Compared to those, this is pleasant in comparison.

You decide to head back to base for the rest of the night.

#45 Tashy the Furret was successfully defended from a Stalker attack last night!
    @Bulbasaur

While you were staying guard by Tashy's hidden apartment, things seems like they were going to be quiet for the night. Tashy had told you that she was going to work on purifying the holy water and screen the yellow fur for confirmation. It seemed like nothing out of the ordinary and you were curious to see how this whole process works. Meanwhile, Tashy was more than happy to share some of her cookies with you and you swore they were so delicious they made the best ice cream you've ever had taste like crap in comparison.

It had been several hours into the night, and despite keeping a long vigilant watch, you didn't feel lethargic or sleepy. Where some Pokémon might doze off or get distracted out of boredom, you're definitely not the type that succumbs to that.

At an odd hour, you detected a forced entry through Tashy's apartment door. The creepy thing was it was quiet. FAR more quiet than it should have been, but you knew something was wrong. Then you saw firsthand what Stalkers are capable of doing before they strike. They can make strikes without a sound, they can dim the light, and they can use their dark, unholy powers to attack.

And tonight they intended to kill Tashy, but they didn't count on you being there...

You saw the Stalker attempt to assassinate Tashy, but before they could even lay eyes on the Furret, you ambushed them and countered with everything you had. They tried to dash past you, but your Razor Leaf attack and your Vine Whip strikes ensured they didn't even get close. Seeing as how they would have to get through you, they hit you with some unholy attack in the form of some shadowy pulse, but when you attempted to immobilize them with Sleep Powder, they fled.

Eric has suffered 1 Damage to Health.

It seemed they knew if they succumbed to that attack, their true nature would be exposed, but already they had been compromised as a result of this.

THINGS YOU OBSERVED DURING THE STRIKE
    • The attacker was a Medium (M) sized Pokémon.
    • The lighting had been dimmed by the Enthraller's unholy power, but you saw the Stalker's body was mostly green in color. You could not see clearly enough to determine what species they were.
    • The Stalker was severely lacerated by your Razor Leaf attack. You are confident these lacerations will persist and will be observed if an Emissary interviews this Pokémon, but these injuries won't last for long. You suspect they'll only be around for about three days before they can't be seen anymore by the healing.

You only wish they had succumbed to the Sleep Powder, but you saved Tashy's life and learned quite a bit about your attacker. Now the tables have been turned.

Tashy gives you the biggest hug and promises you she'll make a feast in your honor for saving her life. Consider yourself a hero.

Alright, with the information Ericsaur brought in last night, I say we talk to #15 Drana the Maractus.

Ah! There I see her! Hello Ms. Drana! How are you today? Doing well I hope. My little companion here has come down with whatever cold is going around, and it's left her absolutely misreable. Though I guess that's nothing to compare with the true pandemic in the area, the Stalkers. Speaking of them, have you happened to notice anything suspicious lately? Maybe a shady character or two, someone with a weird injury, etc. Just anything really out of the ordinary.

Hey! Hey! (kanja the) Kecleon over there! Could I talk to you for a moment? Yeah, see I was wondering if you've seen anything particularly out of place recently. Weird or special looking objects in odd places or people acting differently than usual.

Thank you, Eric, for keeping me alive and kickin' today! That should teach 'em never to come back!

I think I'll get working on this second [Porcelain Bowl] and see what this [Purple Shred] is about.
