It seems activity here isn't as bustling as it used to be, however. A lot of the trucks look like they've been idle for weeks and it doesn't seem like all that much is being exported at a time like this. Still the facility has been functioning and while you check out the outside, it seems like the condition of the building is in relatively good shape. You figure if it weren't for the Stalkers, this place really wouldn't be having problems doing business.

While checking around the exterior, you find what looks like a very oddly shaped rock. When you take a closer look, it seems like it was carved and stashed away here. You turn it over and you're suddenly greeted with the horrifying, undead face of decapitated Nidoking, who gives you the sudden halluċ̛̝̼̟̮̓͗̂̈̐ͧ̒̆͟ination that he's screa̪̦̱̮ͯͧ̍ͭ̏̿̇ͩ̕͟ming and his mo̧͂̑̈̽̀̾͆͗ͯ͟͏͏̵͕̗͍̪͉̩uth is rea̪̦̱̮ͯͧ̍ͭ̏̿̇ͩ̕͟ching for yo̧͂̑̈̽̀̾͆͗ͯ͟͏͏̵͕̗͍̪͉̩ur faċ̛̝̼̟̮̓͗̂̈̐ͧ̒̆͟e.

    #Disturbing Presence# Trap 40% Evasion Test: 41 out of 100: Failed

Lita has suffered 1 Damage to Sanity.

You're suddenly so filled with fright that you almost v̶̩̝͙̳͉͈͔͉̯̳͎̹͇̠̞̬͉͟͟ͅo̴̰͖͎̘͈̙̦̤̼̹̜̲͇̹̫͚͞͝ͅm̯͘͟͟͟͝ ̣̲̣̯̦̲i̷̫͓̟͕̬̰̘̫̤̲̞̼͉͟ͅt̴̸̛̗̼̳̰̬͔̮̦͚̺̭̻̜̺͘.͟҉̨̳͎͢͢ ̰̥̤̪͙̙̰̲͕̥̞͈̘̼̞̻̦.

Trying to look away and steel yourself, you really don't feel like handling this macabre thing, but you know it doesn't belong here and it likely something one of the Stalkers tried to hide and stash away for later. You figure there's a reason why this thing exists in the first place, so you psyche yourself up and take it with you.

Item [Nidoking Head] #Disturbing Presence# (1 Sanity Damage) has been added to the Team Inventory.

As you try to catch your breath and get your heart rate to calm down, you decide to head into the main building itself, where here, most of the work done is sorting, bookkeeping, checking shipment manifests, and making sure the right shipments go to the right customers and that all orders are verified and validated before going out. It seems like a lot of the work is done by computer, which is good because you imagine trying to do this with only paper would be painfully complicated and loopy.

While searching around, you notice a small tuft of lavender-colored fur snagged underneath a wooden create. You imagine the crate might have landed on some Pokémon's foot and as a result, yanked this clump of fur out when the Pokémon pulled it away. It makes you wince just thinking about how that must have been a really nasty pinch, but still, you wonder if there's a chance there could be some connection to this and a plausible Stalker.

You decide to take the sample with you for Tashy's testing.

Pokémon Sample [Lavender Fur] was added to the Team Inventory.

You check out the rest of the offices and filing areas, but you don't really find anything that seems weird or unordinary around here. As before, it seems like a good number of staff personnel are missing, but you already know why that is.

You decide to head back to base and prepare for tonight.

You find Pyra working at the Law Offices of Veckly, Jeb, and Grenner where she's serving as a paralegal for Jeb. You can get a sense for her personality considering how orderly her desk is and how organized she seems to be with keeping everything tidy, neat, and in order.

"Hello there," she greets you in a very business and professionally-sounding tone. "Can I help you with something?"

You ask her about what she knows regarding the Stalkers, and she realizes you're not here for legal counsel or advice. It doesn't bother for the most part, though judging from the look on her face, she's definitely not really into small talk. But on the other side, she certainly hasn't been living under a rock when it comes to the situation regarding the Stalkers.

"Wish I could tell you more, but my knowledge in criminal homicide is very limited," Pyra tells you, looking skeptical about what she can tell you. "I deal with real estate matters, so landlords, tenant eviction, property lines, and that kind of thing."

She looks around, trying to see if she can bring up something that might be related and could be useful to you. She take a moment to flip through her records, and she decides to bring something up that looks like it has come up before with her. It seems as though she's had to dig pretty deep into her archived records, but she feels it wouldn't be right to leave you empty-handed.

"Now, this may be nothing and might just be a stretch, there's something strange about Morning Chime," Pyra tells you. "It's a small motel as far south as you can go in this town. I have no idea why this is, but the owner and manager, a Drampa named Vols, has done something to make that place not even exist on property lines. It's not even considered an official part of Southwarren even though the gas station right across the street from it still is. So technically, this thing sits in the middle of no man's land and Vols might not even be paying taxes. I don't get that and it has always struck me as suspicious. It may just be a small detail, but it just seems really fishy. And Vols is impossible to talk to. His head is so up in the clouds it's not even funny. If that's connected to these Stalkers, I wouldn't be surprised."

"I'm afraid that's all I can really help you with, Sam," Pyra shrugs, feeling as though she just isn't too familiar or in the loop as far as Stalker concerns go. "I'm just a paralegal. You might need some real detectives to take a closer look into things like that, but it was nice talking to you."

She then turns around and returns to her work.

You find Cray working at the Simple Pleasures Diner where he's the main executive chef. Watching from a distance, you see he seems to enjoy his work and really gets into making the kitchen seem like a lively and fun place to work. He has a great sense of humor, makes it easy to laugh, and seems to get along nicely with the rest of the kitchen staff. From and outside glance, you don't see any injuries on him.

He gets told by another waiter that you're there to see him, and when he's able to catch a break, he stops for a moment to talk to you. You ask about the Stalkers, but it seems like some of his spirit drains from that and suddenly his whimsical nature fades.

"Yeah, hey there, but... I don't think I can be of much help with that," Cray tells you honesty, trying to keep a slight smile as he shrugs. "Not a great subject, you know how it is, right?"

It seems he's very quick to change the subject.

"Say, you should try our Razz Berry Cobbler!" Cray tells you, seemingly looking a bit better once he's stopped talking about Stalkers, "They taste great and they're fun to make. Or if that's not your thing, Cherry Bang Pie with some ice cream will bring tears to your eyes. Well, I gotta back to work, but you should order those sometime!"

He then heads back to his kitchen station and it seems like he's back to his usual self. As you can see, he works quickly and is always on the move, but it still seems like he enjoys it even though it looks exhausting to just watch it all.

You find Rancha sitting at her lavish desk at the Southwarren Administration Building. She seems to be deep in thought, but with a look on her face that makes it appear like she's scheming or plotting revenge on someone or something. When she sees you arrive, she nods.

"Finally, someone that looks like they know what they're doing," Rancha smirks with a dark look in her eyes. "I swear, our town's police force is a joke and they haven't done a damnable thing since this whole catastrophe started."

You ask her about what she knows and she nods. It seems like she's had this information kept under wraps for a while now.

"Someone reported seeing... something at the Sunnytown Strip Mall," Rancha tells you. "I've gotten at least three complaint reports about that place and I sent one of my clerks down there to check it out. Next thing I know, I get a phone call about him ending up at the medical clinic after pissing himself. You ask me, that's Stalker-related without a doubt and one of those creepy taint wagons is using that pathetic place as a staging area to harass this whole town. The police don't want to check it out and I really question what the hell I'm paying them for."

"There's something else I've noticed around town, also," Rancha informs you. "Maybe you've seen it once or twice yourself. 553590. I thought it was a code at first but I'm seeing that same number in places where it doesn't even make sense. And then I realized what the hell that number infers. OBSESS. That's what you get when you turn that damnable thing upside down. And that tripe sounds like just the kind of thing a Stalker would do, so if you see that stupid number again, I guarantee you a Stalker is behind it. I told the proconsul about this and he mentioned he saw that same stupid number scratched into the wall Copperplate Hotel and of course everyone's favorite place, the Temple. You ask the cops about checking those places out and all they're concerned about is huddling around like dummies and just yakking on about whatever hideous murder happened last night. I need people out there, damn it."

"Anyway, look into these, please," Rancha requests. "I'd do it myself but I have a town of idiots to run and I can barely keep on top of that as is. At least this town has you people around so we're not entirely hopeless."

She sighs and then gets back to her paperwork. It seems like she still has a lot to do before she can head home tonight, so you let her continue with her work.

You head over to Ferris's house and it's clear the Pignite doesn't take very good care of this property at all. As one of the few Pokémon that owns their own home and doesn't rent an apartment, you definitely feel he could do a whole lot better. Renovations are badly needed, especially with the mason work and a lot of the wooden fixtures, beams, fences, frames, molding, and doors either need sealant or need to be replaced entirely.

Not to mention Ferris leaves a lot of junk around. His rusty tractor, which hasn't been used in likely over a decade, looks well beyond repair and belongs in a scrap heap. There's also the rusty husk of a car that you can't imagine why anyone would want to keep around. Beyond that, Ferris leaves a lot of hardware and outdoor tools outside to just lay around everywhere and be subject to the elements. And to top that all off, there's garbage, scrap, debris, and other piles of junk all over the place. As you search the exterior, there's just an overabundance of junk. While searching around the back, you find a black feather that probably dropped off of a bird Pokémon. You look it over and wonder if maybe this is a Stalker's feather. It's worth a try, so you take it with you.

Pokémon Sample [Black Feather] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You then brace yourself and head inside. As you expected, the things you saw on the outside reflect what you see in the interior.

The foyer is outright disgusting. There's dirt everywhere and most of it was tracked in from those walking in from the front door that Ferris never bothered to clean up after. Only two out of the five lights in the chandelier actually work and the tacky pea-soup colored wallpaper is peeling off of the walls. It also really smells and stinks of alcohol and manure. You get to the living room, where Ferris has magazines, catalogs, newspapers, and books in piles and stacks like paper skyscrapers. Junky knick-knacks are also all over the place as well.

As you look around the piles of junk, floor, and furniture, you feel something doesn't seem right, but you can't quite put your paw on it. Normally one would think Ferris is a slob and is the only one who lives here, but you see some other kind of pattern going on with the disturbances in the dusty, crumb-caked carpet, as if someone else has been here besides Ferris and he's not aware of it. You have trouble tracking it, but maybe someone who can observe it from another standpoint might be able to figure out what exactly is the reason for this.

Objective {Mysterious Living Room: <Science>} has been noted in the Team Records.

You decide to check the kitchen, and... you kind of wish you hadn't. You figure Ferris still hasn't realized his refrigerator is no longer working but that hasn't stopped him from stuffing it with obviously perishable items. Well, at least you know where the smell is coming from. Only two out of the four burners of his stove still work, and the light flickers in kind of a creepy way.

His bathroom is oddly wet for reasons you aren't quite sure, and there's water damage in many locations. The toilet seat is broken, the tiles are popping out of the floor, and the sink still drips no matter how tight you try to turn the knob. Meanwhile, Ferris's bedroom is a complete junkyard. You can tell this is where Ferris eats his meals right on his soiled, unmade bed in front of the television when really he shouldn't. It also looks like food he ate two weeks ago is still sitting around in here.

You feel you'd seen more than enough and you kind of wonder if you'd like to go back to seeing bloody nails and unfinished blood rituals again as opposed to seeing something like this again...

You find Rolia working at the Southwarren Medical Center where she's a nurse who just doesn't look like she's enjoying the job very much. Judging by the way she handles it, it seems she's quick to do the bare minimum. You also get the feeling someone, most likely her parents, forced her to take this career path against her wishes. Meanwhile, she doesn't talk too much at all and basically keeps to herself.

You ask Rolia about what she knows when it comes to all things Stalker-related. She nods, looking like she wouldn't mind helping, but she looks pressured to do so.

"Oh... hey there," Rolia replies to you, looking like she hasn't smiled in days. "I'm not sure if I'm allowed to talk during work hours, but... well, I hope it's okay."

"I... made the mistake of talking to Yandil the other day," Rolia shrugs. "Everyone says to stay away from him, but I thought they were just being judgmental. I thought I'd maybe try to open up to someone who probably feels like I do but... he was just mean in a really freaky kind of way. He's just... I dunno, unnatural. I've seen mean Pokémon. Heck, my landlord... ugh, Ledric, is such a jerk, but Yandil is just... He just seems menacing and seems to hate you just for existing in front of him. I haven't talked to him since. He's better off... no... he deserves to be alone."

"I really should try to find a new friend," Rolia sighs. "The ways things are don't make it easy. Pokémon don't trust each other now, everyone's afraid, so many have left, and even I wonder just what am I doing here. It's taking too much time to figure out where I'm supposed to be."

"Well, sorry I couldn't be of much help," Rolia shrugs, still looking iffy. "Maybe talk to Jessy. I think she's seen a few things. I tried to befriend her and she's really nice, but I'm just not as... well... lively and proactive as she is. Trying to be friends with her is like trying to always race with someone's who is years ahead of you."

"Well, gotta go," Rolia shrugs again. "Nice meeting you, Julia."

She then returns to her work and sighs as she picks back up from where she left off.

    Hi Franny!

We're back! How are you? Pretty busy lately? Just wanted to know if anyone came in with some suspicious cuts. We're on the lookout for a medium sized 'mon with mostly green coloring, and they should have cuts, like from a razor leaf attack. Have you seen anyone come by with that description?
