You head over to the local diner at the heart of Southwarren, where this old restaurant has been around for a long time, but like an old friend, still remains as a nice, welcoming place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It also seems to be very popular with Pokémon of all ages.

As you check around the outside, you find the diner is pretty old and could use a little renovations, but in a way, this rustic appearance gives it character also. You find it's not all that bad and it seems like most of the important features of the building are taken care of. You check outside around the dumpers, and you find what looks like a stainless steel bowl in the trash. You pull it out, look it over, and it seems like with a bit of cleaning, it could be used for Tashy's Sin Purge Ritual. You figure it's seen a lot of wear and tear and it probably was decided they needed new bowls, but you find this one could still be used one last time.

Item [Stainless Steel Bowl] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You head inside and it seems like quite a lunch crowd has gathered. Some Pokémon are even waiting by the door for a table to open up. It seems as though the situation with the Stalkers hasn't changed life here too much, though you can hear Pokémon often whispering about them. It seems like mostly suspicions, but you think you hear Yandil's name come up a few times.

The restaurant itself looks old-fashioned and a bit worn, but in a way, it gives it that welcoming character as if you were a kid again visiting grandma's house. The black and white checker-tiled floor, the light-yellow walls with paintings of food, and the wooden tables and booths have definitely seen a lot of use over the years, but it still gives it that homey kind of feeling.

The food smells quite good and you're almost tempted to stop for a moment to grab a sandwich or even try one of the diner's brunch options. It's hard not to think about it after seeing Pacha the Cinccino and the delicious-looking stack of pancakes she decided to order.

You continue your search around the restaurant dining area and then sneak your way into the kitchen where the staff is pretty hard at work and doesn't take too many breaks at all. You don't really find anything out of the ordinary here, but when you take a look through the trash bin that's to head out, you notice a few things.

It seems like one of the white mixing bowls was thrown out, even though you can't quite find anything wrong with it. You decide to take it with you for Tashy's Sin Purge Ritual.

Item [White Bowl] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You search in a little deeper and you find a half-used dinner candle. It seems like it could still be used for the ritual, although you can see why the staff probably thought this candle was too used up to use for tonight's dinner service. You think Tashy might still be able to use it.

Item [Dinner Candle] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You make one last search through the staff area, but you don't really find anything else that seems to stick out. You decide to head back to base to see if Tashy can make use of these potential Sin Purge items you've found.

I'm *sniff* so p̞͙͖̩ro̠̪͎̥̞̩u̟̟d̼͔̱̺͔̲ͅ of you.

You gather up those three such adorable and charming figurines and you take them with you to Dwight Manufacturing. Kind of like taking Spot the dog to the vet! To get neutered when he doesn't suspect it! Only this is much worse.

You get there and jolly days, Dwight Manufacturing looks just as b̡̟̖̤̫̝̺̼̤̲̔̔̐̐͘loody a͔̥̬͖̜w̩̹̩f̖͓̟̫̳̖͎u͓̞͖̺l͉̯͕̳ as the last time your friends were here. Well, as yo̵̜̼̗͓̤̤̰͐̓̃͊ͧ̚͞u can tell, not too many Pokémon have been here recently for obvious reasons. Obviously the line to the Space Mountain ride doesn't go through here.

You head to the southern side of the building to find that lovely old blast furnace you were looking for. Oh, so inviting. Really makes you just want to climb inside and make some s'mores, doesn't it?

You find the three mounts and... oh dear. Yep, they're for these cute little figurines! And you look below the mount and behold the l͚̲͉o̦̭̱̦̟v̙͙̪el̘y inscription once again:

SEND THE CHILDREN TO THEIR FIERY DEATHS. THE PERFECT WAY TO STEP CLOSER INTO ABYSS.

Well, what the hell are you waiting for!?

You gather up and whip out all three of those such ad̤̻̰̻̳̖̱ͯ͂ͫ͛͟͡orable, happy baby Pokémon figurines. Sweet mother of mercy, they really have no ć̷̳̪͈̟̗͐͟lue what you're doing. First you start with the Igglybuff. Goodness, she looks so happy. Yeah, stuff her on the mount! Right there! Perfect spot! Next, yeah, get that totally oblivious Cleffa on there. Who does she think she is, feeling happy!? Well, you're certainly going to f̫̠͔ix͕͓͙̣ that up reeeeeaaaall fast! And lastly, oh, that Pichu. Yeahhh, get h̴̛͙̣̻̱͔̟͍̊́̓̿͋ͦͥ̿̚is sorry butt up there too. He looks so happy, but boy, you're a real badass and you're going to mess him up real bad! Oh, the whole lot of them look so cute together. Damn those smiles. You've had a bad day and now that's just going to spread all over everyone else r͙i͍̰̲̫g̞̱̭̠̘h̤͇͔͍t̟̻̖̺̠̮ ̟͓̭ͅn̟ow̤̣̖.

Items [Igglybuff Figurine], [Cleffa Figurine], and [Pichu Figurine] have been removed from the Team Inventory. No, Sarah, you sure ain't getting these back.

You press the button on the starter. Oh, and now you get to watch as the heavy machine rumbles on and you see the mount carrying those oh so cute kiddies get drawn closer and closer to the incineration zone! "What's happening, Mommy!?" "I thought we were going to the park to play!?"

The flames immediately blast all over those three figurines like the devil just h̴̛͙̣̻̱͔̟͍̊́̓̿͋ͦͥ̿̚ad a massive fiery diarrhea and fire combo all over them.

You actually hear the screaming. THE Sͮ̊͗ͬ́̈́C͖̥͗ͦͬ̽̚R͔͕̗̾ͫE̱̠̤̦͎̊͒ͨÄ̺͓̭̣́ͦM͖͇͎̖̦̂ͮ̀͗̒ͦͩ ̼͓I̲̝͖̱̹̓͒ͅN͕͍͉ͮ̂̋̎͌G̰ͣͤ̊ͪͨ͛!̬͍̇̇̽̒͐̑̐!̟͕̮͍ͮ Why, screaming children, Sarah! Wait, they were just figurines, right!? RIGHT!? They weren't actually...

And then, the flames just cease, all in an instant. Well, look at that, there's nothing left! Suddenly, a lever b̡̟̖̤̫̝̺̼̤̲̔̔̐̐͘elow the mount opens and something metallic falls out. You waddle over to check it out and wow, for your karma, you find a rusty key! It's the glittering prize you where h̴̛͙̣̻̱͔̟͍̊́̓̿͋ͦͥ̿̚oping for! Oh, so that's what happens. Did the ć̷̳̪͈̟̗͐͟urious cat get that satisfaction back?

Item [Rusty Key] has been added to the Team Inventory. Now doesn't that feel so worth it!?

Oh, you feel fabulous right n̩͖̹̖̟̼o̺̩̥͚ͅw̥̳. Like a lovely rose that a child wanted to grab and take home with them up until your thorns made their hand take one b̡̟̖̤̫̝̺̼̤̲̔̔̐̐͘ig step closer toward looking like ground beef. So p͔̱̬̙͉re̞̼̝̻͖̩c̣̩͉̜̙̼i͓̜̖̦o̹̳̹u̝s̯̭̻͙.

You find several other Emissaries are resting here and taking the time to recover for what comes next. As you climb into bed, the cushion of the mattress and the cozy feeling of the bed sheets make it easy to relax and give your body the comfort it needs to recover. Once you get comfortable, you close your eyes and let gentle and serene sleep take you away.

You decide to use this morning to rest up and clear your head of some of the rather grizzly things you've encountered recently. Memories and thoughts of what happened back at The Escapist Bookstore still haven't gone away and you feel what you could really use right now would be something to clear your head of that.

You decide to rest up and use a bed to good nap. The beds are cozy and you find it easy to relax and refresh yourself. You close your eyes and let pleasant dreams make it easy to forget what just happened not too long ago.

Rusty O'Toole has recovered 1 Point of Sanity.

As the path has grown darker and even more dangerous, you find it's best to make sure you're fully ready for anything, as judging from what you've seen and heard from the others, there's a lot of grizzly things still out there and it doesn't seem to be letting up.

You decide to climb into one of the beds and you find it's surprisingly easy to get cozy and just relax. It helps your body feel at peace to recover from your injuries and it puts your mind at ease, allowing you to close your eyes, dream pleasant things, and for a moment forget about what you've seen and the fear of what's to come.

You decide to head downtown toward the Culton Apartment Building, which seems smaller and older than most of the other apartment buildings in Southwarren. While age hasn't been a friend to this place, it is still in good condition and is at least habitable. While no one rich would ever live in an old place like this, it still serves as a decent place for working-class Pokémon to at least have a place they can call home.

You search the outside perimeter first. It seems like not too much is out there besides a few pieces of trash. As you check around the building, you notice the old brick walls need some restoration work, but it isn't tragic. At least not yet. In ten years or so, the building owner may not like what has become of the place.

By the dumpster, you notice someone has thrown out a partially-used Starwatch Holiday Candle, which seems like whoever threw this out probably only used it for the recently-passed holiday and had no intentions of saving it for next year. Even though the Starwatch holiday has passed, the candle is still in really good shape and could be used for the Sin Purge ritual once Tashy blesses it. You take it with you.

Item [Holiday Candle] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You then head into the main building, but before you do, you notice something else by the front door. It seems as though very recently, some black-furred Pokémon must have gotten hurt by this door as you see a clump of black hair caught in the lock hole in the doorframe. You think it's possible the door closed on their hand, leg, or some part of their body. It really must have hurt, but it does get you wondering if maybe this was from a Stalker prowling around at night. You're not sure, but it's better to be safe and test it.

Pokémon Sample [Black Hair] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You head in and check the six apartments themselves. Most of these apartments are in okay, passable shape. They're definitely not completely cozy and they leave a lot to be desired, but these Pokémon can't complain too much considering their salaries must be confining. Most of the belongings, furniture, and fixtures are relatively cheap. Meanwhile, these Pokémon don't have many expensive electronics or jewelry.

You check out the meeting area, and it seems like there's a few things here like a lunch table area, a coffee machine, a fridge, and a bookcase. At first, nothing seems all that unusual until you get to the bookcase, where old books are donated so that others can have the chance to read them and then pass them along to someone else.

One book in particular seems unusual. It looks to be a logbook, which isn't much for storytelling, but you can sense the Stalker presence on it. It gets you wondering if anyone else besides the Stalker even knows this book is here, but you figure probably not.

You decide to take this book with you. There are quite a few scientific things you don't quite understand about it from the text, the diagrams, and procedures. Maybe someone who has the mind for this kind of thing would have an easier time.

Item [Material Logbook: <Science>] has been added to the Team Inventory.

You make one last round through the hallways in bathroom areas, but you don't find anything else that seems to stand out. Still, it seems you've managed to find quite a bit here and you're sure it will be helpful in the challenges that are to come.
