After deliberating with some folks, Madder and I decided we are going to investigate 50. Kannari the Rhydon next.
I hope we get to witness a murder! Mwhahaha!
You are far too eager for this.

In the end, we couldn't get enough Emissaries coordinated!
I guess I'll just Restrain Orin again... what a waste of resources.
IF somebody else comes to take over, THEN
I will instead have a Lesson Interview with Eclipse the Houndour, to teach me how to Escort/Protect. Upon learning the skill, and in order to practice, I will Protect Marisha the Flaaffy.

I can restrain Orin.

One last check-in with Vex at the top of Trinket Tower.
Wheezing, he complains "STAIRS! I hate 'em! Should've taken a Flying type form... Y'know, I could morph into a Honchcrow right now! If I wasn't... so... exhausted!"
Bowing, he says with a sly smile, "The darkness purged, the tower checked and cleared by yours truly... Tell Timpani and the other residents they can return." He then walks out and takes in the proper view of the city as he speaks with Vex about new developments in the hunt for their foes, omitting the whole "Oh hey Orin nice of you to turn yourself in" thing. At the end, he starts to walk out, but he stops suddenly as he's walking away, turns to the Deduceye, and takes off his invisible hat, pulling out of it one of the two necklaces he made only hours ago. In the moonlight, the gemstone glistens brightly, as the stone did in sun. "I'm not commonly the kind to be so sentimental, but... When I first laid eyes on you, I knew I wished to be by your side. Please, take this. It holds no commitment for either of us, but... goodness, I'm tongue tied." He stood with the necklace in his hand, looking slightly embarrassed.
TL;DR: the top bold part, then a whole bunch of flavor text. I hereby claim Vex as the next season's player character for me.

Feeling somewhat irked by the fact that Rachta was uncooperative last time, you head straight towards where you figure the young tepig would be at this time of night, and surely enough, you find him at Jeek and Zundy. As you enter, you note that there are a few patrons here and there, but not many. You spot the tepig sitting by himself, flicking through an album of cards with his hoof-like feet. Occasionally he looks up towards the counter, where you meet eyes with Vex, who gives you a shadow of a smile before vanishing into a back room.
The tepig doesn't notice you as you move in, then stop by his side and stand over him. He jumps a little as his apprehensive gaze trails up your taller form to your eyes. He looks quietly terrified, but like he is trying his hardest to suppress any visible evidence.
"Y-yes?" he questions, and your face, radiating how unimpressed you are, darkens a little.
"Rachta, honestly, be compliant, will you?" you spit bluntly, half surprised at yourself for saying it aloud, but standing firm on your words. He goes to stutter some kind of question before you cut him off, mildly frustrated as you gesture towards the bag resting on the seat beside him. "You don't need that beat up old thing. It's evil." You sigh, tossing your glance around the room until it falls on a gemstone-themed pinball machine. "Here, I'll paint a rock for you instead," you grunt in a throw-away sort of fashion, pointing to the cheap stones stuck to the machine.
"I-I don't...want..." he starts quietly.
"I'll give you some splinters," you say, shrugging. "Whatever it takes. I just don't want your mind corroded by dark forces, kid." You rummage through your bag and withdraw your wallet, only to find fabric inside. That's right...you don't have any splinters. You clear your throat, abandoning your offer, and shove it back in your bag as you place both hands on the table and lean in close to the tepig's face. He recoils, mild panic on his face. "Where did you find it? Have you seen any others like it around?"
Rachta the Tepig is now COMPLIANT.
The fire-type's eyes continually flick to the counter, but clearly do not find what they're looking for as he begins shaking a little, but then swallows hard. "I-I f-found it at school. I-I just wanted to keep it! Nobody told me it was...evil." His face contorts into a mixture of confusion, reluctance, and fear, and he quickly digs through his bag and presents the igglybuff to you. He knocks it towards you with his hoofed foot and shuffles back in his chair. "I don't want it anymore, so please just...take it and leave me alone."
You pick up the small toy, noting that its eyes have been punctured and the majority of its form has been mauled. It's no bigger than the palm of your hand, but it's quite well made. Or, at least, it was.
[Mauled Toy Igglybuff] was added to the Team Inventory.
Finally you feel a smile stretch onto your face, at which point you turn to Rachta and pat the table while grunting a thank-you. The tepig barely manages to squeeze out a response as you leave his space and watch him relax just a little. His gaze follows you out, a look of shocked amazement on his face as you go. That was the first time you intimidated a kid, but it worked.

You head out in the nighttime darkness, finding the gruff Luxio standing guard at the Mercenary Guild. Despite the Stalkers being an ongoing danger to the community, he still needs to be vigilant for anything else that might be a threat to Salvage Keep.
You then greet him with your Adrenaline Orb, offering it to him as per his request.
[Adrenaline Orb] was removed from Carly's Inventory.
"Ah, you got one," he remarks, his face betraying a hint of anticipation, eyes locked onto the orb you give to him. "This is excellent. I was completely out of these, but this will keep me going until I get some more."
He then yanks off a yellow key he had strung around his neck, behind his black lion-like mane, and then offers it to you, showing an appreciative smile.
"Please, take this," he tells you, offering the key. "It's the key that will unlock one of the strongboxes in the barracks of the Mercenary Guild. Look for it by the yellow marking and take whatever you need for the road ahead. You've done me a big favor."
[Yellow Key] was added to the Team Inventory.
SIDE MISSION COMPLETED: Adrenaline Gives Me Wings
You then head back to base with the key in hand, wishing Typhen a good night on his watch.

Once you manage to track down the Vivillion sulking just outside Salvage Keep, he looks at you from the corner of his eye and he can already guess perfectly why you're here. It's as if he was expecting you.
"So they sent you," he mutters, brooding a bit. "Well, that's just fine. I take it you'd like to go back to that collapsed house? Might as well, I doubt anyone would complain."
You decide to go through with it, taking Orin to the Collapsed House and restraining him there, binding his butterfly body in accordance to his instructions. You strap him into the bindings and restraints tightly, making it impossible for him to budge at all. You do a check and confirm he can't move his tiny hands, his feet, and his large wings are completely strapped down as well.
#4 Orin the Vivillon has been Restrained until Day 6: Day
"There you go, well done," he tells you in kind of a cynical undertone.
In the meantime, you keep a firm watch on him throughout the night.

Using your newfound Scavenging skills, you head down to the southwestern Tunnel Ruins to see what you might be able to dig up. Thanks for your new knowledge, you have a better idea of what kinds of signs to search for and what areas might have the most opportunity as opposed to areas that never had anything at all or were already picked clean. As you find, quite a few areas here have yet to be discovered and mapped out, or at least were forgotten about quite a long time ago. You figure those are the best places to start with as you search and keep an eye open for anything that might be of value.

You find your soul significantly more refreshed and cleansed.
You then approach Mistee and focus your powers on his mind. Memories of darkness and the horrors of the slaughterhouse are still there. You drive the horrors and the anguish out, knowing that while Mistee cannot forget these things once they have been seen, the agonizing damage they have done seems distant. Like an old memory that no longer feels as intimidating as it once was.
